Lovely detailed presentation. One observation. Its pronounced “L”Mirador not “ill” Mirador

The fact that the mafia played a role in this history spoils it for me and any nostalgia or sentiment I feel about it, I am kind of glad that the racquet club no longer physically stands as a beacon of Hollywood remembrance.

The mafia is actually more civilized than the gang warfare of today, which targets women and children. See the bloods and crips of Chicago, NYC and DC.

The first photo is of the Tennis Club pool, not the Racquet Club.

Absolutely correct, the first and next to last photos are of the PALM SPRINGS TENNIS CLUB. These were two very separate tennis clubs.

And the PALM SPRINGS TENNIS CLUB is still thriving even today, as opposed to the Palm Springs Racquet Club, which is non-existent.

Great video. My eldest son was born at the Palm Springs Hospital (previously the grounds of the Mirador.) By the way, the caption with Carole Lombard is a problem. She died in 1942.
