This should be on mainstream TV. Its excellent stuff. Two great guys. 👍
WOW thank you so much for the support!
Love the Thatcher story. I was working at a company who had the contract to move her belongings throughout her life. We were told fairly quickly and by that night, lorries and 1000s of packing boxes and labels were ready for her. Quite surreal seeing her name on the labels.
I got a pretty short attention span and clicked on a video with Phil and thought I'd give it a listen for like 30 seconds and hop off. I actually stayed and watched the whole hour long video. This dude cracks me up while dropping bombs of wisdom as well lol. Your videos with Dodge were gold bro. Phil CHAMPION more like it haha
Great interview. Seems like a good bloke despite working to protect the people who cause the worlds problems, he clearly doesn't endorse their policies
Thanks for watching!
Keep them coming our way for us all to watch can we have a gurkha on the show be great to hear there story
Inbound buddy!
Deffo needs to be on again with more stories, well done Force Radio
Thanks for your support, John's an excellent story teller!
Awsome top guy , pleasure to have served with you mate 👍🏻👍🏻💂💂💂
Thanks Col , glad you enjoyed it , more to come in the next instalment 😂
What a genuinely nice guy and so entertaining. Yet another great show. Just keep doing what you do Phil 👏
Thanks Andrew !
Glad you enjoyed it
Much appreciated!
You need to get that guy on again asap. He was naturally whitty. He would make a brilliant stand up comedian.
Thanks for the support, he is a top bloke and a born comedian!
Really appreciate that Doug
Phil you’ve done it again mate. Another banger of an interview. I didn’t think I’d enjoy this one as much as some of your others. I was wrong. The guy obviously has a wealth of anecdotes and stories that would make a fantastic interview if only he were allowed to share them. Brilliant stuff 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
He'll be back for round 2!
Interesting, informing and funny. More please!
More to come! Thanks for your support ⚔️
Thoroughly enjoyed this episode Phil, John is a character.
I worked with John throughout his time in SB and prot. (I was hoping he’d name check me because, realising he was a little on the thick side, I helped him get onto the Branch when he was at Holborn). As natural a comedian as I have ever met I’ve spent hours rolling in laughter when working with him. He was once caught out making surreptitious comments to me in a first aid class which annoyed the instructor who did that thing of saying “John, perhaps you’d like to tell the class about hypoglycaemia then”. As quick as a flash, Ginge stood up and clapped his hands together and took control by saying “Ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for being here. Today I’d like to talk to you about sugar diabetes - and no, I don’t mean the Welsh middleweight”. It was bloody hilarious. He always reminded me so much of Lee Mack with his timing.
Absolute gentleman Richard Roe , taught me everything he knew about Protection ( that was a quick 5 mins) 😂
Thanks for your kind words , we had the best of ‘it’ !
But not the cash mate ! 😂
An entertaining guy, good one Phil
Thanks for your support!
Nottingham Proud!!
If the politicians did their job and acted in OUR best interests, they wouldn't need protection.
True, but then we wouldn't have heard the orangutan story!
Great she Phil keep them coming mate 👍
Host is great!
Thanks for your support ⚔️
Nice one Jonny Ringo - great to see an authentic and hilarious take on prot 😂 My (now grown up) son wants me to remind you of your Call of Duty text: “What rank’s your lad?” “He’s a colonel” “F@*king hell, I’m just a chef!” Hope you’re enjoying retirement as much as me mate 😉
