  • Musty's strong edge work and heavy shots can be seen. The one timers were all nasty. He also seems physically ready for the professional stage. I was amazed at how he was able to tip pucks so quickly after coach Mike Ricci's advice. High athleticism mixed with high potential confirmed. Super hard-working guy that naturally makes you want to root for!!

Skating and the first 3 strides are there, creative on the 3 on 2s, he was constantly trying to drive to the inside. Lots of speed on those cross overs. Good stuff. He needs to work on his shot though. His placement is very juniors some of those placements will not work at all on higher competition. It's not Noah Gregor right into the crest stuff. He showed he can place the puck. It's just that he needs experience against better goalies. (1.5-2 feet off the post along the top bar will hit NHL sized goalies square in the shoulder). The shot speed is average, but the scariest thing of all is he pulls all the pucks to the same release point. If he wants to be an elite goal scorer in the show that's gotta change. He's got the makings of a great power forward. It's a shame he has to go back to juniors, he'd benefit a ton from being in the AHL.

I don't know what Mike Ricci does but every year at development camp he just gets players to improve.

Seems like the best coaches are often guys that didn’t have AAA+ skill, cause they had to fight and claw (and think/learn) to get any advantage they could.

Any word on if he’s coming? Cuz from my understanding it’s back to the OHL where he dominated or nhl because he isn’t ahl eligible

Looks good. He just needs to improve on his tipping game.
