I believe he was filming that fight between sol and Mae. You can see a red blinking dot as you do when you’re filming. Whether he is filming to show the council as the council perhaps has seen a fighting pattern like that in the past or he is going to study her fight patterns to try and take her down him self.

I think it’s time to give up the callbacks. New characters being fleshed out is good. The galaxy is massive. But, Disney doesn’t need to oversell it to the crowd. There are multiple other Jedi at this time. This series is showing me that they’ve learned that. Maybe Yoda will appear in the end and give all the OT fans a reason to live again.

This show is the most hard one average thing released so far this year. $25 million an episode for..meh
These 4+ hour snooze fests need to end. _Mandalorian_ , _Obi-Wan_ , and now _The Acolyte_ should all have been 2-hour movies. Don't get me started on _Andor_ would have been more tolerable and probably a great spiritual successor to _Roque One_ if they had just made it a 2-hour movie. Also release them in theaters where we can enjoy it on the big screen like SW was meant to be experienced. Disney Plus has ruined it all by watering down the experience instead of creating a concentrated, focused experience that has minimal filler.

This feels like a fan film when they’re a billion dollar company…. Even in episodes 1-6 they had less money and somehow made everything fit into place from the scenery, story, THE SPECIES. Like why is there only humans in this???? Cuz they DEFINITELY have enough money for prosthetics on every character. What are scared to throw in some Biths, Rhodians, Weekays, Twileks, Togrutas???? This is bad man, and this is coming from some who likes some of Disney sw like totj and bad batch and a bit of ahsoka what’s going on!!

@StarWarsTheory I have only seen as much of this show as you have shown here, that is to say. I haven’t watched it myself from end to end. Just from the little you’ve shown here, I am getting major girl-boss vibes. Same recipe for every show now men are shortsighted woman know how to get things done and are the true thinkers, movers and shakers in this show.
You have to watch it to understand. I didn’t get girlboss from this at all. I’m getting some Anakin inner turmoil vibes, tbh with you. The mystery and the betrayal is interesting. It doesn’t feel uber feminist at all. Good acting.

The first two episodes of the acolyte weren’t bad at all. They also weren’t a masterpiece, but people just really shit on it for no reason and don’t give it a chance

I disagree theory is being passionate. Nothing about this show resembles star wars. It looks like a bad fanfic. One of the jedi actually looks like a dad playing dress up. Then u have Carrie an moss in here as a jedi basically being trinity. Really original. You have jedi being killed by blades when jedi can stop this from hitting them with the force and yes Disney is giving us another female scentric story that was inspired by frozen and a director wanting to give the audience a star wars story set in a gay non binary universe filled with pronouns and messaging. Yeah that is exactly what star wars is. So the audience this seems intended for makes up about 4 or 5 percent of population. Entertainment is supposed to do exactly what it means. Unfortunately now it's a checklist no matter if it's good for story. Your certainly subject to ur opinion but no star wars fan ever wakes up saying I want to trash anything that is star wars. Fans have hope that overtime something new will come along and make star wars what it used to be. Which is something special and magical to the imagination . People like to say theirs a divide in star wars but getting paid to give reviews and support this for a specific groups agenda to brainwash audiences with their ideology is not being a fan. 28 percent audience score is what it is. That means the majority of fans agree with a astounding 70 percent of them coming together. Disney star wars is not George Lucas vision and never will be. I wonder the rewatchability of the new trilogy or new star wars series is. In say 2o years will people say hey I want to watch the acolyte for the hundredth time in my life or will the simply go back to the original trilogy were magic once lived?

I don’t think he asked for nostalgia. I think he meant that it would be a great way to give some viewers familiarity. Like in the prequels when we see young obi wan, but the story follows Anakin - a character we don’t know about (until he becomes Vader obviously). Me personally, I don’t think the involvement of yoda is integral to the story here, wouldn’t hurt to see him obviously, but all in all the show is ‘okay’ so far.

The fact that Leslie Weinstein, oops I mean Headland joked that “R2-D2 is a lesbian” and that “Star Wars is gay” speaks volumes. I also heard that the 3rd episode next week is going to be even worse than the The Last Jedi and will definitely “subvert expectations”.

I will say I was a long time follower of this Channel and I'm looking at the comments I definitely see the sourness that I've been overheating that has came here I'm somewhat saddened to see it especially because I somewhat understand with the warning of basically saying all the characters and the complaints about certain characters not being fleshed out yet this is literally the start of the character story in the mystery is their past because I feel like some of the criticisms you are throwing at these new characters if we just go from the new hope you can throw at someone like Ben Kenobi you won't know why he's important

@@kingkb54 watching Mando - Ahsoka, I always felt I was in a lived-in Star War universe; from dialogue, dress, setting . This felt like watching Arrow ( great show btw). Sorry if it doesn't make sense.
@@wazer85 okay see how to get more what you were saying but even let's say the examples you give that doesn't necessarily give me anything when watching Ahsoka now in my eyes I feel like you get that feeling because you're familiar with the character and familiar with what drives into that point then that isn't the isn't that the CW Show it's literally that this show is new that the that the show is because for example right if it's a CW Show and it's written like a CW Show the way a CW Show does drama is that the majority of the episode is hyper focused on the drama and gets in the way of the plot would you not say the plot as of right now is pretty simplified we're looking for the sister we're hunting down the sister for killing the Jedi cuz if you believe that then you can't believe it's dramatizing something because then that would mean these episodes would be hyper focus on why these characters have different ideas on how to go about doing something and it's getting in the way of the plot. So for example if this was a CW Show Your would be doing something behind the back of all the characters in those episodes not later on in the episode The instant he doesn't like something he's going to be constantly nagging and then doing his own side thing where either he has to learn because he makes things worse or he does something right and all the other characters have to realize they're wrong that has not happened

The show is shit but the fight scenes were actually pretty good because it's decent martial arts it could be better but the fight scenes aren't that bad.
This show is somehow cost more per episode than andor, it doesn’t look nearly as good and kinda cheap in comparison.
No world building, dull characters, lame story.
It’s not as bad as kenobi, mando or boba fett but not as good as andor. Very mid.
Not as good as Andor imo. But I loved the worlds and environment. The story is intriguing. So far it's drawing me in. See where it goes.
I don't get why people don't like this. The action scenes are fantastic, the world's and creature effects are great, and the story and time are intriguing. Compared to Ahsoka, Mandalorian season 3, Kenobi, and Boda Fett, it's like the bloody Godfather, lol

I’m a huge huge Star Wars fan, and I’m actually enjoying The Acolyte. Just watched the first 2 eps back to back and I really don’t think they are as bad as people are making them out to be.

Tales of the Jedi and Bad Batch were good, what happened with that and progress from that. They spent 10x more money on this series and Bad Batch and TOTJ alone are wayyyyy better by a landslide
