So pleased you guys finally got to the Philippines! We loved it there but our visit to Cebu was cut short so it was good to see it again with you guys. I can't believe with all the food you guys love to try that you have never even had garlic rice! I love how in Tagalog they say a lot of the words twice, it sounds friendly and so endearing, love that language! Aww the little hungry dog at 9:07 😍
Hello I'm new your chanel enjoy explore in beautiful Cebu and enjoy pilipino food trip delicious I like halo halo.sugbo market so nice god bless stay safe happy family it's more fun in the Philippines I'm waiting from Riyadh saudi I mis my country
The best bulalo I ate was at Tagaytay City, just an hour outside of Manila - at a restaurant overlooking the world's smallest volcano, Taal. Well, most restos in the area are overlooking this epic view.
In Luzon, that dish Cebuano’s called as Pochero looks like Bulalo. Here in Luzon we have a different dish also called Pochero which has a thick tomato soup base with pork, veggies, beans and bananas.
Wow this is an awesome food tour and so cool to see that spot where Anthony Bourdain ate too. Nice to have a local taking you around for this and helping to select the best items to try. A lot of it looked so tasty! But I don't think I would like the crispy fish skin either... I'd still give it a try!
I was in the Marine Corps and was stationed there in the Philippines for 15 months. We eat with our hands. But I have never been to Cebu. I went to Manila and Olongapo. That is where I was stationed. I was there 1982 to 1983. I really had a lot of fun. When I would stay out in town, the Philippino's would bring the coconut by the house that I rented and open it right there. I also learned how to speak tagalog the language of the country. Great video.
That's incredible, it must have been very different that long ago. We made it to Manila, a bit later on but not Olongapo. The country is so much bigger than people realize, we need to go back ! Glad you enjoyed it!
@@TravelInteresante I did. Manila was huge. The Peso doesn't go as far anymore but now as it did back then. But even though. Thanks for the response and I will look forward to more of your videos
Absolutely and thanks for watching. We are going slow but we really care about good presentation in our videos so the wait will hopefully worth it. Much love!
Love Lechon, I always thought Lechon was only pork, but it is awesome to see they have beef. It looks so glazing and delish! That dessert is huge! You guys are so lucky to be there with G&J! Food experts and locals, wow! I love that the Philippines keep so many Spanish words and traditions, merienda is a meal I always miss from Spain, and every time I tell Lieles about Merienda, he looks at me like crazy because it is a small bite of sweet or savory a couple of hours before dinner.
Pochero in Cebu is way different than the Pochero that we have in Manila. The Manila Pochero has thick tomato sauce with beans, garbanzos, plantains, french beans, potatoes, carrots, cabbage, chorizo and pork belly or chicken. The Cebu Pochero is what we call Nilagang baka or somewhat similar to Bulalo which is a beef bone marrow soup.
I'm from Cebu City Philippines, that my favorite is Pochero in tagalog Bulalo, I wish everytime I celebrated my birthday thrs a Pochero preparation during my birthday. 👍 🇵🇭
Mmm I definitely would want to try a Halo Halo snack 😁 Oh my, all of the food you tried looked so delicious. It was nice that you were able to connect with a local for your food tour. Steve had to go to Steve's 😆 The fried fish skin was so crunchy, not sure I would like it either, but I would try it at least!
Greg and Jumi are our dear friends and it was so nice to see them in Philippines! The fish skin is definitely a unique taste and it goes well with beer 🍻😬
Its a originaly japanese dessert but in japan its just milk and fruit but philippines we add much of fruit and other ingridients so its called halo then make its twice so halo halo or mix mix
5:10 You would not see a dog like that in the province.. In the city everything is inside and its not allowed often to feed them with the remains of your food
Pochero??? I think that one is a bulalo! Pochero supposed to have a red soup made of tomatoes. Come to Manila and you will find out what am talking about an authentic pochero!
they've copied our halu halo in most south east asian version. they added different sweet beans, cereals & corn but without leche flan, kaong, macapuno & kaong, it's not a party in your mouth like ours.
i stopped watching your video when i saw the poor starving dog and u quickly ignored him....wish u had given him some food....but i guess u people who eat meat have no empathy towards animals......

While i like pochero(bulalo for the tagalog) but i like Balbacua(skin on beef knuckles stew) better.
Pochero is definitely one of our favorites so far!
@@TravelInteresante Balbacua is the only beef stew thats truly visayan in origin, non thats similar to any stew anywhere.
Negros, Panay and Pampanga food 100%
Awesome!
Fyi guys, Bitcoin payment adoption is growing there especially in Cebu. So if you can convert your money into bitcoin and avoid high fees from banks.
Does Philippines require you to be fully vaccinated or just a negative PCR test ?
The rules are changing frequently but we were fully vaccinated and took a PCR test as well.

5:10 You would not see a dog like that in the province.. In the city everything is inside and its not allowed often to feed them with the remains of your food
Interesting, we actually saw a lot of street dogs in the Philippines.
@@TravelInteresante I meant, a starving dog, who is only skin and bones.
Oh got it
he visited when he was still alive
He was great, wish he was still alive
who dips bread in halo halo men
Apparently some people do 😅
Pilipino snack food :lomi
Amazing 😍
When you eat halo halo just scoop a small portion because it is too cold inside your mouth and you will not enjoy the taste.
Great suggestion! We were too excited to try and dug in too quickly haha!
Pochero??? I think that one is a bulalo! Pochero supposed to have a red soup made of tomatoes. Come to Manila and you will find out what am talking about an authentic pochero!
Interesting and thank you for the reco!
Cebu pochero is really different from the ones in manila. Not that manila pochero is authentic! Its just how we cook pochero cebu
Agh good to know!
they've copied our halu halo in most south east asian version. they added different sweet beans, cereals & corn but without leche flan, kaong, macapuno & kaong, it's not a party in your mouth like ours.
Agh that sounds so interesting. We were so impressed by it, its a genius invention!
actually you can make your rice a soup but come on, if you want to put the soup in the soup bowl then why not.
So true! Thanks for watching 🙏
First impression of a particular region or some regions not the whole nation 😢
That's right! 🙌 Need to explore more
i stopped watching your video when i saw the poor starving dog and u quickly ignored him....wish u had given him some food....but i guess u people who eat meat have no empathy towards animals......
Oh my goodness, we love dogs and would *never* ignore any animals. We always include stray animals to our videos :)
I think you shouldn’t double dip and share one serving of halo2. That’s disgusting.😳😳😳 There’s still Covid..
We had two so one for each couple 😏
