I once sat next to a road manager of his on a plane and he couldn’t praise him more. It was genuine and beautiful and I was thankful for that conversation. There was nothing out of order said, FYI.
I grew up with Alice in the 70s and went to see him a couple of times. I was a big fan. I’m very happy Alice, that you have turned out to be so successful in your personal life. I have too, became a Christian in 1986 and married for 44 years.

a million years ago i worked at Ed Debevics restaurant in phx az. Alice, his wife and kids would come in for dinner. nicest people. humble, just regular family eating dinner. you would never even know he is a famous millionaire.
Hey, nice to find another person on here who remembers Ed Debevics! I used to love that place, and even went there for dinner before prom! :) Nice to know that Alice and his family used to eat there too.
It's called having a spirituall experience. Some of us find it in AA, others in church, others in nature .... it doesn't matter where it happens, just that it happens ... and the craving for alcohol and drugs is replaced by the desire for a life of devotion and service to others. It is always a beautiful thing to witness - or to experience.
I liked this story. I so enjoyed it! You are amazing Alice Cooper!!!! To God be the glory, honor, and praise!!! God Bless you and your wife... I Love to hear stories like yours. Our God is so amazing!!! There's nothing He can't do or handle!!!😂❤🎉
I read Groucho Marx was his neighbor, had insomnia, would call Alice in the middle of the night, and Alice showed up with a six pack (when he still partied). They'd drink and watch TV until Groucho fell asleep.
My parents were married for over 30 years and never argued. I lived at home till I was 19 or so and don't have a single memory of voices raised in anger. From anyone to anyone.
Same here. It’s wonderful isn’t it? My first marriage was a disaster. I left it because of the high standards my parents set for me. Thankfully, 😅 remarried and have the same marriage that my parents had. ❤❤❤❤

Jesus saved my life. I will never drink again. How ungrateful would that be for me to do? I cried out and he answered me by a total loss of wanting alcohol, no withdrawal. Just thankful for His love and mercy.
I've been married 53 years. My experience says what is essential to a lasting marriage is love, and love is 'sacrifice'. Love is not fuzzy feelings, gestures, or head games. It's 'sacrifice' .. putting the other persons needs and well being ahead of your own. And that person responds likewise towards you. Without love in this context there is no marriage; maybe co-existence, or tolerance, but not love.
Love Alice, for some reason my mum wouldn’t let me go to see David Essex, but she was fine with Alice Cooper. I went to see him in Sydney 1975. Beautiful story, beautiful man.
I still love seeing him perform! In the 70s, saw him too many times. Enjoyed every concert! And congrats on cleaning up and still being with the same woman!
Mutual respect for each other. You are lucky to be together for so long....we only had 36+a few months before he died of brain cancer. Just before our wedding we were at the beach and he sang "You are so beautiful to me".....

I asked Jesus to take away my smoking addiction one night in a prayer before I went to sleep, it took six months before I realised I had not had a cigarette since that night, I had basically woken up the next morning after the prayer and completely forgot I was a smoker, I had NO cravings, NO withdrawal symptoms whatsoever. One day I saw a guy leaning up against a light post smoking a cigarette awaiting the walk signal to change, for me to realise that I had not had one for six months. 12 years later I still have no desire whatsoever to smoke, and whenever I smell cig smoke it makes my head spin. Thank you Jesus.

Dennis Dunaway's book is really good with great insight to how Alice was back then. Its true that he wasn't a womanizer, he just always had a drink with him. Always. Until he blacked out in the 80s

Gave up alcohol last year at 67 and….it was EASY AS SHIT. I drank since a teen. Mostly great craft beers, 12yo Scotch, etc. The ONLY reason I did quit was that I had gut issues, my biome, food sensitivities out of the blue , NEW to me. So I gave up EVERYTHING that MIGHT disagree with gut health. It worked. Biggest “disappointment”- how easy it was. NO 12 steps, no counseling, no AA. Just cold turkey. And I drank almost every day…I just didn’t get shit faced all the time. IF I could drink alcohol WITHOUT the gut issues, I’d start again…but for me, feeling good (gastrointestinal) trumps any buzz via booze.
Smartest thing ever said. Both have to give 100%.
That's something I will remember, it's a great mindset.

And God gave Alice Cooper the wisdom to understand and obey it.
Getting marriage advice from Alice Cooper 😂 nice 👍 he's such an inspiration for sobriety too!
Alice is proof of amazing grace how sweet it is.
Absolutely. I wish others could see themselves making these choices. Very much an eye-opening interview.
Well said.
Alice did it ALL BY HIMSELF. There is no god or jesus. Grow the hell up and stop buying that nonsense

Same. You never allow yourself to be rude to the other person. You can disagree; you don't have to argue or fight. You treat each other with courtesy.
