His shot is so smooth and effortless. It looks like he's in the middle of stick handling and then PEWPEWPEW he fires off a laser. I heard he also has a mean streak and plays with an edge. Looking forward to watching him play in SJ. Seems like maybe one more year dominating the OHL and then we might see him in the NHL.
I actually really like Quentin Musty… personally I think he’s a top 15 talent and I believe he will be one of those big time sleeper prospects that come out of nowhere… he’s probably gonna be a late round pick maybe even to the second round but in time he’s gonna show that he should have went in the top 15… he’s like Josh Anderson but with way more upside… his floor is a Josh Anderson but his ceiling in my opinion is a Brady Tkachuk maybe not as good but pretty close to Brady… this draft is so deep.. Montreal passed on Brady Tkachuk I hope we draft Musty if we use our Florida pick but if he falls to Montreals second round pick we should draft him… I could see him fitting perfectly on the second line in the future with Smith if we are able to get him at 5 or even Ryan Leonard, him and musty would be unstoppable together if they both hit there ceiling potential and if Musty can work on his skating a bit more which can always improve!… (first comment 😂)
Agreed! Musty made some big improvements as the season wore under (maybe new coach helped) and can see some glimpses of great hockey IQ. Like you said a Leonard-Musty combo would be deadly! And the skating will come...he has decent mechanics, just needs to grow into his body and get a little stronger. Big kids tend to take some time to balance things out. This draft is crazy good! Can't wait to see how the picks turn out!

You never know where any of the NHL teams has a player ranked in the draft. Musty could be anywhere on Yzermans board. It wouldn't surprise me if Yzerman picked him at 9. A great coaching staff like the Red Wings have, could easily.. turn Musty into a Superstar.

Probably Barlow...hardest thing to do in hockey is score goals. And Barlow can bury a puck. However, I do like the progression of Musty's game and he could be a steal in this draft.
I see more than enough talent for this young man to be a top 20 talent. He'd be a very nice pick for a team with multiple early picks (Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, Arizona, etc.) or teams like Colorado/Vegas/Carolina with strong cultures and won't let him take it easy out there at times. I'd include Florida in the latter teams, but he obviously won't last to the end of Round 2.
If and when Oliver Moore and Ryan Leonard are taken off the board in the top 18 I can see the Blackhawks picking him up at 19. They need some big bodied forwards in their prospect pool.
Nucks fan here. Definitely seem to favour playmaking ability and great hands more so these days than a guy who has the most goals in the dub or something. Because the goals don’t always translate to the show. Of course with any prospect you never know - but if this guy hits with the right team - I wouldn’t be shocked if he turns out being a Tage Thompson copycat in a few years. Maybe not to the same production TT has gone to - but see some similarities for sure.

True, but we do need offensive power right now. We have a 200ft player in Zadina that is about to get moved or demoted due to not moving the needle much in either direction offense or defense. We have our core with 200ft players he may try to get more offensive dynamic players now. Compete level is the biggest indicator I see on his drafts. If we pick this guy, I'd see it being with one of the three 2nd round picks

He had the opportunity to join the USA NTDP and chose the OHL for the tougher competition. And yeah, seems like he should be part of the roster for the next WJC.

He's a local boy Sabre's would do well to snag him. Even though we need more defensemen. This draft is deep. So lots of great choices.
