I gotta admit Test of Knowledge (or whatever it’s called) was actually really interesting. It was a mixture of the first and second game’s endings, with the characters from the first game (Ollie, Drippy, Esther, Swain and Marcassin) but also the four pillars which come into play with the Horned One and the Dragon (Which [statue Oliver] destroyed with the spell Mornstar, another reference to the first game) represents the tyranny of the evil part of Shadar (although in the end he wasn’t that bad) the White Witch (who I don’t think anyone liked) and the Horned One (with a mixture of Doloran in there, though his intentions were pure). I just realised how much I ranted, so imma end it here. Have a good day guys!
I spent like, a whole day trying to figure out what the hell do I remember this song from. Just goes to show how memorable it is, after forgetting most of the game's ost, but this one sticking out after 6 months- and me spending time to go out and search for it. It's pretty damn cool.
You know, I immediately thought of Final Fantasy XIII-2's puzzles when I got to this point. When the song began the bass melody at 1:20, I felt a strange feeling that I still don't know how to describe. Perhaps I just missed the original Ni No Kuni and felt nostalgic, what with the old characters being referenced (funnily enough, I didn't realize it was them until I saw Esther's statue in the second trial).
I wonder if Joe Hisaishi got any inspiration from the Layton puzzle themes for this, since they're both Level 5 properties and it does sound pretty Layton puzzle-y.
Well, if you progress later into the game, you'll be able to build a concert place in your kingdom. If you work hard enough, you'll find the name of the song you're looking for! Also, the name is the City of the Future.

Dreamy, mysterious and calming: just the way i like my soundtrack
I really wish that this OST had been included among the songbook collectibles in game.
It has some Final Fantasy X vibes, can't explain why ... Still a great sound!
Cloister of Trials is the track you're thinking of.
It reminds me FFXIII-2
Been looking for this thx u
Cloister of trials.
Here's the 100,000 $ question... 😁

Verry Professor Layton kind of Track I love all games made by Level 5.

Was about to buy the soundtrack CD but noticed that this song isn't even included. The Ni no Kuni soundtrack release had awesome music missing too.
Love it!
I used to be able to find the whole ost of this game on here, now it's a nightmare to find any, what's the deal?
Trial Time! ^>^
