I can really relate to this. At 67 I quit drinking 25 years ago and I was as bad an alcoholic as you can get. I was self employed so there was no one to give me an ultimatum. All the Docs told me the same thing as was told to Alice. That I would have to attend AA for ever. Well thats not the case. Its been 25 years and all I think about when I think of drinking is sickness. I believe treatment centers do a disservice by telling patients that it will be so so very hard.
I'm the same way. It's been 7 years and I'm fine around alcohol. When I see people drink it's poison and sickness. I just know I'm not going to touch it. People can't believe I haven't had a drink but it's not hard at all with out AA or continued treatment.
Legend! I saw him in O2 this Sunday. What a performer! All of them did an amazing job, great chemistry. Loved every minute of it!

Alice has always been one of my hero's. I stood on the parade ground in 72, the last day of high school, and instead of "God Save The Queen" which was our national anthem in Australia at the time and they played "Schools Out" and the principal (Headmaster) let it play through to the end. I also walked away from Alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs at an early age, cold turkey. But i don't call it "Will Power. I call it "Won't Power" because I won't ever touch any of it ever again.

Love Alice Cooper, used to have an A1 sized poster of him on my ceiling. Always wanted to get a chance to see him in concert , saw him on Wednesday, it was fantastic!! Great performance and good rapport with the audience. Such a legend and an inspiration!! Thank you for all you do. 🌟

I never got the feeling of anything demonic from him. It was more like he said...a carnival and he played a character. I'm really glad that he's a golf-playing Christian!
Because the message never was demonic. Even at the height of his alcohol abuse he was a good person and a christian. Most of his lyrics are about good vs evil and how if you're evil you will pay for it. Listen to a song he wrote called "My god" - it talks about his relationship with God.

I used to see your buddy, Johnny Depp play guitar in his band, “The Kids”back in Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida. 1980’s were fun…and the next thing I knew, he was on “21 Jump Street”!
They did a haunting instrumental version of Michael Jackson’s, “Billie Jean”.
@Alicecooper531 It was back in 1980-81 when I used to see him play at the night clubs on the Ft. Lauderdale “Strip” (A1A). I saw him a few times playing up on stage, but never met him or knew his name…until he got the part on t.v.’s, “21 Jump Street”.

There is so much information out on the web that may or may not be true, so I prefer interviews over any social media platforms that distort the truth to fit their narrative.

One of my favourite albums is from the inside and it really gives you an insight to some of the dark places his been and so amazing to turn it all around.
Have you heard "Dada"? Its much darker and more creepy than "From the inside". It was recorded at the peak of his alcohol/drug abuse (he sarted using cocaine while recording From the inside) just before he went to rehab for the last time. If you haven't yet, check it out. It's not as catchy as From the inside but it's a grower and it's awesome.

I cannot believe that the man that created and gave/gives life to 'Alice Cooper' is having to still explain himself, his stage persona, and that he is NOT Alice Cooper. I learned this back when his "Alice Cooper Goes To Hell" album was new. I encountered people that knew him, at least, somewhat, with only praise for his kindness. They all said that he is a nice guy, approachable, not Alice Cooper. This is why I already figured that Maralyn Manson was a character, somehow inspired by Alice Cooper, but not the same. "All the world is a stage, and we are but the performers."
