Thanks for all the love guys 🥺 Watch Sofia dance in the the 2021 YAGP Finals here: ruclips.net/video/J95xJ8-xHnU/видео.html You know Coach Pavel is in the sidelines watching & supporting his gal 😍
To see this man just say “it would not be good for her spine, stop right now” that alone made me cry, he’s not thinking about the sport, he’s thinking of his daughter, when se decided ballet he went and auditioned with her. I can’t omg
Seriously. I was very lucky, my dad was always there for whatever we were doing in our lives (and still is). He didn't always understand but he was always there.
I love how he realized he needed to protect his daughter’s health and gave up on his dream of having a professional gymnast daughter. No more tumbling. He’s willing to learn ballet to help his little girl.
When I first started ballet, my dad was first VERY against it. He wanted me to continue school and go to a prestigious uni. He only continued to take me because it made me happy. Now hes my biggest suporter
Oh my gosh, I have chills and goosebumps!!! We love a supportive father that doesn’t show toxic masculinity, but instead is like “my daughter wants me to dance with her? Well, I better train hard so I can make sure I show off her talents” 🥰😍💜
Toxic Masculinity doesn't exist and you all need to get over it... to prove this point, we all know that when women demonstrate classically masculine traits to an excessive degree nobody will ever try and claim that it's toxic.
I always wondered why my shoes never fit like anybody else, but I realized me and this girl literally have the same feet. thank you so much for making this video. it helps me so much in knowing what shoes should fit like.
I have the same feet and ended up in the same shoe! Yay because I tried on about 30 shoes and I was despairing that I would be horrible in pointe. I got a longer vamp and a more narrow width and it felt amazing! Now I need to get my Dad on board ..
@@ryrify my feet compress and I have child sized feet despite being an adult so I was always in the wrong shoe and always fitted too big, I find Russian made shoes are really catered for people with feet like us.
Same here. Adult in a size 2. My problem is I have these same feet but with very short toes, so the higher vamp feels like it’s cutting into my foot. Nikolay/Grishko Maya work, especially if I add vamp elastic.
I lost my dear Dad in 2011, and I still cry about him if I hear the right song, watch the right TV program, etc., Love you so very much, Daddy, we'll be back together with Maman someday!! In the mean time, give my very best love to Maman and the rest of our relatives, laughing at my many foibles here on Earth!!
What an amazing father!! 💖 💖 HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL THE DADS WHO SUPPORT THEIR KIDS IN WHATEVER THEIR DREAMS ARE!!! 💖 💖 Best Regards and Stay Safe Everyone!! From Ontario, Canada, Jenn. 💖 💖 🇨🇦
Thanks Josephine!! I love watching all your videos. Especially the fittings of young ballerinas getting fitted for their very first pair of Pointe Shoes. You can see the excitement on their faces of having "graduated" to the Pointe Shoe. My father supported me in my horse riding endeavors and the one brother after me in his hockey endeavors. Being in the Military, he couldn't always be there to support us with his presence, but we knew he tried his hardest for us to realize our dreams. He served for 22 years with the Canadian Armed Forces, and is now retired. He is 81 years young, my mother is 79 years young. I am a recently Retired Paramedic, who now lives with them, only as a precautionary measure and everything is fine, but all my certification is current until 2025. They will be celebrating their 58th Wedding Anniversary in February of 2022. Many Blessings to you and your mother. I wish you much Joy, Health and Love. From Ontario, Canada, Jenn. 💖💖🇨🇦
My dad also went to every pointe shoe fitting and I had octopus feet so we would sit for hours. New shoe every time until finally found the shoe. Took 7 appointments and he would drive 30 minutes out of time. My dad was the only person I could tell “i dont feel good I’m on my cycle” and he’d go to the store and get EVERYTHING I needed like overboard. He’s sit through all of my ballet classes and gossip with the moms and did the same when I was a swimmer. He remind me of this young ladie’s dad. My husband is the same way with me, and with our daughter to the point that if I wanna try a new shoe, he can tell what parts are making up uncomfortable or don’t fit right
I am such a daddy's girl, so this is incredibly magical. I hope they're able to separate coach/student from father/daughter, though! She'll have SO MANY memories of dancing with her father, and there's nothing better than that!
I just want to point out how important it is to stay in shape after retiring . I gained a lot of weight and have massive ped issues. Now several surgeries on metatarsal heads and tendon entry points.. the excess weight really hurt my already hard working feet later on in life. My arches were extreme. Don't walk barefoot!! Lovely video!! She is adorable and so talented already! Go Sofia!!
I did ballet for about 7-8 years (still not on point as I started really really young) but I recently quit during lockdown. I got a lot of anxiety over it as I was so unsure and indecisive, but even though I quit I still walk around the house on my tiptoes. I wanted to focus on my true passion of music and after finding out that I was going to have to be able to do the splits I decided it wasn’t for me. I still think ballet is a beautiful thing to take up, but it wasn’t something I wanted to take seriously. But I just want everyone to know that you don’t need to be afraid to quit like I was. Do what makes you happy, and just because you don’t do it anymore, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy watching/listening/having a good go at it just for fun. Stay safe, and god bless you all.
What a beautiful relationship. I’m happy for her. May she always have a healthy relationship with her father and mother. Thank you for highlighting them.
It was so good to hear you describe how hard it is to find the right shoes and to be stable with hyper flexible ankles and arch and toes, you are the first person to pointe this out. I have a similar issue and it’s a challenge at times to find the right supporting shoes. ❤
Hopefully, this dad/coach is the new face of gymnastics coaching!💗 His humor & happiness & involvement remind me a lot of the humanitarian/activist Chef Jose Andres. Adore the fact that when he observed her growth spurt, he put her well-being 1st!! Awesome parenting!! 🌷🌞💗
It's so nice to see a father being so supportive. My father and I have not had contact since I was 13 years old. Once he found out my romantic preference toward other men he told me he wouldn't have 'one of my kind' (he used the f word) under his roof. 14 years later and we still don't speak.
Omg! This is beautiful, it's the kind of relationship I imagined I would have with my father when I grow older but instead of that he just get mad. What a lucky girl!
Every little girl deserves a dad like this... a dad who will say, OKAY, lets do this! I'm sure if she said... I want to be a painter or I want to study robotics... who would have dove head first into that too.
Relatable!!!! I grew up in dance where ballet became my ultimate favorite style. And, I was the one at the studio with the "good" feet. I have since made a wreath out of my old Pointe shoes except for my first pair and most recent pair. I also do artistic roller dance skating. After high school, since I was no longer enrolled in dance, I started focusing on my skating technique even more. Now, that I'm eligible to skate the adult events, I skate with my dad, and not only for open events. Nationals is next month in Cedar Rapids, IA. Anyway, I could talk all day about skating.
Proverb: Want a good wife, find a good daughter. We have a good father who is kind and supporting of his good daughter. Best wishes to both of them. Also, great interview, too.
Amen. I’ve got these type of feet that are compressible and have disappearing heels too. Everyone loves them and wants them. They don’t realise they are very very hard to fit not many shoes to fit either.
Ohmygosh! At 1:17 you've undone the mystery of my long standing temporary foot pain! High arch person here who never wore arch supports because they don't even touch my sole. Well, except for that time when I was doing long distance running from aged 14-20, (I wore them then.) I will try some now!! I mean, I do have pain in the area just pointed out! Thank you!
I wonder if the split sole Bloch EuroStretch will suit her like the other video you did with Sasha Mukhamedov? Or I guess she needs more shank support, hence the choice of Russian pointe shoes? I'm very curious to learn!
I had ultra high arches. But as an adult long shifts of work on my feet in cheap shoes caused fallen arches and massive knee and back pain issues. Now I’m trying to fix things again.
I have quite bendy feet and I really struggle with the back of ankle hurting in pointe shoes. Any tips? I’m currently in Bloch balance European shoes x
Random question! But where did you buy all your shoe holders from?? i've been lookig for ones similar to these clear ones but can't find them anywhere! Love your work!
I am getting fit for my first pair of pointe shoes this month and I’m scared I will have the same problems as I have quite flexible feet and already have a disappearing heel in flat shoes.
I have that problem with my point shoes, like they are always to small for my feet but when I'm up on point there is a lot of fabric loose and also I roll my feet and twist them quite a lot, don't know if that's related. But I don't know what to do, like what point shoes do I try (right now I have Russian points and I don't like them, I'm thinking of trying gaynor mindens) but other than that what am I supposed to do? I'm lost.
You just pointed out on ,the side of the ball of her feet , the injury I also had and no fysio knew what it was. Do you know the name of it? Thank you! Xx
I have quite flexible feet, and I have been on pointe since March. I have trouble rolling up onto pointe. The shoe hits a bit above my toes and makes it hard to move from elevé to relevé. I don’t have super weak feet, but I’m trying to get stronger. I am currently in Suffolk Sonnet size 5 XXXN with a full shank. I’m not sure if the difficulty to roll up onto the box is from the weakness of my feet or an incorrect shoe.
Thanks for all the love guys 🥺

Literally made me cry. What every girl wants from her dad… to be loved, cared for, protected and supported…
Seriously.
I was very lucky, my dad was always there for whatever we were doing in our lives (and still is). He didn't always understand but he was always there.
My mom is this to a T, I would never trade her for the world

Awwww I love that so much! Always savor these moments!!
everyone deserves a dad like this. they are two peas in a pod. so heartwarming.
OMG I can't handle these feels. Their relationship is so beautiful
My dad left when I was 2 it feels good to know that there are dads like him in the world who care for others.
This is just too adorable and precious!
I am such a daddy's girl, so this is incredibly magical. I hope they're able to separate coach/student from father/daughter, though! She'll have SO MANY memories of dancing with her father, and there's nothing better than that!
They seem very capable of keeping work/personal life boundaries. From what I can tell they have a wonderful relationship, they are totally adorable.

"Do it with desire!" I like that. Very good motto! It's nice to see fathers who are warm and supportive of heir child's dream.
i'm weeping. sometimes, it really helps to be reminded with everything that's right with the world. xoxoxoxoxo
Your written thoughts gave my Soul a glow. Thank you.

Loving art & dance ♥
I'm 😭 bawling... I never met my husband's father (all born in BG) but he was so involved and it's so sweet!
What a beautiful relationship. I’m happy for her. May she always have a healthy relationship with her father and mother. Thank you for highlighting them.
This is the type of father that every girl wants, someone who loves and supports them through everything❤️What an awesome pair!
I know Sophia! She is sooo sweet and always is so polite when I see her
What a great daddy daughter pair! Lucky girl.
It was so good to hear you describe how hard it is to find the right shoes and to be stable with hyper flexible ankles and arch and toes, you are the first person to pointe this out. I have a similar issue and it’s a challenge at times to find the right supporting shoes. ❤
I love that she is so well spoken for her age. Very intelligent girl.
Omg they (the father and daughter) are so precious 😩❤️

Big Jose Andres vibes😊
He sounds like a great dad
They have such a cute relationship. You can see how much they love each other. I’m a daddy’s girl, so I loved seeing this

So sorry, you deserve a loving and accepting father ❤🩹
I'm not sure why I'm here. I don't even do ballet (or dance at all). But I enjoy watching your videos about pointe shoes. On my 10th video now. 🤣
Same!😂🤣
Same 😂
That’s so lovely, what a sweet relationship they have. ❤️
“With desire” is my new motto
So adorable! Could you do a video on telling when pointe shoes are dead?
Omg her and her dad are adorable
Omg! This is beautiful, it's the kind of relationship I imagined I would have with my father when I grow older but instead of that he just get mad. What a lucky girl!
Oh wow her feet and ankles are so beautiful. Her dad is magnificent....can he adopt me please?
They're so sweet. My father was 98% absent and people like this warm my heart. 🥰
This is adorable. What a wonderful father. 💗
I love how involved a father he is. Beautiful❤️

I really loved this fitting 😭
Such a golden moment to be Bulgarian 😌

Why do I cry watching these videos....
Worlds Best Daddy ❤️
This can't have a dislike. Such a cute video.
Wow! Such an amazing relationship! I love that you go into peoples stories while talking about the technical stuff.
Beautiful. That girl is blessed.
I so enjoy every video you post. I find them so therapeutic. If you had a show I would probably watch it 😂😍 please keep making more content 😻💜

Omg! I thought at the beginning when the foot was enlarged, I thought her foot was literally that big! Lol 😂
This is legitimately SO cool
This is soooooooo sweet!

Melissa is fits me for my pointe shoes :)
The area where Sofia was getting fitted is where I get fitted :)
Amen. I’ve got these type of feet that are compressible and have disappearing heels too. Everyone loves them and wants them. They don’t realise they are very very hard to fit not many shoes to fit either.

Could you make a video on chronic ingrown toenails with pointe shoes?
I had ultra high arches. But as an adult long shifts of work on my feet in cheap shoes caused fallen arches and massive knee and back pain issues. Now I’m trying to fix things again.
2 I love ❤️ ballet
You should react to Natalia Osipova's Pointe shoes 🥺
Me favorite of your videos!
I have quite bendy feet and I really struggle with the back of ankle hurting in pointe shoes. Any tips? I’m currently in Bloch balance European shoes x
I'm not crying! You're crying!
HE HAS THAT LOOK IN HIS ONLY TOP ATHLETES HAVE. NOTHING IN THIS WORLD WILL STOP HIM.
Random question! But where did you buy all your shoe holders from?? i've been lookig for ones similar to these clear ones but can't find them anywhere! Love your work!
Csn u make a vid about the best mark for pointshoes
Does DanseMedica sell ballet slippers for adults? Getting back into it and need a new pair!
This the connection I wish I had wit my dad 😭

I listen to my wife a lot. Yep. A man who knows what is what.
I have these same difficult feet. Way flexible and super high arches but soooo easy to roll.
You just pointed out on ,the side of the ball of her feet , the injury I also had and no fysio knew what it was. Do you know the name of it?
