Ahhh Walsall , lived there during the nineties. I was in the former Yugoslavia before it all kicked off and the tension there was that one could cut it with a knife. I told my mates that a civil war will happen pretty soon, not pleasant at all , considering I had been in the border areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan a couple of months earlier in 1990

Great interview, Billy is probably one of the best, if not the best, British soldier that have served in the armed forces. What eye-opening career he has had. This guy needs to be knighted for his service. Great stuff 👍

As for Mark (Billy's) comment about being a Sgt Major in the SAS being the best job in the world.....OMG I SO believe it! It's GOT to have massive downsides, such as the physical toll that it takes on your body, but getting to that position, you've proved beyond doubt that you are in the top 0.1% of all soldiers in the world.
