I hope you enjoy this video and that it gives you a plan for reducing or quitting sugar! Let me know if this is something you're working on right now 💛
it doesnt work. I lost 50lbs 4 times now by cutting out all sugar and ended up eating it months later. it doesnt work. most people always go back to it and regain the weight. facts!
I had a bad sugar crash this past weekend. It was really bad. It made me determined to stop eating sugar for good. I have done this so many times, but this time is truly for good. I can't do moderation when it comes to sweets. I have gone cold turkey eliminating sugar.♥️. I am glad I did.😊
Sugar is really addictive. You understand it only after you quite it. I stopped to eat sugar some time ago. Life without sugar is a whole new dimension.
@@brightwithspiritto me it's a huge difference. I feel completely different but this you realise only after you quit, it's a banch of small things. It wasn't easy to quit, but try once 30 day without sugar. It will be not easy, especially first week, but I promise that if you manage this magical 30 days you see and feel difference in your attitude and even on your scale. Answering your question about my diet, I eat normal except I try to keep low carb diet, I have decreased my portions, I try to eat whole foods, and stop snacking and if so, let it be some fruit. I allow my self to eat something sweet times to time (I will say once a week) but this is always something prepared by my self, home made apple pie etc. I have also stop to drink sugar, no coffee or tea with sugar, no soda. I had some episodes that I took chocolate after months without sugar and I felt really bad after. Now it has been already almost 6 months with very low sugar consumption and I will only say that my body doesn't crave for it anymore. To me it was pure addiction in my case.
@@brightwithspirit to me it really is different, my moods are stable, for like, the first time in my life 😂. I tried keto diet a few years ago, and omg I got so sick that I gave up after 2,5 days. That's when I realized how hooked I was. So then I started cutting out high sugary food like cakes and ice cream and all the obvious. Then I cut out anything with white flour, potatoes and replaced it with brown stuff. I ate way more pulses like lentils , chickpeas, beans.. it took a while but eventually it became natural for me and I went from having regular almost daily cravings to hardly ever crave sugary stuff. I had no trouble eating 3 or 4 huge slices of cakes and now content with half a slice. Biting into an apple is like biting in a candy now, literally lol. It feels so sweet. I tried the keto diet again, and loved it, it was so easy. Nothing like the experience I went through when I was so hooked on sugar. And I honestly was super super dependent on sweet.
@@sunbeam9222 Thank you for sharing! I have a problem with sugary drinks, cokes, etc. What has been helpful for me is to chew gum and drink very high quality water instead of reaching for the drinks. I hope to have the renewed outlook on life soon too!!

OMG! I am the same, never had a sweet tooth until during my pregnancy with my son, he is only three months and I am very aware of the increase in sugar i thought it would die off after i had him... now i understand i am addicted and have to try much harder
It is interesting how doctors always told us "with authority because they were a doctor" to eat low fat foods but these foods were laden with sugar that stacked on the weight.
I have been trying to be on a clean eating diet. I am getting ready to get my gallbladder out. I am on a low fat diet for that which was a hard start. But it's in a way helped my sugar cravings since I've been focusing on lowering my fat diet. I haven't had much of an appetite since finding out about my surgery. But I'm hoping to continue a low fat low sugar diet.
90% of reducing sugar intake happens at the grocery cart or cafe counter-make it a rule to stop buying or bringing home foods with added sugar! At first, I had to actually avert my eyes from the cookie and bakery aisles-plus the end caps, where sugary pseudo-foods often go on sale-but it gets easier the more you do it. In a short time, the cravings cease as your body adapts to your healthier diet. Remember also that it's best to avoid most high-starch processed foods as well: metabolically speaking, starch is just slow-release sugar.
Going to give you reality. First hand experience. The ONLY way you will kick sugar is a 100% commitment to change your eating habits! There is zero chance otherwise. It's more than just cutting sugar! No bread! No process food! No soda, diet or otherwise. EMPTY the house of ALL junk food, snacks, flavoring, toppings, ice creams, sweets, ALL OF IT MUST GO! For me? The only way this was happening was via Keto diet. You need to commit to a lifestyle of WHOLE FOODS! Your sweets will be the right fruits!. Your snacks? Maybe some nuts, a salad, olives, pickles. The special treat? 90% cocoa dark chocolate. You need to stop using sugar for energy. Took me only two days to get over the worse of it. My biggest cheat was coffee with Splenda! (there are better cheats). It gave me my routine of Coffee, breakfast. Ditch the bread, the potatoes, but kept the eggs, bacon, and coffee. Trick my mind into thinking things were as usual. Grabbed plate full of healthy snacks, but now, snacks are olives, a nice salad with only red wine vinegar and olive oil. NO ICE CREAM. No cheating! It's a MASSIVE change. Over time, you'll learn that there's many alternatives to store bought processed good foods. EVEN ICE CREAM made with heavy cream will be your future treat! BUT, it will actually be processed they way nature intended! Go for it! Can't tell you how proud I am of ditching sugar!
I agree with almost all that you have noted. For me I had gained 70 lbs and with limited to wearing sweat pants and oversized shirts. Also health issues. Seeing the occasional photo of my obese self also motivated me. So one day I went cold turkey on all the foods that got me to where I was. Took two weeks to break the habit. Started walking about the same time. Short leisurely walk over time became a brisk walk of 3 to 4 miles 4 to 5 times a week. Also listened to upbeat podcasts that distracted my mind from the boring part of walking for 45 to 60 minutes (10 to 20 minutes in the beginning). And if the podcast was really good, I would walk till it was over. Now 200 lbs instead of 270 my life is reborn. From size 46 to 38, my clothing is loose for all the right reasons and I feel 10 years younger. Ironically, my friends chided me as I lost weight. They said I was getting to thin. How crazy is that!
