This player got a Doom who can 1v4 and live, a Mercy who pocketed him, and an Ana that hit offensive nades in silver. That’s way more than anyone should expect out of their teammates.

is ana hitting offensive nades in silver not common??? im hardstuck silver supp (peaked dia but didnt play a while) and i use anti all the time??? it's part of her kit u gotta use it. its even more useful if you use it in a team fight, heal team, anti enemies. do silver anas not know this???
@@feltcnz7829my observation is that Silver Anas are still so insecure about their aim that they mostly waste Nade to heal squishies, or they panick-nade themselves when they take 10 damage.
Average dps player after getting saved over and over again by their support: "I was doing everything by myself"
Seems to happen more and more at higher levels. I'm in high diamond now slowly moving to masters and all I get is crap about how I suck as Moira even though I have the most healing in the game and more damage than any of our dps, and Ive kept our tank from ever dying. But apparently I'm not only supposed to do that, Im supposed to follow our dps all over and be their personal pocket as well. Didn't used to get this at lower ranks.
@@dash4800i feel like with moira that’s just bc she doesn’t have a lot of utility, so in comparison to kiri or ana or bap, she doesn’t provide a lot for the team and that’s probably why higher rank player complain about a moira
not saying ur bad or anything by any means, just saying u can do everything in your power and it still won’t be enough for dps players lmao they just can’t accept they have to play with their team a little and expect moira to give them invincibility or smth

Sure, she doesn't have a way of giving you temporary immunity like Kiri or bap, but she is one of the strongest in the game when it comes to healing AND damaging. If a Moira is playing with 10k healing while every other healer is sitting at say 6k, you can't say she's not providing a ton for the team. Not to mention she can easily target squishies like a genji during deflect or a sombra trying to escape
I understand what you were trying to say about how it feels from the dps' perspective that they want invulnerability n flashy stuff, but I guess your wording kinda gave the impression that she doesn't give the team a clear benefit
I think players need to remember that the enemy team are…humans too. Fully capable of out-smarting and out-performing your best plays. I used to have that “my team isn’t doing enough” mindset until it really set in my head that sometimes the enemy team just made better plays we couldn’t react to. There are still times where my teammates are goofy, but when I focus more on what the enemy team is doing better than us and working on exploiting it-that’s when I saw a genuine climb. Idk.

Early on their Doom got 3 on his own and had helped the Ashe kill the half Lifeweaver that they couldn't kill on their own. Yet they want to blame teammates lmao
but his ashe play was perfect and their doom didnt create space. :(

I see too many people who have this same mentality, and even if you are all the damage and elims it doesn't matter if it's not valuable damage or kills. Staying to kill two, only to die yourself can end up putting the other team at an advantage. You're also just charging ults if you're doing a lot of damage. I've noticed that I'll have a lot of games now where I"m not doing much damage but really racking up the kills.
@@Mattlott222 I see this all the time with flankers like Genji or Sombra. They talk about their stats but in reality 90% of the game we are fighting 4v5 while they are going around the flank. Then we lose the team fight but they come in afterwards and get 2 picks on low hp targets and act like they did so much. The point is to win the team fights. If what you are doing is not helping with that you arent of any use to the team.
This guys shouldn't be complaining, but I wanna point out that the supports were playing correctly. Ana supporting Doom while Mercy supporting DPSs, is by the book. Mercy should not follow Doom into frontline if he's not in critical condition.

Classic low rank DPS play, you can kill the tank again for an extra kill and 500 ish more on your numbers, really helps add fake legitimacy later on when you flame the supports that have been carrying you, then say "well i was focusing the tank basically solo, you're telling me it's my job to kill the mercy too now?"
This doomfist was hard carrying the game while this guy was afraid to hit 2 shots in a row and somehow its the tanks fault
Supports were good as well, kept him alive and saved many times. Often silver supports focusing just on healing tank.

One of the biggest issues I noticed on this gameplay, which is very common among lower ranked players, is how they view the enemy team as simple targets and not opponents. When they turn the corner by themselves and see 4 people, all they can see is 4 targets out in the open ready to be killed. In the mean time all the other team is seeing is a single target that will be shot by 4 people simultaneously and go poof instantly
Yeah, I see that a lot. Gold and silver players, try to win a one vs five with Reaper or soldier ult.
Seems like a common theme with the lower ranks to say you’re hardstuck because of your teammates. 😂
49.99% of the time it is, that being said its not an excuse for not able to rank it’s mostly a skill issue

It's funny that people expect to be rez'd by Mercy no matter what and then they'll be mad about it for like the rest of the game. I'm like a simp for Mercy, I'm just grateful when she interacts with me. I'll die in a bad spot and be like "there's no way she's rezzing that-OMG she's doing it! She's crazy! Idk how she didn't die! I love you!" Now that I think about it, 90% of the time I'm the one the stays back around a corner or something after Mercy dies so she can GA to me and get back faster, or I get dangerously close to a fight with just her left to help her get away and get back to the team.
Mercys need more love.
This is legit. I'd actually add that im more likely to get pissed at my Mercy for flying in to save me when I've overextended or died in a stupid spot, or res's me, rather than a support or tank when we're in a 3v4.
as a mercy main, if someone taxi's me back, I will do my BEST to make sure they live/kick ass. You want a mercy to love you? Say hi in spawn lol. 9/10 I will pocket whoever say's hi back first.

1. Suboptimal positioning, often neglects their effective range and high grounds
2. Tunnel visioning on premade actions (like "MUST SHOOT DYNAMITE AT ALL COST" even when its clearly not gonna hit anyone)
3. Making more bad decisions than good ones (target priority, fighting in the open all the time for no reason, etc)
4. Even when good decisions are made, they are made very slowly or with hesitation (doesn't seem to know what a good decision is, and most of the time stumbles into it by accident)
5. Panics with rushed aim despite fundamentally decent mouse mechanics for their rank
6. Very panic reaction based use of coach gun, rarely uses it to get a high ground or pre-emptively distance themselves from the enemy. Rein has to come into their face before they coach away (and often do a poor job of it as a result)
All in all, lots of potential to climb out of Silver. Problem is, having potential is not the same as actualizing potential and being good. The hard work has to be put in, so the skill from that potential becomes consistent and reliable.
I would suggest just focus on one of the abovementioned aspects at a time, as you improve one by one, you will climb easily. My advice would be focus first on playing your effective range and use high grounds/map to your advantage as often as possible. Every single time you die to something up close, ask yourself why you were close enough to be reached, or why you weren't on a high ground to deny the enemy advance entirely.
Bet they play pharah mostly on the ground too.

Im 2 minutes in the guys complaining about teammates and has a mercy pocket. That tells me all i need to know about the rest of the match.
Bruh missed two dynamites immediately, couldn't kill a half-dead solo Lifeweaver, and failed to secure multiple *easy* kills in the first few minutes.
Definitely their team's fault. Maybe even the enemy's fault for not holding still. Ashe was playing perfectly.

Man, I remember the 'feels like it's not my fault' phase like it was yesterday. Like looking back on your embarrassing high school years or something.
And I just love seeing 'It's not my fault' and then within a minute we see things they could seriously improve on. I just love that reminder.
And to be clear: I still have a lot to improve on. But I don't blame my team mates anymore when we lose.
Blaming teammates early in the game is such a waste of time anyway. They could have just had a single bad engagement, but they are a solid player... then you talk some shit and they don't feel like trying to play their best anymore. So many toxic shitters in silver could get to gold, maybe even plat if they would just focus on what they are doing wrong.
I am not joking when I say, 90% of the videos I watch of people playing in silver, there is ALWAYS someone flaming their teammates, and that team _usually_ loses. Don't underestimate the power of human psychology.
All the while you can spend that time and effort trying to make a productive play.

8:00 Finally someone who is just like me and loves to randomly press buttons. Spray usage went up by +100% when I started playing because I just love pressing buttons and have such a habit of it lol
Poor Mercy always getting blamed for no reason
She only rezzed me twice successfully and once she failed, and she only pocketed me for 90% of the game. She needs to do better.
The amount of times they would just spam zoomed out shots on ashe instead of scoping in at medium range was killing me. Same with the times where they had low ammo for large amounts of time without being in a fight but never reloaded until they got to 0 bullets
They should add an option to switch colors during a replay
The only way to climb, is to accept that you make just as many mistakes, if not more, than your teammates. The only way to improve is to acknowledge that, so you know what could have been done differently every fight.
Recently climbed to Diamond 1 on Sombra (from Plat 5) by using every death as a learning experience. Watching Fitzy and Questron vods also helps 😂
If you have much better mechanics than people in your rank, then you probably _DO_ make many more mistakes than your teammates. Otherwise you wouldn't be stuck in that rank.
@@josephdavis3472 all I’m saying is if you stop flaming your team mates and instead ask yourself how YOU could have done better in that lost team fight, your skill will improve naturally, thus your rank should also improve.
Even if it was largely due to the fault of your team mate, it’s not constructive to focus on them. Next game they probably won’t be on your team, but in your head you’ll still be attributing that loss to someone else, ridding your conscience of any guilt for a small role you might have played, like a kill that took you longer than it should have, your positioning, your line of sight to your healer. If you gradually improve on these you WILL climb, regardless of brain dead teammates
It’s just a healthier mindset for playing the game

Yeah i agree with the mindset of not blaming your teammates first, i laugh at people that started blasting on people, have fun dude, you start losing when your negative thoughts start winning
I think a really useful tip is to also look out for your team. If Mercy is vunruable because she's going for a play who is a threath to her? If the tank is tanking who is a threath to them? Interupting the Sombra that is in the process of hacking your tank is much more important than doing 5% of the enemy tank's health. Also if you get a tank kill, but they have a live Mercy she is going to want to get that res because it's such a high vlaue character. So you should attack in such a way that you have control over the location where you killed them.
I always jump just to hit buttons too, i’m trying to get out of that habit-
tip: strafe spamming is actually MORE buttons to hit :P
with the added bonus of it being the basics of good movement AND it improves your aim because strafing adjust your aim independent from your mouse
just remember not to hold one direction for too long when you're in a close range duel, that's real bad
Sometimes I jump when I melee, or use my e ability when I try to reload. The worst one recently was when I was playing Ana and my brain went terribly backwards. Hit shift instead of e while low health, and instinctively flicked the shot when I saw the sleep dart animation start but also retained enough 'nade intention that I shot the dart directly at my feet before dying.
I play Reinhardt so my jumping to hit buttons doesn't matter lmao

I think once this submitter steps off their ego and starts actively PLAYING the game - play to have impact, not autopiloting like it's a nighttime silly goofy qp, that's when they'll be ready to improve. you won't get better let alone climb if you default to blaming your teammates for your losses [+they must've watched this before submitting so the fact they stuck w/those 'opinions' says a lot]. that only holds ppl back bcs no matter how good someone is, there's *always* smth to work on
if anything the doom and the supports were the ones keeping the ball rolling
tips;
get rid of the jumping habit, stop standing out in the goddamn open, learn better positioning, capitalize/punish enemy mistakes [ex. enemy mercy rezzing out in the open/right in front of you], stop shooting at mach 10 speed and actively think about where you aim, EKCE6 - 'havana strafe practice' neat aim/ability practice tool, if you're struggling with aim still then maybe readjust your sens, improve target priority [esp with certain abilities ex: cass nade], don't shoot zarya bubbles unless she's low to burst her down if possible, exercise better awareness + less tunnel vision, more confidence and most importantly b r e a t h e

I just don't understand why people need to be toxic, overwatch is a team game and yes sometimes there things team mates need to work. on things but if you are losing 5 games (not say they did just an example) in a row there something you need to work on.
From the description and the gameplay, I don't felt they were being toxic. The person that shared a replay of the match simply critized their teammates performance, and that's not really toxic

And there's also the fact on why they are low rank: They couldn't neither notice their own mistakes nor their team's good decisions, that's why they jumped to the conclusion that their team played bad instead of themselves doing bad decisions
Sending their replay with their own view over what happened in the match to a person from higher ranks was a great decision. In the video, you can notice Emongg not only helped them to improve their own gameplay by spotlighting their mistakes, but also showed to them the good decisions that their team made, showing that their game-sense also needs improvement so they can better judge the situation instead of blaming on their team

One thing that should always keep in mind when playing: don't die. If you were dead, you cannot do dmg, you cannot kill anyone, you cannot push payload, you cannot do anything. As long as you are alive, you can at least stop or push the payload which is the ultimate goal of the match. If getting elim and dmg and then die is the way to win, then back in the day, 6 dps should win any game.
Aaah, this is the sort of player that I LOVE playing against, because they're a good enough shot to punish any stupid mistakes I may make, but also their positioning is so bad I can just roll them 80% of the time XD

So the tank thing is obviously very well-covered all ready and I just wanted to say: I saw your Mercy get pretty well every reasonable rez that was worth getting. She wasn't rezing on cooldown, she wasn't taking risky rez's, and she wasn't taking worthless rez's (bringing someone back up when they were going to respawn right there or on lost fights). She was rez'ing right; and if you think she wasn't, that's because you expect your Mercy to behave like they're in silver and when they play smarter than that you think something's wrong.
Which suggests that actually you have an expectation and mindset issue, which jives with some of the behaviours and gamesense in the vod. The plus side is you're a good hitscan player; if you can work on these issues and your positioning a bit I do think probably you'll get out of silver.

I never blame my team. I see it as a team effort, so if they fail, I fail. Plus, most things I see people do wrong, I have done a million times. UUFF.... Jumping comment was interesting. I jump all the time as I was taught to in games like this. This was an excellent point, and I will adjust what I do :D

Yeah dude needs better positioning and target priority. He was standing main and trying to duel enemy tank far too often. He also made no effort to stop enemy Mercy from getting at least 2 extremely obvious (and very Silver) reses on the enemy tank basically in his face. There are some people in comments here saying his aim is bad, and sure it's not amazing aim, but that isn't his issue. Better positioning will help his aim and survival. Get more kills on squishies, die less. It just feels like this guy is auto-piloting and not trying to actually make an impact.
I like these reviews where Emongg has to give the submitter a bit of an ego check.
He got resurrected 3 times, plus one failed attempt, not to mention all the other resurrections his mercy did on other teammates. Doomfist is somewhat suicidal going in 5v1 at times, but to say he is afraid? The doomfist almost has too much courage at times. He says he feels like he is doing most dmg and kills, but I dont think he got even close the kills of his Pharah teammate, nor of Doomfist. He is out in the open facetanking most incoming dmg. Never once flanked the enemy team. He keeps shooting the tank! Unless the Mercy or Soldier is in his face, he is shooting the tank. Are you sure we are talking about the same game?

As a silver stuck Ashe, it's so easy for me to agree with you and criticize this guys gameplay even though It looks exactly like mine 😅 AND I DONT KNOW HOW TO GET BETTER !!
Ashe is a aim intensive hero so that'll just happen over time. But making sure you have proper dynamites and you abuse high ground will already get you out of silver.
A bit of analysis and watching killcams will help you a lot identifying mistakes of your own. Its also a very good idea to always keep track where your supports are, so you can get to them fast if needed.

I don't mind the missing shot on Ashe cause I'm also missing shots (still practicing) but you need to hit dynamite so that you can make bob do the killing job for you and be your escape goat from missing the aim 😔🙏🏻
Edit: and please be at high ground (depends on situation thou) when using Ashe or hitscans hero, it will create more space because people have to focus two place and easier to hit enemies
I only blame my team when my tank likes to feed alone... My selfsteem isn't good, so all the time I just feel like I'm the one to blame lol (I'm only diamond tho, so it's probably my fault lmao)
Diamond is already the top 15% of players iirc, so don't be too hard on yourself!
Diamond tanks are a dice roll to be fair, either cracked or awful in my experience.
@@ShadowOfEntropy well, diamond is 15% os the players but at the same time ranks are kinda inflated in ow2. My aim just doesn't help me sometimes. I main hitscan heroes and mainly play cassidy. There are days that I hit most of my shots and days where I can't get even 40% acc, and this makes me feel awful while playing.
Tanks truly are a dice, it's really sad to see a tank with no perception walking to his death while the rest of the team is just spawning after a lost fight...

I think they dont understand the concept of space and they want a rein to hold shield for them.
This dude's positioning and cooldown use is what has him hard stuck silver. When playing Ashe I never once saw him take a high ground off angle to help pressure the enemy. As Cass he was either too far away to be effective or entirely up the enemy backside. Furthermore, he kept using Cass roll to engage/reposition aggressively. Cass's roll GREATLY reduces incoming damage and from my experience it's almost always best to use his roll as a defensive maneuver. And yeah Emongg nailed it with the Soldier 76. I'd have in immediately dashed to contest the high ground in the back. Tell Mercy to GA to you so you could easily take the 1v1 against their Soldier or at least muscle him into retreat.

funny story that happened today.... I joined a quick play game and picked doom, this game happened to be at 92% in the enemies favor. someone on my time said "ffs another doom". people in gold and below just think doom is trash because they aren't good enough to get value out of him and it's sad.
When your opponents picking Orisa, Moira, Ana and Sombra maybe you shouldn't play doom.

Low rank dmgers have no aim, they just drill the tank the whole game expect a miracle to happen and carry them. So a tank is supposed to keep the tank busy so they can shoot them instead of getting wiped by them (despite them only shooting the tanks anyway), to get enemy dmgers and idet they think about healers at all

I'm sorry but so far I see the Doom do an excellent job while the Ashe can't hit a dynamite and needs help killing a Lifeweaver after a wild hunt. Mercy has been doing her job too. Yes, sometimes you get teammates who could do better or who are feeding their brains out but if it happens every game and the only thing in common is you, then... YOU are the problem. Try to focus more on yourself, what you can improve and you'll climb when the time is right. And please, PLEASE, don't stand in the middle of the road against a turret form Bastion

4:26 I think the complaint about the Doom likely has something to do with the 15+ seconds of AFK after punching the Bastion off the map where if they'd moved up on the Soldier, their team possibly could have taken the corner before the Rein got back.
Why are they blaming the Mercy for not rezzing? Now I'm not done with the video but I've seen her rez a fair amount, even when it might not have been needed and would have been best to save it for team fights
The only res I care about getting or not getting is the panic res where you come back to life solo in the middle of a full team and you die again immediately making your respawn timer start over instead of coming back with team and partially staggering the team. Yeah I would pass on those. Any other res is appreciated but not expected.
I just got off a game as hanzo. Doom, reaper, and moira decided to try and jump me the whole game🤣🤣i was able to kill doom and reaper but my supports never came to help

Everyone is split up taking on a unified team alone. Healer is playing DPS. Sticking with a comp that's getting its butt kicked. And my personal favorite, nobody killing Mercy.

I know I've been playing games and it can feel like you're the only one doing anything, but that's because I've not got the awareness yet of where my team is. So that's legit my issue. If I were to rewatch I'd probably see I'm playing stupid and they're trying to recoup 😂

On a sniper, if I have half the damage of my co-damage, but twice the kills? Is it still my fault? I ask because I ran into this situation with both a Soldier76 and a Junkrat. Which makes sense as they both just pour out the damage. I did swap off, but that was to specifically counter someone like Tracer, Sombra, or Genji so my Supports could live. EDIT: I am a silver like this guy. I deserve Silver. His aim is no better than mine.

The amount of times I wanted to pull my hair out because of how bad their positioning was 😂 Sure, he was not the best mechanically speaking but positioning is always the key. And as a support main player who gets verbally abused by dumb teammates who are overextending and/or are just in bad positioning overall, I always say, “I can’t heal stupid”. 🤷♀️

I was surprised his Mercy didn't Pharmercy when there was a Phara on their team. I think the Mercy just having to dump healing constantly into him to keep him alive all the time and not be playing a 4v5 game.

Not really, you can't carry a team by yourself when you not at least 3 ranks higher. So you stuck with the team you got and when my Ash miss 5 shots in close range, and my support picking Zen and Lucio what should I do as a tank. Or I outkill all players with Zen, but we still lose because I'm the only one in the team who got kills. I stuck for months, I got even deranked from Plat and I know when I make mistakes, I even say sorry if I clearly make mistakes or I'm just diff. (also diff because the other guy is better, not if he is a smurf, I can't beat GMs)

I just recently got out of silver after a year long battle 😭. This guy could not play gold games imo. My first game back in gold after the recent changes I could see the skill diff between gold and silver players ( as a support main the games actually became hard for me and enemy team started noticing I was there lol) , even in just gold 4 and 5 the game sense is much better. He just needs more practice and help from our fav Emongg
