Your tutorials are really great, I just switched to Resolve from Filmora and now I’m wondering why I didn’t do this sooner. The first time I clicked on the fusion tab i was like “nope” but over the past couple days your tutorials have been such a blessing 😂 I can’t wait to use this in a future video!
Same here! I was intimidated by Fusion, so I did things differently...or not at all. Now that I am learning a little about Fusion, it isn't as scary anymore.. BTW, I moved over from Magix Movie edit Pro software. Had been using that for over ten years. Loving DaVinci Resolve now!
I actually wanted to know how to do this! And then I realised that I already do, because I've watched your previous videos XD Didn't know about the Keyfram Stretcher though.
This is the first time I have done a fusion tutorial where I am like 5 steps in and everything looks identical to your video!! I am SOOOO excited right now!
Dang it. I got through every single step with only minor hiccups and then, at the very end back in the edit page, everything is black. I ended up having to delete my original clip and put it back in the timeline and now it's working. THANK YOU, CASEY!!!
Did not know about the key frame stretcher. Cool. I probably would've just animated it new every time, but you should be able to save and reuse this one.
Can you use the Keyframe Stretcher to stretch the animation over multiple clips, or will it only work on one clip? Thank you for all of your help and advice!
I know corona and stuff messes with the schedule of people but making videos at 5:33 AM... that is dedication ow and just or 2020, please no high 5`s :P
Can it easily be used on a longer video? I want to have a progress bar that runs from most of the video. Or do you actually have to figure out the exact keyframes? Like I would like to have it run for 15 minutes for example, as I complete a challenge. Thank you 🙂
thanks for the guide. Im trying to add chapter / marker sections to the progress bar, Chapter 1m Chapter 2, etc but I'm having trouble making this. Is there an easy way to get this done?
When I want to insert the Bar, Davinci wants me to grant access to the Folder but I got no clue where this effect gets saved so I cannot insert it :( Any help?
Please Help!! ok so my bar works fine when i keep the normal length but when i shorten it the part where it like starts the shorten if that makes sense just makes the screen go black
Good video but you needed to explain the stretch end number more. You said it needed to be the end of the animation which was 10 ms and then set it to 9ms?? You then also said it just had to be greater than 2?? This really confused me and I’m sure it confused a lot of others.
I have done the ProgBar just like in your video, now I want to import it to some of my videos. So I have crated a Bin with the ProgBar and saved it to my desktop. Now, when I open one of my video, I import the Bin. So far so good. But I open the Bin, grab the fusion ProgBar, and add it to my video. When I stretch to make it for the duration of the video, it won't extend for the duration of that video. How do I fix this?
I had one problem - but I solved it when I found out that I used the keyboard on the mac I was watching youtube on an the mouse on the imac (having said stuff like "this aint working, he's full of..etc) Ha ha - thx/ Soren
You, my friend, are awesome sauce! I truly appreciate your videos! I hope you get tons of subscribers and make lots of cash! a little word of warning though...don't spend all of your money on penny whistles and moon pies
Figured this out: In the KeyframeStretcher node, change the SOURCE END value to ONE FRAME AHEAD of the value (10 frames in this case, since we wanted the progress bar to fill at 9 frames). Let the stretch end and other stuff stay the same. Thank me later :)
So, for arguments sake, I wanted to use this on a starting soon screen for my stream instead of a traditional countdown, I would just amend the amount of frames to make it last the length of my starting soon? Two minutes for arguments sake

The fusion of Casey Faris and Davinci = "Awesome Sauce".
Thanks for another Super Video
This was the first fusion thing I did in resolve, so thanks for explaining and editing it to be so easy to follow and understand what's going on
Now I know how to do the "download the file before the dude catches us just in time scene"! Yeah man that's awesome
I actually wanted to know how to do this! And then I realised that I already do, because I've watched your previous videos XD Didn't know about the Keyfram Stretcher though.
I started not like your teaching style and now I love it. Happy I stuck around! Thanks!

Casey Faris...you are super informative and super awesome! Thank you for your content!!!!
I swear you have a video for every single thing I want to know about DaVinci. Thank you!
that key frame stretcher tho 0_0 Thats the key! I would've never thought of that, thanks Casey!!
Thanks man
Keyframe Stretcher is so useful! Thanks again for this great video :)
Yes! I just discovered it myself. Great time saver.
Another great fusion tutorial. Thanks Mate!
Did not know about the key frame stretcher. Cool. I probably would've just animated it new every time, but you should be able to save and reuse this one.
Love your Davinci tutorial , really helpful for beginner creators !
this is easy to follow and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you Casey, seriously.
Thank you so much for making such simple to follow tutorials! I've learnt so many things from you! Keep it up!
This is an awesome tutorial. My first Fusion thing and I'm using it for my gaming channel. Really appreciate it! 🙂
super simple explained! Really enjoyed watching and listening! Thanks a lot for sharing this.
Thank you very much
Thank you!
Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We just used your tutorial (which is by the way insanely entertaining) to create such a bar in our video.
Thank you for that, keep the good vibes!
Really nice video, super easy to follow along with. Thank you for making it!
Can you use the Keyframe Stretcher to stretch the animation over multiple clips, or will it only work on one clip? Thank you for all of your help and advice!
Thanks man! That was a short, informative and fun to watch video, that taught me exactly what I needed to know :)
Thanks it worked
the giggle after "OR IT WILL RUIN EVERYTHING" lol
Thank you so much for telling me. I've been trying to make funny clip videos on my youtube channel. Thank you so much!
This was a great tutorial and I was looking for the keyframe stretcher! Please do more videos with that but with text animations 😍🙏
4:25 Every time Casey says "what this is gonna do," someone should send him 5 bucks.
thank you for the tutorial, still working in 2023 :)
Just Great. THANKS! 🙃
Great!
I know corona and stuff messes with the schedule of people but making videos at 5:33 AM... that is dedication
ow and just or 2020, please no high 5`s :P
I’m a morning person.
First time I actually succeeded using the fusion tab 🤣 tysm for this tutorial
Can it easily be used on a longer video? I want to have a progress bar that runs from most of the video. Or do you actually have to figure out the exact keyframes? Like I would like to have it run for 15 minutes for example, as I complete a challenge. Thank you 🙂
hello, is it possible to make a health bar like in a video games?. Can you make a tutorial please. Thank you.
thanks for the guide. Im trying to add chapter / marker sections to the progress bar, Chapter 1m Chapter 2, etc but I'm having trouble making this. Is there an easy way to get this done?
I like high 5's
When I want to insert the Bar, Davinci wants me to grant access to the Folder but I got no clue where this effect gets saved so I cannot insert it :( Any help?
Everytime I click on your videos I think to myself, (instead of thinking to someone else) I know how to do this, but then I learn something new.
That is..... so cool 👍
Can I reuse it in other projects?
Once I’ve made it can I save the fusion comp so I don’t have to make it again next time I want a progress bar
3:56 I'm at this point, howcome I can't see both the outline and the filler simultaneously? I can only see whichever is selected.
nice......👌👌👌👌👍
Can this be easily used as a health bar?
What about a video about character animation in Fusion, especially with a comparable tool like Puppit in AE (?)
Please Help!! ok so my bar works fine when i keep the normal length but when i shorten it the part where it like starts the shorten if that makes sense just makes the screen go black
Cool ...

How do you make your fusion nodes snap into positions. When I try it I can just place them anywhere
right clic on fusion tab, arrange tools
I have done the ProgBar just like in your video, now I want to import it to some of my videos. So I have crated a Bin with the ProgBar and saved it to my desktop. I cant drop Background into it. Please help :D
How can I have several bars in the same video and it should fill with some breaks in between, any thoughts?
that voice over is soooo good how to do that
how do i save the fusion compison clip so i can just put it on in other clips or videos?
This is a really nice tutorial, thank you, really great job... Get some sauce, you completely deserved it... 😋
I had one problem - but I solved it when I found out that I used the keyboard on the mac I was watching youtube on an the mouse on the imac (having said stuff like "this aint working, he's full of..etc) Ha ha - thx/ Soren

Too late... That's all I spend my money on. 😳
Casey Faris i tried :-(
big fan plz give me a HEART
Actually the end is not filled perfectly and the animation stops just before it is about to fill in the progress bar
Figured this out:
In the KeyframeStretcher node, change the SOURCE END value to ONE FRAME AHEAD of the value (10 frames in this case, since we wanted the progress bar to fill at 9 frames). Let the stretch end and other stuff stay the same. Thank me later :)
@@dheerajsharma6212 This stumped me too, he needed to explain that a bit more especially when he said the end just needed to be more than 2??
hi
So, for arguments sake, I wanted to use this on a starting soon screen for my stream instead of a traditional countdown, I would just amend the amount of frames to make it last the length of my starting soon? Two minutes for arguments sake
Yep. I actually made one for that purpose the other day!
@@CaseyFaris Awesome Sauce! So for a two minute countdown, how many frames would you suggest? Sorry complete resolve newb
@@garethjones6851 That would be 3600 frames at 30 FPS.
(30 frames x 60 seconds=1800 frames per minute x 2 minutes=3600 Frames).
@@NJP76 Perfect, thank you
How have I only just learned about kfs? Literal open mouth over here.
But not Now don't high five (in 2020)
