    The power he creates with this style is absolutely incredible. His dodges coil up his body in a way that puts maximum power behind every counter he throws. For a boxer of Tysons stature, there is no other style that is as devastating as this. Tyson was an absolute monster among men in the ring.

      This style has its glaring weaknesses as well. The only real place for it is a heavy weight boxing ring.
      Sugar Ray would have danced around it. The distance one spreads their feet to generate that power leaves them completely vulnerable.

    People say his punches were totally devastating but I think his ability to dodge was a major factor in winning matches. It like he could see those in slow motion. World class reflexes 😌

      I agree, every elite athlete who understand so much of their craft, plus years of hard work creating your own style of it, makes'em be able to play their sport like they're watching everything in slow-mo, same with guys like Ronaldinho playing soccer, for exemple

    He's actually small but has immense power. So they taught him a style where he primarily bobs and weaves to take as little damage as possible - whilst using the momentum of the dodge to charge up his power attack. That is next level legendary 👑

    Goodness. Tyson might be the only boxer I feel suffocated when watching him train. Especially when he goes forward while weaving. That shit builds momentum for a good hook anytime. Good hook for him, deadly to people. He is powerful man.

      no, he wouldn't, this style doesn't work in mma at all, it works in boxing because of the rules that don't allow you to kick, take the other person down. it's a very specialized style that only works within that rule set

    One or perhaps the best counterpuncher there has ever been. Always catching the opponents in unbalanced movements using his favourable angles, leverage, hip torsion and footwork to apply as much damage as possible. God he was so good!

    the ability to dodge punches yet still punch back with extreme power was a game changer and no one in the boxing world was ready for that .     Unfortunately when he lost his movements and his speed he became vulnerable. He was smaller than his early opponents but he was younger and faster. Probably that is the downrurn of this technique, you have to be young and very very fast to make it work.
