Killing Black Noir was one of the dumbest things Homelander has ever done, because Noir REALLY DID have his back in ways he couldn't really even understand. I think even keeping the secret from Homelander was not something Noir considered a betrayal, because it was partially for Homelander's own protection. Don't get me wrong, I think Noir's primary reasons were NOT wanting to rock the boat or do anything that might lead to Soldier Boy coming back and being a threat to him personally again. But at the same time, I think Noir felt like Soldier Boy was a father Homelander would be better off NOT knowing. Part of why he didn't tell him was BECAUSE he cared about Homelander and didn't want to see him hurt (emotionally, if not physically). Now, Homelander has no one who is on his side because they actually CARE about him except Ryan... and I really see that going very badly for him in the future.
It's also probably a fear, deep seated, that the information will drive Homelander into Soldier Boy's corner. He obviously has parental issues, and he takes after Soldier Boy so much as it is, telling him that just might inspire him to converse with Soldier Boy and become partners, and _nobody_ needs that!
Still makes no sense to me didnt black noir have regen powers wasn’t that his thing? When we saw him fight Kim he regenerated if I’m not mistaken so watching homelander do that and he died was confusing to say the least
Homelander has an entitled and childish belief that everything will work out the way he wants despite his own actions or not fully knowing the reality of things. He thought soldier boy was just going to take him under his wing, them and Ryan would be one big overpowered fucked up family. Luckily soldier boy decided to be a terrible father like his

Black Noir deserved better, When he and the rest made the deal with Edgar about taking Soldier boy in captive, and replacing him with Homelander, he was relieved from the pain and trauma that Soldier Boy bestowed on him.. or so he thought he was. Noir thought he could trust Homelander, but turns out that trust was sadly excecuted. All Noir wanted was a true friend.

I like how it was through Black Noir's cartoons that we really got our best look at how truly sociopathic Solider Boy is. He doesn't care for other people, and his crippling insecurity makes him lash out with violence at anyone he perceives as a threat, often just hurting others or degrading them to cope with his own personal issues. They spent most of the season with a "maybe/maybe not" vibe on Soldier Boy being an victimized hero. And to have the reveal of his true nature be through Black Noir's fantasy toons was a good touch.
(TV-Show interpretation) I think the reason Black Noir (Earving) likes Homelander so much is because Homelander possesses the powers of Soldier Boy but doesn't abuse Noir, even though he could and even though he has all the same reasons to as Soldier Boy (barely any). Homelander seems to respect, trust and slightly look up to Noir as an older experienced supe. Noir probably didn't mention Soldier Boy to Homelander because he figured Homelander would feel threatened and even more paranoid if he knew Noir betrayed his previous leader equal to Homelanders strength. But also because Black Noir didn't want Homelander to become like Soldier Boy (even though he more or less already did), to not even remind him of Soldier Boy. Noir perhaps figured that Homelander's unawareness that he was Soldier Boy's son was the only thing separating him from becoming his cruel father, and all Noir wanted was a leader, despite his other flaws, that wasn't Soldier Boy.
homelander liked black noir because he knew his place in the seven. He did not try to become more famous (like he did in the 80s), soldier boy view his desire to star in Beverly Hills as a way to overshadow himself and that's why he sabotaged him. If homelander view black noir as a threat to his alpha place in the 7 I'm sure as hell he would have tried to take him down

Nope the type of “monster” black noir is vs home lander has everything to do with intentions and awareness. There's this amazing thing called "changing the story in an adaptation". The TV show has already left out characters from the comics and added some that weren't in the comics. The show Black Noir is not the same character as in the comics, and the whole storyline involving Black Noir has not been replicated in the TV show.
@@rsbrehm i like this change actually. In the comics, the black noir reveal comes across as kind of a cop out and cheapens the characterization of homelander, and sort of spoils a lot of the previous story. I also really like soldier boy in the show, while in the comics he is a random throw away supe. In most cases the book is better but "The Boys" comic plays fast and loose with itself, is extremely crude and so dedicated to being edgy that it takes away from the great core concept. The boys is overrated and is overshadowed by Watchmen in the realm of "superheroes, but realistically portrayed as human beings with flaws".

@@Imbettadenu I think your confusing sympathy with empathy dummy, any good villain has some degree of the audiences sympathy. Plus I'm sorta just comparing him to the comics version which was arguably a lot worse. Plus look at you your out rite saying that black noire had redeeming qualities, lol. I never said homelander was good. I reckong you might be the kinda dumb crazy one. Just throwing your logic back at ya. Here is a little secret I don't think people like you ever discovered... they're also fictional characters. Are you going to tell at every 6 year old who likes the dark side of the force? 🤣
Nope the type of “monster” black noir is vs home lander has everything to do with intentions and awareness. Soldier boy and home lander were conscious calculated killers with harmful intent behind their actions. Black noir was essentially a child in an adult body. He did what his company taught him was right and those who he cared about were also manipulative and evil. He didn’t know much better. It’s like comparing Frankenstein vs Frankensteins monster. Noir did deserve to be taught better and trained for goodness and not under the control of monsters (the vaught machine in general not just homelander). I will say we can make the arguement that homelander and other shoes can be seen as “Frankensteins monster” but I think a better sci go comparison is IAM from “I have no mouth and I must scream”.
That was less of a "Vs." And more of a execution
That broke Homelanders heart. Great scene...
Homelander's heart is so broken he's trying to rip it out and go full tin man.
what a baby Homelander
Black noir is Kenny from another universe
I like dat
well, he survived soldier boy attack, Pretty sure he can regenerate from Homelander's attack too
Agreed. I await his return in season 4.
I mean, his guts and vital organs were ripped out of his body.
@@atlanta1290bro soldier power is worst he can take your powers away an kill you if he would of hit homelander wit even a spec of that power he gone look just like black noir did when he got hit but a little more worse u trppin bro
He's in the Season 4 trailer. He's confirmed to still be alive.
I wish it was 10 seasons of this right this is literally my favorite show in the world no one always want to see superheroes save sometimes they have to be evil as well this show is made from a god thank you
Careful what you wish for because walking dead fans got that wish and regretted it
@@filletmignon5221And this show already massively declined in quality after S1. They clearly had no clue where to take things besides the Neuman plot, and it showed. They did the usual Amazon thing. Began filling in the blanks with identity politics.
@@TheStraightestWhitest I will say season 3 had some really good moments and seasons 2 but no doubt not one single doubt that if this show goes into 6 plus seasons it’s just going to plain and simple stop being good
Actually the biggest betrayal is danse being a synth
😂😂
That was a classic twist that I didn’t see coming and because I was a anti synth the whole game and was like man Danse come on don’t make me do this
That was such a crazy twist. Danse practically begged me to kill him and I respected his wish.
So if I remember reading something about the original story, Black Noir was supposed to be an upgraded Homelander clone right? So they definitely got something else going right now.
I mean, unless the show replaces the original with an ex machina, that won't be the case here.
There's this amazing thing called "changing the story in an adaptation". The TV show has already left out characters from the comics and added some that weren't in the comics. The show Black Noir is not the same character as in the comics, and the whole storyline involving Black Noir has not been replicated in the TV show.
@@Frawt There is an amazing thing called "the book is always better" and the Amazon Series was no exception!
@@rsbrehm i hope you're joking. the comic series is edgelord trash. the only value in this whole franchise is the acting of a few key live-action characters, most notably antony starr.
Black Noir must take his revenge
I think he's dead mate
@@rinkbp Fair, but remember people take bullets to the head and it's usually less "fatal" than one to the heart or lungs. Idk they framed it like he actually died.
He will through Ryan fir Homelander I think the Clone will take care of that
Homelander's Clone disguise as Black Noir
@@rinkbpin the comics, black noir was a clone of homelander, Vought needed some way to counter him if he ever got out of control and tried to kill everyone. the show went a different route, but killing BN may be their way to get back on track with the comics
Homelander was an idiot for this. BN had his back and was prepared to fight for him and for himself. Even though he had secrets, which everybody does, BN was his most trustworthy ally till the end. He'd didn't deserve to die like that.
In Homelanders eyes he did.
Nothing Homelander does is logical. He is an irrational, unstable and unhinged psychopath
JUSTICE FOR NOIR
Noir was ready to fight sb but then HL just had to kill him for dumb reason
When I heard him studder for the first time I was 😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
5:39 so glad they censored that terrible word, but left the animated sheep brains in
I feel bad for them both. Noir deserved better. And homelander felt like the only friend he had wasn't genuine after all
Noir killed thousands of innocent people for V
I like that the show is doing its own thing. And the comic black nor was actually a clone of Homeland. a more powerful clone and he kills homelander right there and takes his place.
RIP Black Noir.. he was my favorite "hero" in the series hands down! Cant help but think of him as a realistic Deadpool..
This dude needs a Golden Globe
I was so pissed at this. I wanted to see Black Noir join the fight against Soldier Boy.
Love how they got Eric Bauza to voice buster beaver! & you can kinda hear his bugs bunny voice!!!
Still was not expecting the beaver thing to be a devote Christian
Right? Can't. Stop. Jesus.

This show is so unbelievably good it's crazy
The face on homelander looked like a kid when they have to get rid of the family dog
When will season four come out?
They wrapped filming

Early 2024
Withholding important (and relevant) information is as bad as lying, no matter the reason.
I’m connecting this to my personal life, me being in the same spot as Homelander. It hurts, especially if the one doing it is the one person you trust the most.
So although this scene is saddening, I know how it feels to be in his place.
I have no superpowers and can’t punch a person through his guts though lol.
That was the real black noir... after I bet he was taken, he's gonna get replaced by the clone
I like that he trusted and was cool with noir he was my favorite character
Absolutely brilliant show
Homelander doing Billy's work for him.
Wait so is he not a homelander clone like in the comics?
No
Cause the comics suck
@@bungholio1586not really. the reason amazon picked it up was because of the comics popularity
His name is bungholio. @@lightup6751
Honestly I thought Black Noir would be the one to kill Homelander like in the comics.
What a creative dark superhero series this is! Love it sooo much. Really disturbing at time though…octopus scene, and especially when the dude crawls into the guys hoo ha
I hope I’m right that noir could survive an injury like that & season 4 has a surprise for us 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Difficult to feel sympathy for a murderer!
A devoted corporate assassin that silenced witnesses and whistle-blowers on Stan Edgar's orders. Oh, but we're just supposed to get over that because his last boss was mean. 😂
Rest in piss, ninja boy!
7:05. Nah he’s so going to hell
i’m surprised black noir hadn’t at least “spoken” asl, but the whole cartoon thing is a brilliant move nonetheless.
Sometimes I feel like black noir, so much to say but the words just can’t come out
I think that if Noir and SB were born few decads later, they'd be great firends and partners. And insted of taking down only SB, the Payback would have to face SB, BN and Gunpowder at once, in clash that'd make Capitan America Civil War blush.
Honestly, I don’t think this is the end for Black Noir.
You can tell from the comments that some people didn’t read the comics. I’m a be quiet, and not spoil anyone.
That escalated quickly i mean that really got outta hand fast
Can't wait for the show to come back
The cinematic adaptation was necessary and I like what they did with it. Not trying to get “I read the books and you didn’t” on anyone just sayin… The original story of Homelander and Black Noir is pretty crazy. It detracts from the complexity of Homelander but it’s interesting all the same
I’m sure HL knows that will not kill Noir. He never told the group that Noir was dead. They probably threw his guts back in and gave him a few pints of blood. Now that HL knows what a lousy dad he has,he must feel some sort of way about doing that this Noir!
He said he killed him, if he was alive they wouldn't have replaced him
I wanted black noir to fight soldier boy again with some better action performance... I mean ... Wouldn't it be beautiful... Just imagine .. black noir seeing soldier boy after years ...
Soldier boy : long time no see
Black noir : ....
(@ctionnnnnn)
black Noir was the Goat, and Killing him was the Dumbest Thing Homlandir did throughout the Series
Worst thing is actually Homelander is sad of killing Black Noir, he really considered him his friend, and yet he killed him, fucking savage
I was accepting homelander to cry in his arms and then he deboweled him 😭
Homelander: "Why didn't you tell me...."
Me as Black Noir: - deep sigh - * pulls old weathered note, like I've been holding onto this answer for a while * ["Because he can hurt you like no person on this planet can"] * point to heart *
If he still puts his fist through that, let him
What weird fan fic is this. Oof.
4:27 made me laugh.
Where all the men cried
0:00 soldier boy jumpscare
soldier boy.....really? thats his name? so everytime they say it in the show i just hear is "YUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"
The dumbest and most anticlimatic death in the show. They could make Homelander team up with Black Noir to fight Soldier Boy, instead we got HL killing Noir and Butcher teaming up with The Boys to kill Soldier Boy? who wrote this piece of shit?
I thought black noir was going to be that one superhero that was always going to be badass and walk away from these type of situations. The Boys proved me wrong lmaoooo
Homelander is in MK1 let's gooooooo!
Black Noirs death was the saddest in the show to me
I feel we didn't lose noir just that version but you know how they don't like their heros to die so they finally make the homelands clone
Thats what i think. That the noir we know from the show is dead. Now we will get the clone but homelander will think noir survived and is still weaker then him. Which will in part lead to his downfall.
@@damiencross7334I like this take this actually makes sense
@@damiencross7334I hope you're right. Personally I'm not happy with how they handled Noir in the show but I think your idea would make up for it
Black noir is still my favorite. He's the only one who was able to out true fear and terror in homelander because he didn't know what noir was capable of.
So we didn't watch the show, alriiiiiiiight
I miss the only noir. He didn’t deserve to die. He was really the black sheep😔😔
Black noir survived worst from soldier boy, for all we know his actual power might be to ressurect and not regeneration , which would make sense since he still got the scars from SB fight years later
prime finna hit 2 Mil subs cool
They really killed snake eyes like that.
This edit is hardcore
I honestly hope BN can heal from that... Somehow, I doubt he will though.
It occurred to me with his age and all black noir a mixture of batman and deadpool lol
The writing and acting is fukn incredible. Homelander is a fukn rock star. He owns this role.
if sage can survive a bullet to the dome, and noir survived a shield to the dome, he can survive being disembowled. has to. they arent keeping his character alive just to keep his image alive. he HAS to come back on some Allan the Alien type shit.
Honestly while I like what the show did with black noir imo the comics were much more to my liking
I loved finding out about Black noir in the comics… homelander thinking he was going insane because he didn’t remember doing all of the evil stuff noir had done while pretending to be him… awesome 👏
And how do you control an ultra powerful superman… by having a second one 👌
Having noir being a homelander clone would've been boring
@@PTS-Maidno. it was powerful and profound. the show is an amazon pick up. its good but follows mainstream formula
....WELL, AT FINAL.......SOMEONE WILL SAY THAT HE *_DID THINGS_*

BLACK NOIR,speaks not a word but his actions say in volumes 😢,it’s horrible that they killed off that character,I see the series ending soon as they will have no one to kill off next 😢
A show like The Boys shouldn’t be dragged out.
It’s a superhero satire. It’s a great show but also not all that deep for it to last too long
I actually liked Soldier Boy before I saw this episode..
Balck Noir was the sadest Id say. All of them are assholes, but blacknoir is was truly a product of his circumstances.
Black noire was the Deadpool that didn’t speak
this ad being on my feed a lot lately, is it a sign that S4 is coming out soon?
