@@joncafe i can now say with confidence that Demidov is better than Michkov. As much as Michkov is highly talented and will be quite the threat in the offensive zone, Demidov has the whole package. Demidov doesnt take any shift off, he always wants to be 1st on the puck, backcheck, despite having a crazy playmaking ability he has a wicked shot, doesnt cheat, doesnt wait on the puck. AND Ivan will be 6'1" ish 200 pounds, Michkov is 5'10"
I also wanted Michkov so bad last year, but we can finally move on 😅

wow he is only getting better. A few observations, taking into account he is playing against men and an AK Bars Kazan that is pretty good, 9th position out of 23 teams last year. 1. He is strong physically and when challenged in the corners or behind the net, he was more often than not able to keep the puck and come out of physical challenged with it 2. He is very active on forecheck and defensively, using his stick and his skating to contribute when the other teams has the puck. 3. He is incredibly elusive, a combination of the way he skates in all direction with so much ease and seamlessly, and the sweet hands he possesses, the best hands on the ice not even close, hands I have not seen since Kovalev in Montreal. He can keep the puck in places where he should not be able to, ex: one time alone against 3 players as he entered their zone with little speed, he ended up shifting around them and taking a decent shot. Not supposed to be able to make that play but he did. 4. He has the ability to position himself for shots on goals, he gets open so easily, and as a result he took many shots from good spots. In this game, most of his shots were deflected but in average, with the chances he had, he would have normally score 1 or 2 goals. Conclusion: yeahhhhh man. He is the real deal. I will just add that his love for the game is so obvious, that smile and that joy as he plays.

I’ve been saying adding Demidov to your team you guys will be the next dynasty. Demidov has elite play making skill has shown he can get around anyone. With your young team and how talented they are they will all hit their prime together and will be unstoppable.

First of all, a huge Thank You for bringing us these videos for Ivan Demidov. I have watched all of them and he’s a joy to watch. What a special player he is. Question: Anyone know the status of the guy 18-Romanov that plays with him on his line ? He looks like a real good young player IMO. He protects the puck well, he has good speed and a nice physique…
Like, commented and subscribed. Keep up the good work 😀👍

Ah way more interesting this game, this better defense frustrated him a lot more than Kunlun & Sochi in the first period, guys were on him much quicker. it's truly amazing it only took him a period and a half to adapt to it.
He's still a bit physically shy overall and they clearly all refrain from comitting too much before season starts but it was very good to finally see him use his body more, get into a few forechecks, some very well executed and succesful on top of it. I'd still like to see him attack his opponents more when he does not have the puck, sometimes he just follow them only closing a narrow angle instead of trying to force a retrieval, but I'm sure that's something he can add to his game after a couple months of transition from MHL to KHL when true competition kicks in.

He's really dangerous around the other sides net, but closer to his, he fumbles the puck just a bit too much, but i presume the coaches know that.
