For the majority of players you might not be comfortable with a buckler, so there is no harm in using the round shield / heater shield if you are more comfortable with those. I don't find blocking to be very useful in this game. I have played medieval games like Mount & Blade for 10+ years and have been an NA duel champion, but blocking in this game is just not nearly as effective in my opinion as those. If you would like to run round / heater and not the buckler I would recommend using the chapel de fer.
quick tip, change the titile to "Ranked 3 fighter in the world" makes more clear that you are an insane player. When i hop on the video i thought it was the 3 best fighter builds
There is a letter limit for titles so it is hard to put that because I go past the letter limit with that title, but thank you! I appreciate the support

Very interesting been rocking the falchion/heater for sometime but switched to Longsword because it kind of just feels better because of the big Dmg. This look also fun with the better MS through the buckler and the Longbow utility.

Update: A few people are asking how much armor rating is lost after the latest patch, and the answer is only around 1-3% PDR. That's really not a big deal honestly, a very very minor change. Build is still just as effective as it was. I'm going to be using the exact same items.

I thought i would slay in Dark and darker because i was a Mordhau Hammer/spear gigachad. Oh boy have i been schooled. But hey, today is the first day after a week of playing duos with my friend where we actually won more fights than lost. Ranger+Warlock is probably also a nasty comp to play against since we do LOTS of running away and re-engaging.
This guide was a nice insight into what "endgame" looks like. Not sure if we will ever dig into it, were pretty comfy in sub 25's or sub 125's. Playing the market (selling/buying gear) is just sooooo tedious, i could probably not be bothered to buy new kits every time we wipe (wich is very regulary).

Hi! I started this season and love the build so far, especially it doesnt go meta move speed (which in solos might be needed a bit more, but still doable).
I have a question about the bow: survival bow is an absolute meta in pvp, just curious why not survival bow? Is it an idea to play around covers and peek like a crossbow, but faster?
And if you go with the longbow, is recurve bow also an option in your opinion?
@@mateusznaparty2984 Survival bow is good when a player builds a lot of + True physical damage. Without the + True damage, its not that good. Recurve bow would be a thing that I could run on my current build, but I am just more comfortable aiming with the longbow. Hitting your shots is very important.

@@r-yt-g PvP on fighter requires a lot of running away, and then running back to the enemy player. Things like smite, savage roar, divine protection, blow of corruption, demon form, bloodstained blade, curse of weakness, holy strike, all kinds of stuff makes us lose really easily. So lots of running away because our class is mid as hell! But after the enemy is exhausted (if we haven't died yet) then we can fight, and possibly win? Not guaranteed (this is a sarcastic post because we are a bottom 2 class)
@@r-yt-g for actual advice, like I said in the video if you need more move speed try Lightfoot boots or chapel de fer helmet. Use francisca axes, bring prot potions, etc. Land your shots as much as you can, and using a bow is a good idea unless you have insane headshot accuracy on crossbow
Great video! In my case I love the longsword but I must say that I suck at it and even more so at choosing the perks and the type of armor I should wear, could you give me some small tips? Do you think the kit you use would work for me with a longsword?
Do you play with team mates or solo mostly? Build effectiveness changes with what mode it is

@@Pierre-sv6kp You could still do this build with a longsword. Just keep in mind I am doing A LOT of ranged work. Peep my latest video to see what im doing to compliment my warlock kiting team mate as an example.

How do I deal with druids and bards? They seem to be my main issue
@@wonderousgrace6877 For druids, you want to try to never get hit by the bear form. Always try to have the timing in between a bear form swing to get a free attack. Prior to that, shoot them a lot. For bard, shoot them a lot too. Not sure what problems you're having specifically so feel free to comment more specific circumstances and I can help you out, I do a lot of PvP 👍
why falchion/shield over longsword? genuinely wondering bc i feel so weak with falchion but when i use longsword i feel invincible
The buckler allows me to continue to stack armor rating. The shield provides armor, and I get a +Armor rating roll. So I get a lot of PDR from the item. This allows me to survive longer. On occasion I do block with the buckler when I feel like it is a good idea. Using the longsword is doable, but typically only the top 1% of longsword players will find real success with it. I used to be a longsword main, but I feel like right now just being extra tanky is more generally better for pvp.

@@haux5230 I got you bro! I will make a video called how to fight against longsword players with a falchion. I just killed two warlocks in HR who were both using blow of corruption builds with longsword and grimsmile rings. Drop a follow on RUclips to see it when it uploads.
Why do you play falchion over other options?
@@lonewolfaus4817 I like to be close to a target, so weapons like the arming sword are a poor choice due to the more severe "weak spot" damage and area on it. If arming sword had a more falchion-like "weak spot" I would use that. Daggers are mid on fighter and require true damage stacking. Viking sword is mid too. Falchion & Longsword are the only options remaining with that criteria.
How come you have a 5th extra stash slot? I'm maxed out at a 4th :l
There's a tavern master quest called "Confronting the Darkness" which gives a free stash space

@@feetenthusiast1015 for pvp effectiveness, no, there is literally no difference. I just like having a larger screen for enjoyment. There are plenty of esports players who use a smaller monitor. Also WHAT IS THIS PFP AND USERNAME LMAOOO

@@stricklandpropane4075 if you are more comfortable with a crossbow. You can use the crossbow with chapel de fer & lightfoots or something to be really fast.
Edit: That would also clear up a perk slot

@@XennaShieldOP-pu6le when I do my final push, my team mate is literally at 20% hp. And I turn the tide, I do most of the damage, I am the one taking the damage, I am the one causing both the phantomizes.
Yeah the title of this should of been "Ranked 3 fighter" I thought I was going to learn something and all I learned was to somehow get 5k buy a "cheap set". Majority of us are playing the game for free and not wanting to buy it because it seems your only good as your gear so all these people that are super geared just kill you. if you want some crazy views and subs how about Mr 3rd rank fighter kick some but with very cheap gear like greens and then we will be impressed. You clearly know your stuff about being a geared fighter but how are you not geared?
@@WoodardsQuest I can buy a 100k set multiple times, but I was showing what to get for the average person. I have a newer video showing fighting good players in HR if that would be something you're more interested in.
@@SchoiPvP Bro myself and my friends are your average players and at most someone might have 700g not 35k. because we get some crazy insane decked out players that pay thousands for their loot to just 2 tap all of us. Games not fun

@@SchoiPvP I wish there was something I roll fighter and I cant afford the builds everyone shows I am broke and go in with a low gear score and doesnt matter if I peel, bait, 3rd party Good gear will 2 tap me.
@@WoodardsQuest Fighter is not an easy class to play, fighter is not the best in melee, and not the best in ranged, fighter isn't even the best tank. The strong point of fighter in this game is its versatility, its B tier at melee and ranged. You must use both together in order to succeed. Barbarian / Cleric are more strong right now in melee.

Phantomize. Duos is way easier. Also It was a clip where u really didn't explain anything because there's nothing to explain u and a warlock r chasing warlocks in a congested area, thats it. if u r gonna show "how to defeat a warlock" or" how to chase a warlock down as a pdr fighter with lo ms " u should prob do it one on one. Cause i would say thats what the average person wanta to see. Again. Not hating justly thoughts
