Hello. Recently I wanted to buy boots and a leather jacket from Thursday boots. Although they have an excellent reputation for the quality of their boots I was frustrated with the color of their jacket. The jacket I saw and the jacket they showed on their website looked like two completely different jackets. Can you maybe do a review on their jackets and their actual color of them?
I go with Chelsea. Best jeans for me are American Eagle AE Flex Athletic Fit. Tapered fit 9" ankle seam. Great look, fit, and they're perfect for sneakers or boots. Best part is on sale they're $40.
I used to think this until I tried gap jeans for the first time. And similarly they are always on sale. Unless you are a 30/30 then they will never have your size on sale. Haha that’s probably the only thing I miss about being bigger.
You're right, AE is underrated. I'm wearing my dark blue jeans with my brown Chelseas today. They're so comfortable. I've been bodybuilding for 25+ years and jeans have always been an issue. FINALLY, Athletic Fit comes out. My office pants are Old Navy Athletic Fit Ultimate Tech and Stretch chinos.

I’ve worn Chelseas with slim dark denim but I’ve also worn a sleek lace up dress boot with the same said denim as well. It depends on the size of the boot and how chunky or cumbersome they look or appear with your jeans like Antonio said in the video. Good stuff
You could have one boot design but the level of formality changes just by the color and texture of the leather. The darker the more formal and the more smooth/glossy the more formal. Even a cap toe service type boot can be dressed up easily if it is a dark polished leather.

I love my western boots I got from Thursday recently and wranglers. I'm Texan so it's a casual look for most of us, even in the big city of SA. I'm beginning to wear this Thursday boots every day.
I'm enjoying the look of mid-to-light brown, burgundy/ oxblood and tan boots that are a bit on the darker side, with slightly dark, mid blue, denim. I also like the look of my black Chelsea, with the, kind of, 'biker boot' type strap and buckle detail along with really dark indigo blue. The days of me in Timberlands and bigger, biker style, boots are over. Good to see a RUclips presenter who can talk about how great their sponsor's products are and be 100% honest and right. I’m 16, my only pair of boots atm are a pair of dark brown leather Chelseas from Loake. Had them for 3 months so far, I take care of them very well, the leather’s great and as is the build quality. They work for the great outdoors or in the city. Got them for £255. Would recommend very, very strongly.

My preference... a pair of dark denims with an oxford long sleeve, herringbone sports coat, and a pair of ankle high half brogue pair of semi dress boots about ankle high. Old School, think something like a pair of Allen Edmonds Hamilton boots, in Chile color.
The only style of boots I cuff my jeans with are my Scout chukka boots and my Vanguard cap toe boots. Best boots for jeans to me are lace up styles in plain toe or cap toe and suede Chelseas only. Brogued and Wingtipped boots are higher on the formality scale although still casual. For them I go Corduroy pants.

Great vid as always! I think running shoes are great with jeans as long as they are not too colorful, like just 1-2 color. Chelsea boots looks simple and classy. That's why I'm trying to find a good design with side zippers.
Love my Thursdays! Been wearing them since 2018 and just received another pair a few days ago. I wear my Captains with Levis 512's. They're perfect. Also, wanted to add that if you do hem your jeans make sure the tailor tapers them. The leg opening gets larger if you just chop it off and hem it.

There are different levels of formality in jeans: from dark, clean, non-distressed jeans that go well with a sports jacket to heavily distressed jeans that can at best be worn for gardening ... And for boots the range is even wider: from rubber boots ideal for gardening to balmoral boots that can be worn with morning dress ... So not all boots are casual.
Boots are just a type of shoe. There are casual boots, dress boots, boots that serve a specific purpose, etc. leather, fabric, plastic, rubber, they come in all shapes and sizes. Just try and get them with stitching rather than glue.
I've got a pair of Country Road, Rugged Resilient, Stormking, Thursday Captains and they go awesome with just about every pair of jeans I own. Personally I love the look with my slimcut light denim jeans.
I've got a Bed Stu boot (mid grey, with a beautiful patina) that I routinely pair with these deep green twill jeans. Pretty sure it's my most complimented look. Throw a white t and band collar leather jacket and it gets attention.
I have a pair of green suede Rogue boots. They are perfect with denim! They dress up or down. Depending on the light, they look green or brown. I actually walk taller when wearing these boots. POWERFUL!!!
Great advice. Proportionality is KEY! I prefer Chelsea boots with an elongated, sleeker shape. Great with jeans, in a smart casual look, and can even go with dress pants and a blazer. I save my Chukkas for strictly casual attire.

I'm in Texas. The boots I wear with my jeans are one of my pairs of Western Boots. The style depends on the occasion. I wear Straight Fit Jeans when I'm wearing my boots. The opening is big enough but not too big. I wear Slim Fit Jeans when I'm wearing regular shoes.
Thursday boots are a great dress boot IMO. I'd have to say I love my Redwing Moc Toe boots more than any other boot I've ever had tho. The durability of the uppers is unmatched in mass produced boots too. But I will have a pair of Thursdays for mildly dressy situations for sure tho. They look great and would last a lifetime wearing them out on the weekends. Thursday boots with slacks but Redwing 1907s with jeans for me.
I guess I deserve a flogging. I just wore my runners with jeans to the hardware store, but the style bar at Home Depot is pretty low... When I do care about matching boots to denim I like my dark brown Clarks Desert Boots with worn-in dark slim fit Levis.
Great video. Especially the part on leg opening. I use my cellphone in the store sometimes. I hold my cell phone next to the leg opening and I know I want it to be about 1-2 inches longer than the length of my cell and this will be about 7-8”. It’s a great tool for me. Also your comments on proportionality, I see so many guys with big clunky boots that make them look like a caricature.. spot on!
Great video, I loved all the descriptions with the exception of one. You refer to the model designated the "Explorer" as a jump boot. As a paratrooper the boot is not in the desgin language of the Corcoran Jump Boot. All the Thursday boots are great and I have a few fromthe President to the Cadet, but giving the Explorer creds it does not have feels a bit of a stretch. I am sure people will pile on my comment but I believe with comparing something to a Corocran it should be of a certain style and if you have ever spent time in a pair know that thaty are near impossible to break in and make comfortable. That being said, keep up the good work with the videos and keeping us all infomred.
Thursday Boots are great! Years ago I bought a pair of dress shoes and its glue came apart after a few years as they used Fake Stitch instead of Blake Stitch.
Red Wing 9016 is the only boot you need with jeans .......... if you can find them. I take that back, Fiorentini & Baker used to make some nice leather and suede men's boots too but again, if you can find them.

You should do a video on Grant Stone boots/shoes. I started out with Thursday Captains and Loggers. Then I purchased Beckett Simonon Elliott Balmoral. Finally I ended up with a pair of Grant Stone Ottawa boots. The Ottawa boots are NST boots like the Alden Tanker. I would say that Grant Stone's are much better built for durability, quality, finishing, qc is perfect! I've had my Ottawa's for a few months and no stitches are out of place or have threadbare. I think Grant Stone is on the same level as AE and Alden and I would say that almost better than both. The only con for the brand is that they are mic. If GS built their boot in America they would be north of $900+ easily but they're less than half that price. Should take a look at them if you haven't already.

I was very stylish in middle school when I rolled my jean cuffs, but I don't think I'll ever be going back to that look because I am a grown man now. It is nice to look put together and all, but I would rather see a guy in duck taped shoes, over skinny jeans and rolled cuffs any day. And stop with the flowery designs on the back pockets, or just give your litte sister back her pants. Oh, and her hair products and body spray while you are at it.
I loooove boots and I prefer darks Chelsea's because of the feeling and look , but that is pretty much because I use dark denim, which is the key as to whether use dark or brown definitively.
Not really a skinny Jean wearer with my rugged boots i like to do more slim straight or straight (with some rips for character) more for everyday wear. With my wingtip boots i like to keep it slim fit a tad bit more tapered at the bottom just for a more classy look

I purchased a pair of matching blue jean tennis shoes to go with my original normal loose fitting blue jeans and received many compliments.

I admittedly go with jeans and running shoes. Its minimalistic and comfortable when traveling. More comfortable than Chucks or Loafers.

You should do a video on Grant Stone boots/shoes. I started out with Thursday Captains and Loggers. Then I purchased Beckett Simonon Elliott Balmoral. Finally I ended up with a pair of Grant Stone Ottawa boots. The Ottawa boots are NST boots like the Alden Tanker. I would say that Grant Stone's are much better built for durability, quality, finishing, qc is perfect! I've had my Ottawa's for a few months and no stitches are out of place or have threadbare. I think Grant Stone is on the same level as AE and Alden and I would say that almost better than both. The only con for the brand is that they are mic. If GS built their boot in America they would be north of $900+ easily but they're less than half that price. Should take a look at them if you haven't already.

I am 46 and I would not fold my jeans up to my ankles like I am walking on flooded streets; nor would I wear jeans so tight they are hard to get out off in an emergency. If you wanna know how to wear jeans after 45 just ask Tom Cruise. Thanks for the video amigo.

I was very stylish in middle school when I rolled my jean cuffs, but I don't think I'll ever be going back to that look because I am a grown man now. It is nice to look put together and all, but I would rather see a guy in duck taped shoes, over skinny jeans and rolled cuffs any day. And stop with the flowery designs on the back pockets, or just give your litte sister back her pants. Oh, and her hair products and body spray while you are at it.

I loooove boots and I prefer darks Chelsea's because of the feeling and look , but that is pretty much because I use dark denim, which is the key as to whether use dark or brown definitively.

Not really a skinny Jean wearer with my rugged boots i like to do more slim straight or straight (with some rips for character) more for everyday wear. With my wingtip boots i like to keep it slim fit a tad bit more tapered at the bottom just for a more classy look

Chelsea and chuka work the best with jeans
