As RAF Aircrew Liz completed 10 tours of Afghanistan, 2 Tours of Iraq, and was the longest serving female aircrew member on the aircraft, serving 17 years. At 21, she was also the youngest Aircrew to deploy to Iraq, and completed 4 years as the only female on the crew, leading to her title 'Chinook Crew Chick'

Liz, friend of mine in Hong Kong 28 Sqn was a MALM. The job he went back to the UK to do was to swan around the countryside in a Landy, putting out Bardic Ts for night flying. It’s rough but someone has to suffer it. 🤣😂
