      Sad to say the POOR Filipinos are mostly came from the island of Mindanao, came to Metro Manila then stayed as they wanted without proper education and armed knowledge end up being unsuccessful. But as I said many times poor in MM are still luckier than those in the far provinces because they have access in almost anything. The traffic is often times horrible but as you can see if we only speaking of Metro Manila it is not third world atmosphere right? As a 40 years old Metro Manilan I never felt in my life I Am living in a poor country HONESTLY.
      * The "TRUE" Metro Manilans are only 7 Million people those other 8 M are obviously not from here.

      I think Mary Grace is overrated and not value for money or expensive. I already have a senior discount and i still feel the ouch when buying ensaimadas in Mary Grace for pasalubong. The best ensaimadas i have is in Diamond hotel and it is also still expensive for me. Please note i am basing the price relative to the wages of the majority of the Filipinos who are receiving minimum wage.

    • @iflipover
      @iflipover Год назад

      @@arnieljovero1008 Yes, the ensaymadas now are a bit expensive but they do use quality ingredients like the queso de bola. Expensive ensaymadas are usually those that use it. We used to buy Hizon's and Cunanan's but they're also more expensive now and they also use queso de bola. The cheaper ones usually use processed cheese. In any case, that's the only one I buy there when dining (plus hot chocolate). But if buying a box for pasalubong, yes, quite pricey. But I guess you're also paying for their overhead, etc. Maybe cheaper with home bakers who do need to pay such overhead but make same quality. But you'll also need to pay for courier/delivery. But these vloggers are just visitors so they can't just readily buy from home bakers when you can get them conveniently from Mary Grace if they are around one. I would still want them to get to try it.

    • @iflipover
      @iflipover Год назад

      @@arnieljovero1008 P.S. We are usually gifted with the Diamond Hotel ensaimadas. Is it the one with salted egg -- not quite sure. It's good but I still prefer classic 'old' style. Personal preference.

  • @mocabe01
    @mocabe01 10 месяцев назад

    Trivia: Despite having "city" in its name, BGC is not an actual city by law definition. This means it is not part of the government. They don't elect their own mayor. They can't impose taxes. They don't have judiciary functions. They do not provide free healthcare services etc. BGC is a business district in Taguig, similar to Ayala Ave. in Makati. Contrary to what you keep hearing from other vloggers, BGC is definitely *not* in Manila. However, these cities (i.e. Taguig, Makati, and Manila) are 3 of the 16 cities that comprise Metro Manila -- more formally known as the National Capital Region (or NCR).

      You're technically correct, as few others have politely pointed out. Even though BGC stands for Bonifacio Global CITY, it is a district of Taguig City.
      Regardless of if it's a district or a city, it's still (in our opinion) one of the most underrated areas in the world - so not really misleading I beleive 🤷🏾
