Alice Cooper's my all-time favorite artist and a bucketlist interview guest of mine, and I loved hearing these kinds of questions from another Alice Cooper expert, from the setlists to revisiting previous albums! Loved watching this, even more excited for the release of 'Road' and to see him live for the first time!
Alice coopers show is a theatrical masterpiece like its directed by Tarantino..wild..mad...but with great songs and excellent musicians. Seen him twice in Perth and he just blows you away with entertainment worth every cent ! His lead female guitarist is brilliant and sexy as hell (Nita Strauss) and she shreds it on stage with Alice. Killer, School's Out For Summer '72 Tour (almost the same) Billion Dollar Babies Tour (1973) Welcome To My Nightmare Tour (1975/76) King Of The Silver Screen Tour (1977/78) Madhouse Rock Tour (1979) I mean even today (exapt 2015 - 2018, where basiclly the same Show) His Tours are different, but his 70's Tours where like a Broadway Production... Nightmare, Well was a Nightmare Stage. King Of The Silver Screen was a giant TV Set (also His First best of Show) Madhouse, Well a Madhouse.. you know... Special Forces & Flush The Fashion, though great setlist, where both a junkyard.
I saw Alice open for Def Leppard and Motley Crue the day before this interview. He put those youngsters to shame. It cost us over a grand with airfare, but I honestly could have left after Alice Cooper.
I love Alice but I gotta disagree that you always have to fill the shows with hits. That's great for people who only see one or two tours but for people who see multiple it gets old. Plus people do love other songs. For instance Weird Al's tour last year was parody free and only his original songs and it was fantastic.
The secret is out on the secret album for 2024. ITs all the surviving members of the original A.C. group having completed an entire album of just them recording together for the 1st time since the 1974 release!!! Though the way the world is going downhill fast now, i will feel lucky just getting ROAD into my hands then ears. I doubt we will all be here or by 2024. If we are, albums will be the least of our concerns. More concerned in survival at that point.
Yah should have asked why Alice recently mysteriously stopped using his mouth slash make up that always went with the eyes make up. Now he replaced it with sloppy lipstick and it's not an improvement in these volatile Lgbtq(etc) controversial far leftist times we are in.
