    Yeah I don't know why they don't make the brushes longer. Its like they forgot how thick and deep type 4 hair is. Especially when it's long type 4 hair. It's like wearing a motorcycle helmet.

    Tangle teezer has the thick and curly brush that has longer teeth. It’s what I use, however, it’s a hand hold brush. They don’t have one with a handle yet sadly.

      @@MiVidaBellisima I know, I’ve tried pretty much all of their brushes. The naturally curly purple brush with the handle doesn’t work well for me. The thick and curly brush is more flexible and has longer teeth, only downside is that they haven’t made one with a handle as far as I know.

    No. 1 and No. 2 is a little stronger which is why it is for professionals ONLY and also the fact that if OLAPLEX put No. 1 and No. 2 out FOR SALE, is just a matter of time before someone claims their hair fell out. Olaplex is already fighting that battle with the consumer products.

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  Год назад +1

      The only way I got access to these products was through a professional. They aren’t just selling this directly to the consumer. I understand the concern, but I’m fine with using it on my hair.

      @@BrittanyMiaI’m jealous you were able to get these products! I have bleached hair and would actually get a real benefit from the intensive treatments 😢 even if they sold with a disclaimer, it’s just annoying that they’re gatekeeping the most important part of the equation. I’m not paying $60 or more just for someone to wash my hair with these.

    This was perfect timing. I picked up a bottle of No. 4 on impulse since it was at the check out line at Ulta. Just used it for the first time and I’m so interested in the rest of the line

    Idk if it’s the daily cowashing or the bond repair treatments, but your hair in this video is looking at its best.
    P.S. would you consider doing a video about your preferred detangling tools? I feel like you have some valuable insight to offer on them.

    Why do you use the clarifying shampoo #4C after #4 the 1st shampoo.

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  Год назад +1

      I am simply in the habit of using #4 before #4C, but since I did not shampoo before adding in the treatment, it would’ve been beneficial to swap. My stylist Breanna also suggested to use the moisturizing shampoo first to do some light detangling, but that really wasn’t necessary in this particular situation.

    I used Olaplex a few years ago and was thinking of revisiting, but I was unsure if I really saw or felt a difference. But my hair wasn't in the best condition in general. Maybe it's time I give it another shot!

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  Год назад +1

      I’m with you with feeling a difference because it took a while for me to feel a difference and an improvement but that’s mainly why I added in the K18. They are different and do different things, but both bond builders so I think it’s going to be beneficial in the long run. I’m also going to implement more protein treatments and deep conditioners so I can focus on strengthening the hair inside and out.

    Would you recommend olaplex for your staple weekly wash and condition? For someone who (currently) has virgin hair. My hair loves it but Im not sure if its too much for my weekly washes

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  Год назад

      You could do it weekly, but I would start out biweekly and see if it’s really necessary for you to do weekly. Since you have virgin hair, it doesn’t have to be a weekly thing. But if you want it to be it absolutely can. This is what they say about it on the Olaplex blog:
      “If you generally have healthy hair free from chemical treatments, but you are still exposed to damage from the environment, styling tools like a brush, or thermal styling, we recommend one treatment weekly to every other week. Even virgin hair can benefit from being healthier. With all the different ways damage can occur in the hair, you likely fall into one to two of these categories. In which case, treating the hair with OLAPLEX can repair the damage done in between treatments. Not only will it rebuild the damage done, but it will also maintain the healthy hair you have now, making it more durable than before.”

    A cosmetologist told me Olaplex is used like a prepoo on dry to damp hair bc the hair strand can only hold so much liquid in it and you'll want all or most of that to be Olaplex to get the most out of the products. I tried it both ways and noticed a huge difference between freshly washee hair and dry hair. But I'd also stopped using products with oil/butter bases and had been clarifying more often and thoroughly 🤷🏾‍♀️

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  Год назад +1

      I’m starting to implement more protein treatments, but I’ll touch on that in a future video. By this point, I hadn’t though. What protein products are you adding back into your hair?

    • @RabielleParfait
      @RabielleParfait Год назад +1

      @@BrittanyMia Most products I’m using like Innersense do contain light amounts of proteins, but I don’t find them to be enough. I’m more on a diy journey when it comes to proteins and add for example hydrolysed rice, quinoa, wheat, silk & amaranth proteins/peptides to my masks. 😇
