Guys, the so apreciated potato is not due to comunism. The People's Republic of China was not founded until year 1949 and this scene is suposed to be from the Japanese invasion era, about year 1943. It happens that food was very limited and it was a period of starvation for the Chinese. In theis film, Chinese fighting masters were offered to fight against japanese for food (rice).
Hey, I'm from Hong Kong. This is a great video and really thanks for respecting the Chinese. This was a real fight when the war of Japan vs China was on-going in 1942. That guy was called Ip Man. He is the best Kung Fu fighter in the history. This fight was performed again by this movie and you can see how terrible were the Chinese life at that time. They were always bullied by the Japanese. I am pleased to see you guys respecting us and I really hope that there will be more Westerners can know more about Kung Fu. Thank you.
FYI, since u guys were discussing in the video. donnie yen is a martial artist, his style includes Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Hapkido, Jeet Kune Do, Wing Chun, Wrestling, Wushu, Tai Chi, Karate and Hung Ga according to Wikipedia. His official rank in various martial art are 6th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo (that's a high Dan black belt, he can officially open a dojo probably), Black Belt in Judo, Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He also won various Gold Medals in Wushu World Tournament Competitions. He learnt martial at a super young age as his mother was a grandmaster, then he learn Karate when he was nine, Wushu at fourteen, Taekwondo when he was sixteen. So on and so on, he's alr 53 so yeah, he is a real fighter.
IP MAN actually created the style you see in his movies. he was shunned for recreating or changing how it was done. wing chung is about structure. ipman said no its about adaptation. his pupile bruce lee was shunned for creating jin kudo which is Ip mans wing chung adapted even more.
It's a a defensive fughting style. Created by IP man but the style was inspired by woman dances. IP man solely wanted this fighting style to only be used in defense and not offense. That is why he never went looking for fights but will use it when in desperate need. Over time living his life he passed the style down to many young men, Bruce Lee being one of them. Truly an amazing true story.
Actually, Jackie Chan isn't a Kung Fu player. He used to be a juggler. Donnie Yen, Wu Jing and Jet Li are martial artists. They're the real deal. But it's just Wushu routine, called Tao Lu. It's quite different from combat skills. It's a good way to strengthen ligaments, joints, muscle, harmony and explosive force.
To clarify, it wasn't Communism, it was Japanese Imperialism. However, you are correct that (similar to the Nazis) Japan did subjugate parts of China as well as parts of Asia which means innocent people were either killed or forced to work as slaves in their hometowns.
The general was looking for skilled martial arts masters to fight their soldiers. Whoever would do that and succeed would get a bag of rice. It was meant to find the best person to train the soldiers that martial art.
If you guys don't know, Donnie Yen can fight several men in real life. I am not trolling or lying on this, it was a real incident that happen in the 90's and is still talked about to this day in Hong Kong. If don't believe me you can look it up on the net.
Fun fact Donnie yen the actor right there actually fought 8 people irl that was harassing his girlfriend he hospitalized all 8 there a police report on it
you guys notice that JC has never killed anyone in his movies. JC, made up for all the 30 yrs. of film making without killing anyone in one movie. the Myth. check it out. it was epic.
Ok the last part is the most sensational part of the movie you shouldn't have skipped it. It shows a lot more meaning behind his fighting if you knew about the poverty-stricken region he was living in
UNDISPUTED 3 - The Final Fight (HD) - Boyka vs Colombia [Full Fight], Michael Jai White, blood and bone fight scene or Tony Jaa Vs. Marrese Crump, those are all some bad ass fight scenes check em out
Nice video bros.... you two so funny...hehee.... how about Jackie Chan movie fight ,jackie Chan movie is not just a movie but real life stunt, i will waiting for you next reaction video bros...hehee
even jackie chan and jet li admits that donnie yen has practical martial arts for killing, and thats what martial arts is, the art of killing/fighting. Ironic cuz Wing chun was developed by a female monk and meant for women...not for killing.
Donnie yen is a real life badass. once, in hong kong, him and his girlfriend were in a club, a bunch of guys started harassing her. yen tried to be peaceful and they got out of the club, but those guys followed and started a fight. yen put nine of those guys in the hospital. check it out it's real.
"Did Japan really invade China?" Aw come on guys! Btw, do check out The Raid and The Raid 2 for awesome fight scenes like this and Ong Bak. It'll be worth it I promise
eddie huang calm down friend, we all know what the Japanese did. China is becoming the greatest nation and when that happens, then can you take your revenge on Japan. maybe not militarily but economically take them out. patience.
~ Nah..those Star Wars director don't know how to capture Donnie Yen fast move in the movie..need to give the camera to these hong kong director who know how to appreciate martial arts move
umm I think it was the 'whites' who were provoking the war. Capturing Asian nations left and right. Japan stood up to defend their ass. They didnt have resources so they had to capture likes of China in order to fight them. Its funny Japan always gets the blame. Who would just bend over and wait to get raped? I know I wouldn't. Dont know about others
That movie sucks. The enemy is entering 1by 1 lol. Its 1 vs 1 after another.😂 when that shit IP man is beating one person the others are just jumping like bullshit.😂
Yeah Donnie is underrated I have to see him in this! I just him in Rouge one though he was watered down somewhat in star wars Rouge one just letting you know! But I get with Donnie more I know im a fan Thai coming Tony Jaa
if you guys like this you should react to ip man best fight scenes and also tom yun goong (the protector) 1080p bone breaking that scene is one of my favourites
yes he is right the Japanese invading China around the 1940s...when they were fighting the Chinese for control and used the tournaments as a way to see who's the best to find someone to teach the Japanese their style of fighting....Yip Man passes but he refuses to teach them
Donnie is great, there's also another actor called WU JING. Wu is very popular these days in China. I'll recommend him if you enjoy watching martial art movie.
You know that Ip Man was the master of Bruce Lee?
Of course! lol
2BrosReact he is right
2BrosReact yeah, IP man trained Bruce Lee, IP MAN WAS REAL
Yes, and therefore..
Ip Man > Bruce Less > Chuck-fuckin-Norris lol
You must have the movie in order to know that, because that's how I found out.
Donnie Yen being in Rogue One was the biggest reason why I went to see it.
Dakota Nason ...Me too!!
OMG. I didn't even realize that was Donnie Yin Rogue one. Now I'm going to go back and watch it again.
same, and star wars

right and the right term would be "fascist". This had nothing to do with "communist"
Dude, your friend is stupidly soft for a big guy! The moment he said "Why can't people love each other?" , I lost it!

i laughed so hard when you said he broke his face 😂😂
I get fired up every time I see that scene
this scene makes no sense lol
A bit movie magic is never wrong. If these were real fights a lot of people would never fight again because of injuries.
To clarify, it wasn't Communism, it was Japanese Imperialism. However, you are correct that (similar to the Nazis) Japan did subjugate parts of China as well as parts of Asia which means innocent people were either killed or forced to work as slaves in their hometowns.

antonio lopez they did that way before ww2 lol try pre ww1

But japan were the first one to provoke war so they are the assholes not the chinese
SSKACG lol you have point, Then it would be hot to see a half russian half chinese women
umm I think it was the 'whites' who were provoking the war. Capturing Asian nations left and right. Japan stood up to defend their ass. They didnt have resources so they had to capture likes of China in order to fight them. Its funny Japan always gets the blame. Who would just bend over and wait to get raped? I know I wouldn't.
