- Sugar cravings can be hard to get rid of once started, but the good things is they can be stopped...for good! I have a crazy sweet tooth and if I can get off the sugar rollercoaster so can you. Here I share some simple daily habits that have helped me stop my sugar cravings in their tracks.

I cut my cravings for sugar by detoxing first, a 14 day cleanse. Then I started eating more fruit, natural sugars when ever I got a craving for something sweet. I stopped eating bread, the yeast in bread causes you to crave sweets. And I started using monk fruit sweeteners, in turn doesn’t attack your pancreas like white refined sugar, and it doesn’t lead to short term memory loss. Cane sugar, corn syrup, starchy foods are bad for you.

Clicked on this so fast. I’m good until a week before my menstrual. The sugar cravings go crazy and I don’t have an appetite for anything else but burgers.
Are you iron and vitamin d deficient? When I crave a burger, or ice I know my iron is lower than usual.

The best way to reset your palette is to take bitter herbs for a few days. The more bitter the better it works

I needed this video. I go for a long period of time without it and then when I do, it’s a rabbit hole of sugar, a binge of sweets and ice cream, but I have eczema and if I eat too many sweets, my face swells, and that is when I usually stop.
I am in the same boat, eating too many sweets. Ughhhh! I have to do better.

Same with being hard to get back on track once you indulge. I shouldn't for health reasons. Fatty liver is silent for most people. People have no idea what's going in with their organs until something goes wrong. You don't want to get to that point.
This video was God sent. I’ve lost weight before by eating naturally and more healthy. I feel like I can’t eat sweets or carbs without falling totally off the rails. The craving completely go through the roof and I gain weight like crazy. I’m going to get better. I have to.
I have made the decision to completely stop eating sweets and carbs too. I can't have "just one". I will go off the deep end. It's like waking up a sleeping bear.

Hey Toni, just a heads up but blending oats (or any carb for that matter) and drinking it has been proven to cause a large blood sugar spike and subsequent crash. (DR Gregor covers this in an old smoothie video ) I struggled with feeling tired after meals and realized I needed more high protein. Wish i learned this a decade ago, great tip
Wow, I was wondering why I would crash after drinking my smoothie with oats . I would not put much agave, so I didn’t understand the crash . Makes since I overload the oats 😵💫😵💫
Add some almond or natural peanut butter to reduce the sugar peak.

@@kinohh1295 swap the agave with a whole date. A agave is a highly processed sugar that doesn't resemble the cactus it derives from.

Toni you are so sweet, but my habit with sugar is so dam toxic. After my detox, I really can't have any processed foods, as I need to really restrict my sugars for about a year at a minimum.

HAHAHAHA, I definitely get that "YOLO!!!!!!!" attitude after cutting out sweets and carbs for so long.
I did a 3 day fast. Day 1- water & tamarind juice. Day 2- fruit/veggie juice Day 3 - during the day - fruit and veggie juice. And then a healthy dinner.
Even though it was only 3 days, I felt amazing afterwards. Day 2 was very hard but it proved that I can control my cravings 😅

This was helpful…the days I’ve started with high protein really does set the tone for the rest of the day. Never was a big sweets guy anyways. I def have been dancing between whether I’m low carb or some carb depending on what workout I’m doing that day.

Any recommendations supplementing for conventional coffee creamer?
I can detox & cut out sugar but don’t want to cold turkey& cut every thing out including my coffees
There’s protein pasta and protein rice
I’m older so regular carbs are not my friend..
I will add them back in a few times a week after I lose my weight

Helpful Habits
I could go without sweets indefinitely. I never crave that. It’s JUICE that I’m battling addiction with. Yes addiction. Dropping alcohol (social drinker) out of my diet was an easy decision. But it’s been a real struggle to completely eliminate juice 😩😩 send help lol

I prefer videos that explain in detail the science behind the food recommendations, ie, the effects on the body. Obviously different people connect with different modes of communication so this will be working for some, but not me.
