This was the first time I've had the opportunity to have access to a presentation by The Cipher Brief with Mr. Burns.
Mr. Burns deeply and pervasively impressed me with his intelligence, hard earned wisdom, and humanity.
It seems the CIA could truly benefit from more people with a similar background in diplomacy.

What a flow of words, continuously used describing different levels of engagement by the Agency and so smoothly he change gears from one conflict to the other without causing any ambiguity in the listeners. The idea generation he says is very important in dealing with different scenarios in global conflicts to resolve and to bring them under control. Further he emphasized the time he and the Agency spent on nuclear dialog with Iranian authorities, which appears to have given a lot of results as of today, though the open dialog was discontinued by the previous US Presidents office and it is evident that secretive paths would have been used to monitor and engage in exchange of information through the Agents. A quite a continuous flow of information maintained by the Agency despite the policies of the government in power, is exemplary.
The matters pertaining to idea war, is applicable today as never before a the new administration of Iran elected by the people are mostly involved with the economy and the top higharched of the religious leadership is making decisions on war. The Israeli PM's addressing of Iranian people is important and here the Agency could have supported this new idea generation from and within the Iranian people to win them over the prospects of peace in Iran and in the region. The military might of any country could be swiftly defeated and neutralized by dissipating a novel idea which pleases the people will be an advantage over the religious rulers of the day. If a power transfer is to be from the religious authority on to the parliamentary representatives of Iran, it could only be done through the wish of the people , supported by the history and long rooted value system of Iran which shines well above most of the other regional Arab countries. A leverage on uplifting slowly and steadily , these inherent values of Iranian society will one day be possible to equate and even slightly above the religious faith which had been focused for the few decades after the Islamic Revolution of Iran. If the inner value system just come out of the existing level, it will be a platform for Iranian politicians and the supporters outside Iran to build an image on the success of the present day strategy of the governance of Iran against the historical experiences of the Iranian folks. Anyway, the Iranian assault on Israel was carried out seemingly with a lot of restraint as the Media reports and as the target selection appears to be, is a good sign as a matured government. Is this solely due to the governance or has it had any element of US and it's allies influence for avoiding a regional war, is a doubt.
However, the Agency head's opinion on humanity, human loss involved and maintaining peace in the Middle East region is exemplary and the concept of idea dissipation strategy to win over the people of Iran is beyond any doubt will be successful endeavor. This will probably eliminate the association with violent fragments and extreme religious groups and purify the Iranian mindset, given the political freedom is upheld while the religious control also prevails at identifiable levels. A complete removal of influence of religious institutions will not be possible in the near future and any effort in that direction will be a loss of resources and time, as Iran is trying to secure its power share in the Middle East.
The Ukrainian scenario as explained by the Chief of the Agency clearly shows a favored position on Zelensky and the Ukrainian government and a praise of the achievement by them enabling the maintenance of resistance to Russian invasion over Ukraine territory. Further the Russian President's viewpoint on keeping Ukraine not going to NATO is well understood and studied by the Agency with a priority is also seen. He has

One wonders if the current tactical onslaught by Israel was the strategic intention of Hamas, an attack seemingly designed to provoke a (somewhat predictable) over-reaction by Israel, Hamas martyring the Palestinian population for their own goals. Since the attack, and resultant response, the Palestinian cause is in the spotlight again after years in the wilderness, and Israel (under Netenyahu) risks being branded as a renegade state if it continues its current trajectory, which would make continued support more difficult to justify, even for traditional allies. I know it is pie in the sky to suggest, but it makes sense strategically that Israel should rather focus on a limitted and very targetted response, and humanitarian/ hearts and minds type assistance of the Palestinian people.
