I spent my career in semiconductor industry. Unless significant changes took place there is no real manufacturing of semiconductors in US. A few wafer fans but assembly is in Asia. NVIDIA does no manufacturing nor run a fab, they are an R&D and sales company. Great product but not a manufacturer. We opened a place in Puerto Rico and to get a tax benefit we had to half over half our manufacturing there. They couldn't pull it off so it didn't work out and we went to Philippines instead. If a company is getting a cash handout it should be to support US manufacturing. EU requires manufacturing to get tax breaks, why should the American people not be the recipient? Knowing what I know the vultures in upper management will get a good payout from the funds and rest will go to Asia. I know how they think in tech... Better to treat them like a baby raccoon. Leave them be and hopefully they are able to survive, if not maybe that was due to their own issues
