Ring or Bar Dip?

- Both the Ring Dip and Bar Dip are great exercises for the horizontal push pattern, strengthening the chest and triceps.
So which variation should you choose?
Bar Dip:
➡️If the goal is hypertrophy or maximal strength, as stabilization limitation is removed
➡️For beginners who haven’t developed the stability needed for the rings
➡️As accessory for other pushing exercises like the bench press
Ring Dip:
➡️To develop control and stability through a functional range of motion
➡️To lower intensity by increasing challenge from unstable surface
➡️As strength support for other gymnastics rings exercises like the muscle-up
