You need an interview series call "Let's Get To The Pointe" or "To The Pointe" or "Pointe Made" I think learning about more experienced ballerinas lives is so interesting. And make them longer episodes. Lol.
My fitter only had the USA made GM shoes in stock, so I got fitted in those, but she ordered a pair based on the fitting but they‘re European made and now the fit is totally off. 😖 I thoughtI was crazy but it‘s exactly how you describe the differences between the products from the different factories. Too tight and too small. 😞
This was so sweet on so many levels! Good luck, Ashley and Congrast Josephine on the 'empty dance-mom nest' - you have all the right awwww-moments ... :)
Awh 🥺💗 this is one of the sweetest ones yet. I love seeing your personal connections with your dancers that come to you for a fitting. It's just so sweet 😭💗
Your timing is perfect - I'm in Suffolk pointe shoes which I absolutely love and have never had any other shoe feel as good as my current ones. The problem? They typically $150 CAD. As a neuroscience major who's still doing 2.5-3 hours of pointe 5 or 6 days a week I am literally dying.
Thank you for making these videos, got fitted in a new pair last week, after not wearing my last ones because they fitted me awful. Thanks to you I knew what I should and should not feel, and I knew what questions to ask. I'm now in a fr duval pro1!
Good luck to Ashley in college! Thinking of the people who work in other dance forms whom you've fitted, I'd love to see you fit someone who dances flamenco.
I love this channel. I have never done ballet. Probably never will and I doubt either of my 2 daughters will (dad doesn’t want to) but I love the videos. They are educational and entertaining
I'm 47 and still paying off student loans! Granted, I did more school after college, but it often seems like Student Loans will always be a part of my life!
A few years ago in the UK my lecturers friend found a loophole. He told us this last year. It said if you didn’t earn under 25k a year for the first like 5 years I think it was, your student loans disappeared. Not sure how accurate this is I can’t remember the exact statistics. His pal got a canny job, but asked for his salary to stay under the 25k. He needed to be paid way more than that but his employer agreed. Once the statue of limitations ended, he asked to be paid the original amount and didn’t end up paying anything into student loans. Mind you this was what 20-25 years ago?
You and your daughter are so sweet. Both of you have such a beautiful stance on toe ( for lack of a better term); beautiful posture of feet, ankles to legs. Wishing her lots of fun and joy in college!
WILL YOU DO A VIDEO ON TOE PADS? I’ve tried every toe pad known to man- including PerfectFit. I had such high hopes for Perfect fit because I thought- “Oooh! It molds to my toes and will feel like a 360 degree cushion!” I was so disappointed to find that the Perfectfit material felt hard and scratchy instead of spongy. I do love my pads that are at least 1/4 inches thick consisting of spongy, rubbery synthetic material. They protect me from pokes and from pressure. They keep my toes and bunions extra cushy (but still hurtsl after a while. I wonder if any toe pads really keep the feet from hurting, or it they all just HURT no matter what? Ouch Piuches feel like I’m wearing absolutely zero to cushion my feet and the tips of my toes. What I’m really looking for is a pillowy, squishy soft surrounding for my ties and wings. Why aren’t these being manufactured? I’m interested in what others think. What do you see in your stores? Thank!
you would think that being an alum of another UC means you kind of adopt other UCs' rivals and dislike both stanford and USC. but my college band was friends with stanford's band and stanford also seems to have a rivalry with USC so that's a very roundabout way to end up on the side of UCLA lol
Help! My pointe shoes decided to die after my audition today, and I have another audition on Saturday. I have high arches and flexible feet, it’s been 4 years and I still can’t find a really good pointe shoe for me that lasts properly! I hadn’t even used the pointe shoes that died today in class yet, I had just broken them in a bit at home. Since shoes are so expensive I’m reluctant to buy a new pair and also I don’t have much time, but I might have to!! Any advice?
@@BGing_Foodie that would be great, however not enough time to post the shoes and stuff since I’m overseas! However it’s ok because I was able to go and get a new pair of shoes that work well enough - I might book a virtual fitting later on. Thanks for your advice!
"you are gonna be poor for a very long time" is my favorite line cause she speaks the truth
Then ur gonna be poor for a long time after graduation paying back them loans on an entry level job 🤷🏻♀️

What a fabulous idea! Josephine is such a great host!
I said this years ago!!! I luv the fittings. They relax me so much.

They are only 15 years apart, more like sisters I think

Cuuuuttteee ❤️ so excited for her!

I’m very surprised that you mentioned the name of the shoes when you normally don’t.
Josephine did u go to usc? 😲
Josephine❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😄
The fact that USC and UCLA are like... rivals 😭😂
for a moment i thought it said "pointe shoe fighting" lmao 💀
why only 360p ?
it says its been processing the HD version since monday 😭

360p?
The 1 dislike is from a USC dancer
God loves ya
it's a pity the college can't pay for their shoes, or at least some of them
Early ish :)
Omg 😆 the like dislike ratio
You need to carry flesh tone pointe shoes …
Yes!👏🏽
So ballerinas go through shoes weekly, but this shoe can last months? Great!
I don’t think Josephine understands what “hunky-dory” means. Its the opposite. it means everything is messed up
Ewww barf
