  • David Wood and Ian Campbell were authors of a set of books on the holy grail and religions and seems as if one of these authors lives at this massive house and the story goes that one of the authors may have gone mad. Evidence of a Nuclear Bunker seems to suggest some high level paranoia going on. If anyone knows any more than this please let me know. The house is locked up tight so we didnt get in but the bunker was a peach.

David Woods died in mid-November, 2012. He was a trained surveyor, but whether he bothered to use his skill professionally I don't know. The only picture I have seen of him surveying shows him using a very old-skool theodolite, rather than a modern total station. He was obsessed with Henry Lincoln's pentacle of mountains and his Esperaza star around Rennes le Chateau. He was studying clues left by the Templars and the Rosicrucians.
In 1984 he felt he'd made some kind of revelatory breakthrough, which led to further discoveries and his book Genisis (sic) , which was published in 1986. The extremely expensive reprographic camera in the outhouse was probably used so he could enlarge the maps and diagrams used in his self-published books.
In case you were wondering, David used his knowledge of sacred geometry to conclude that Atlantis was located at 42°55´N 26°06´W, just north of the Azores.

This is next level stuff, literally for the man that has everything. Like you say somewhere like this just abandoned and the size of it shows the disparity of how a select few live. Amazing... what i would give for just a little of all that space.
When you were winding the air intake handle you pointed out the filter on the floor still sealed. If you look at the flexi duct coming downwards it has a joint which comes apart and can then be joined either side of the filter cannister when needed.
You should have closed up that big weighted entrance flap after to preserve the bunker as long as possible.
    Shame the house wasn't possible.

Awesome video, I’m glad you got in here, always better with The Secret Vault. I did watch this a few weeks ago, the bearded explorer posted it, they couldn’t get in the house either as all locked up but they were saying it’s been sold and was going to be emptied soon, demolished, and the bunker filled in so they could build houses on it! There was a heavy door to get into that place when they went in, the log was there but there was a door which they struggled with just to get that building.

David Woods was a 'British Army-trained tertiary trig surveyor' whatever that is or was. His abilities did not extend to GPS surveying and he failed to give co-ordinates for any of his wonderfully-derived Rennes le Chateau features in his books Genisis, Geniset or magazine articles. He worked largely from French IGN maps. Embarrassing for him no doubt to find that Serres church, one of his proof locations, had actually been plotted too far south on the IGN map and wasn't proof of anything other than wishful thinking and finding facts to fit his theory. Too much time and money to waste, methinks. He should have gone to live in East Grinstead. More cults, religions and spiritual organisations there than anywhere else in England.

Holy crapola, that is mind blowing. Especially when the entrance was so rough n ready and not buried. Those books are on ebay but all from the States for like $20 published in 94. I wouldn't mind reading one! I thought I had a lot of Calcium Hypochlorite with 2kg lol! 1 heaped teaspoon (8g) + 8 litres water = Chlorine solution. To disinfect water to drink you then mix 1 part solution with 100 parts water. So 1kg powder makes 100,000 litres

I absolutely loved this. That bunker was amazing. The pool was amazing. Would have loved to see the inside of that huge mansion he called home. Also would like to read the books. I mean that would be cool. So enjoyed this one!

As soon as I watched bearded explorer's vlog I knew where this was. My assumption is the highways agencies bought it maybe 8-9 years ago when they were doing the A21 road expansion. They bought out a fair few houses along the by-pass from to widen the the road. They didn't go that far down in the end. so maybe they trying to recoup money by selling it off cause it wasn't needed.

Sold by owner a year ago

Nobody walked away it wasn’t abandoned the owner died he didn’t walk away from his home he died in his home with his wife and kids by his side. The house was then sold as the upkeep couldn’t be kept by his wife on her own. I’ve grown up in the family he would be gutted to know what people have done to his once so precious home.

Hi. I knew David too but lost contact around about 1995. May I ask, do you know if he was buried or cremated?

Very strange, almost dodgy by modern standards. Thinking this was made in the early 70s it would of been state of the art for civilians. He would of had to reinforce those container roof walls as they would of collapsed under the weight of soil.
