You should wear some basic filter mask and water boots at least during these expeditions. The air inside those buildings have not been renewed in years, mixed with damp walls, rusty metals, old forniture full of fungus and rotten water. Bacteria and others shits resting there can be even more dangerous than risky heights. Do not forget to get medical checks every month after expeditions. Be safe, Shiey.

@@AA-gl1dr first it's probably a basement to a building, it's not that deep underground. 2nd there's no sewage there for dangerious gases to acumulate, 3rd there's nowhere where radiation would come from, there's no radioactive materials.

It is not wise to flip a very old electrical switch while your feet sre submerged in water, nor is it wise to activate a motor without knowing whether it requires an opening of an exhaust vent or air intake for the exchange of air needed to vent any exhaust fumes
Electric motors don't have emissions really. At most, they make a bit of ozone, but nothing harmful.

Apparently, Klaipeda is a port city in Lithuania, so I guess we know where this was filmed.
It is. I don't speak Lithuanian but assuming I'm not seeing cognates where I shouldn't be, this is a civil defence bunker. What Russian there is seems to support that.

Yes it is bunker in Lithuania, Klaipeda city. These are urban, major factories at the time had bunkers similar to this underneath them. I am aware that ship building company VLG in klaipeda has one, also one of the heat plants near the city ceter has one, how many are there, who knows. It shows that Soviets were really ready for the nuclear exchange at the time.
On the door it said "Atidaryta" "Uždaryta" which means Open, Closed in Lithuanian

I could see a bunch of rescue plans near the communications equipment where they can call the other nearby bunkers or the land lines above.

Soviet spies were always at work trying to locate the Cold War air raid shelters. Sometimes, the Soviet spy system succeeded. Sometimes British counterespionage would find out about various successes of the Soviet spies. If the British knew that the Soviets has come to know about a location, that location no longer had good enough Cold War value because it could potentially have become targeted by the Soviets, so the compromised Cold War air raid shelter and the land that it sat on was typically given back for free to the original landowner of the land that had been purchased by the government for unspecified use.
The bathroom areas were typically poorly lighted, so frequently after return to civilian ownership, the new civilian owner would too often pay a some local construction company to knock a hole in the bathroom's exterior wall and put in a window so that the poorly lit bathroom would have enough light during the daytime for cosmetic usages such as shaving or applying makeup. Ideally, a larger percentage of the population would have had their own individual top-rate mechanically intact air raid shelter as a result of the cycle of Soviet espionage and British counterespionage. From the point of view of hindsight, unusually high quality foresight in bathroom lighting would have resulted in more civilian-owned air raid shelters being mechanically intact, rather than being mechanically compromised due to the civilian owners paying to have a hole knocked into the bathroom's exterior blast wall in order to have a bathroom window installed.
If you go poking around RUclips, you will probably find more details about what long ago became civilian-owned air raid shelters in Britain due to the old cycle of Soviet espionage and British counterespionage that occurred decades ago during the 20th Century. Also, the Cold War ended about 30 years ago, so some related British government Cold War documentation might have recently become public record under the 30-year rule.

If you ever find a box that says pnw or pnv thats a nightvision goggle set, you should be able to find use for those if you can find them.
At that point in time the only NV they had would irradiate your eyes with Xrays, giving you cataracts in short order. It is suggested that you restrict use to a maximum of 24hrs per year for that reason. Soviet tankers and heli pilots from that era probably all have some sort of serious eye damage as a result.

The large sign with the bar graph at 5:11 says, ominously, "Harmful substances were released into the atmosphere in Lithuania in 1989" The graph scale is in thousands ("tukst") of units, so 431 thousand of something, possibly units of radiation. were released. That was the year Russia made its final push to clean up the Chernobyl site, so possibly an accidental, unrecorded (in the West) release happened that satellite states set up monitoring for.

Any Green Soviet gas mask filter have 0% asbestos. They used Charcoal filters after the 1970's. The Tan filters are the asbestos filters, and it isn't 'lethal' smoking 1 cigarette would be more lethal than using a 5 minute filter.

God damn. These soviets were smart af. They were prepared. So prepared, in fact, that large numbers of people would have survived any attack that any nation would have thrown at them, for a little while at least. They were ready with hundreds of secret bunkers and secret equipment, so secret that I'm sure that there are still many undiscovered bunkers. While we were teaching our kids how to hide under a desk properly, they were already prepared.

Anything with any kind of count down initiated, would either be completely broken down, deliberately back when it was being abandoned, cleared off anything that could be activated by said countdown, or still used and heavily guarded.

This is a Lithuanian site, not Soviet. Lithuania broke off from the Soviet Union in 1990. The one large bulletin board is in Lithuanian, and is entitled "pagrindiniu civilines sauces veikshi", which means "key civil protection actions". The columns are "Name of Action", "Execution Time", "Responsible Actors", and "Execution Duration". with sub columns for "Starting Hour" and "Hours". So this looks like a civil defense bunker, possibly part of nuclear war preparations. It looks like primarily housing for government officials, with no actual command and control infrastructure, other than the simple manual plotting boards discovered.

I like it how once he first enters the door every video. He stops and recording and puts up 15 mins later or 20 minutes later. Lol. Mean while he digs through the whole places. Takes all the weapons and ammunition and goodies. Stash it. Then continues recording like he just began going thru the bunker. Lol
