I can't not laugh everytime Emongg goes "alright back to the soldier" and he immediately dies and face-plants. My cheeks hurt from smiling. Thanks for the video, emongg!
This soldier has to be a COD player, running in trying to burst someone down with a rifle or smg then running in to a new target. But as we all know that doesn’t work in ow since there is healing and high sustainability.
I just commented the same thing lol. Reminds me of kinda how I was except my brother is a diamond player and taught me to chill tf out but I’ve never come close to 41 deaths lol
Honestly I thought the same thing as soon as I saw his first play, it seems like someone who’s used to regenerative health. Not to mention (at least in MW2019) you can have a really high death count, but as long as you’re playing the objective you can hit the top of the scoreboard
This guy reminds me of when Martian Manhunter read Doomsday's mind in that one Justice League movie. "No real thoughts. It's all aggression. All about the fight."
the best part is that the damage and distractions they provided sometimes helped. this is probably the most value ive ever seen out of someone dying before
One thing I think they need to add to the stat sheet is healing received (from heroes only). So many times people complain that they specifically were not getting healed and it would be a great way of validating/disproving that especially if someone is getting flamed for dying a lot.
be real, they will find another reason to deflect blame, the only way to remove all toxicity is to just remove all forms of chat, which is an awful idea
They REALLY need to add this. Because tanks need to get their head out of their butts and use natural cover instead of crutching in heals. Dps would get more healing with a competent tank
@@AarPlaysTo be fair, DPS needs that natural cover, as much as tanks. Healing priority would support DPS being target healed more if they would follow the same idea. Supports would be able to heal more that way.
A lot of the times that I've played DPS, some players died, lied, and we're too reckless with plays causing their death. If it wasn't the support "not healing", it was the other DPS or tank not "doing enough damage" for those players.

I know exactly what is happening here. I have a CoD friend who is actually really good at CoD, like offensively good, but he joined us for OW one time. He was so used to pushing a group of 3 or 4 and being able to kill them that he had similar results to this soldier. Not entirely his fault, but OW plays so uniquely that any style of play aside from the correct way is going to be frustrating and painfully obvious.
It kinda feels like this Soldier normally has a Mercy pocket or Kiriko pocket who constantly keep him up while he face checks a whole team, so he's just started playing that way
I love making such plays when possible as Brigitte. Fun stuff. The comments( along with the video and commentary on it) were just fantastic to read and see. Thanks everyone!
this brig is really good about using shield bash to get behind cover, we love to see it. they prevent a lot of their own deaths that way, which is huge
It's gotten harder with the sombra buff to virus which almost one shots Brigitte now. Just a random virus without a hack and a few bullets shot and almost every support dies instantly. Also there seems to be a sombra in every game now or a quick swap to one if getting diffed in any way.
@@ianchambers37 tbh Sombra hasn't been that big of a problem in my games personally. don't get me wrong, she's annoying to play against and we all love how she can stand afk behind the team until the perfect moment (dear ow devs, she'll never be balanced and tolerable until you put her stealth back on a timer!), but with a little awareness and strategy, she's manageable imo. I have a lot of success playing around cover with corners so that if she comes up behind me, I can go around the corner to avoid any follow up shots but still be out of sight of the enemy frontline. then I ask for healing or use a cooldown on myself and we're good to go. @sethescope I find on tanks especially like dva or rein, no issues, and I murder her. On dps, it's a mixed bag, say if it's a soldier or reaper, I usually live due to self-healing. It just seems to be on support if I am someone other than kiriko, Ana, or Bap, but then I gotta waste my self heal usually to live. Doesn't seem to matter what rank I am in or even if chilling in the middle of my group(seems a 50 50 if they do anything at all and usually i have to say something in voice chat to even get them to look since many ignore pings), lol. It feels instant with the new buff even when I do play around corners since the self heal doesn't kick in faster than she can run around and shoot me unless I get a lucky swing on brig etc. Bums me out since Brigitte is or was a main but I feel forced off her even in a dive comp meta.
Reminds me of how I first played dota 2 as a kid. Coming from warcraft 3, I just walked in the enemy forest looking for heroes and got killed repeatedly.
Honestly, this Soldier probably keeps going straight in because even though he gets punished for it, it works in those key moments it really needs to in order for them to progress xD
DPS is my absolute worst role, but I like to play it for fun sometimes (mostly in Unranked where I’m not messing with anyone’s SR) just to play something different and take a break from my main (Moira) every so often. My friend and I were playing last night, and they kept apologizing every time I would die because they weren’t able to heal me. I told her that I don’t expect heals as a flank DPS (I like playing mostly Reaper, Sombra, Tracer, Widow, and sometimes Mei) because I know a few locations of health packs, and when I can circle back to the team to get some healing, especially between fights, like when we’re just pushing robot or cart. Also, it’s my own damn fault if I die, especially if I’m out of LOS and not a priority. Is it nice to get a little love from Mercy (who they mainly play as a healer) now and then? Sure. But I’m not expecting a pocket, especially if there’s a more attractive option for that pocket, like a Soldier who can protect them a bit better. I wish more DPS understood what is and isn’t possible for supports, especially during fights.
Getting inspire is important, but not if it comprimises your positioning and causes you to die. This brig already has questionable positioning sometimes so i worry that the advice "trigger inspire more often" could cause them to put themselves in danger more to try to trigger it, and die in the process
