  • Quentin Musty is one of the biggest boom-or-bust players in this year's draft. Brock Otten of McKeen's Hockey joins to profile the Sudbury Wolves winger and why his ceiling is a first-line winger but some red flags in his game that may seem him never play in the NHL. We examine what will make him an NHL player and if a team like the San Jose Sharks should take a swing on him compared to a "safer" player with pick 26. Finally, we chat about some of Brock's favorite players at the back end of the first and who he would target if he was Mike Grier.

Did I have concerns when we drafted him? 100%. That's passed now, all we can do is trust in the development and hope he pans out. Now that we aren't rushing draft picks like on years past, it looks promising.

I would draft him just for his name lol

Yep, I think he's one of the top 3-4 names in the draft. Oliver Bonk, Daniil But, and Will Smith are my other 3 top names.

I wonder if MG sticks with Smith at 4 if Carlsson is still available...

I think the preference would be Carlsson over Smith, but that's a hunch.

No. Mostly because if Fantilli isn't available Columbus was taking Smith.

I don't understand how you have the chance of a lifetime - to become an NHL player - and your compete level isn't a trillion percent. It can be fixed with maturity or the right mentoring, but some people just never fix that. I'd be weary of drafting talent that lacks insanely hard work.
