The bill is designed to implement stagflation. Inflation is bad but you can have a hot economy to compensate so people still make more money but just have to spend more for the same things. It's losing a little. Recessions are bad but usually you can find deals on things because companies and others that are out of jobs are willing to work for less. The IRS has had their budget cut for several years, so they do need an increase to have more people to process returns and get taxpayers paid their refunds and such mire quickly. However, the increase is much more than they ne3d to do that. The audits shouldn't be the factor for the increase. About 10% of that increase would be enough for what is really needed.
We don't need the IRS in its entirety. A flat tax would cut out the fat and be fair for everyone. There could be a minimum earning of no taxes below a certain amount that protect the low salaried.

Stagflation is combining the worst of both times 10. It's rising unemployment, lower wages, businesses going under COMBINED with higher prices on everything. That's what this does! The IRS has had their budget cut for several years, so they do need an increase to have more people to process returns and get taxpayers paid their refunds and such mire quickly. However, the increase is much more than they ne3d to do that. The audits shouldn't be the factor for the increase. About 10% of that increase would be enough for what is really needed.

No, millionaires aren't intimated by the IRS and can easily afford professionals to represent them. Small businesses and middle class individuals often fear it will cost too much to be represented by an attorney or CPA and the IRS uses that as leverage against them.
