Hi again and deja Vu. I have five spoiled companions but at 7 one started that itching, I had done everything you did but food allergy test because my Advanced supplement from you came in and started them all on it... No more itching.. I was shocked. That's not what I bought it for but I couldn't believe what happened..lol. also used your green tea and 1% cream for ear yeast infection in my lab. Worked beautifully.

Do you make say a cup of the green tea, then add 1% cream? would that be a tablespoon? thanks. I'll try that. how many times a day and for how long?

Hello Doc. My rescued baby, a Husky mix, was almost constantly licking his anus. I watched to see if there were any worms and never saw any and couldn't figure out why he was having itching or irritation.
Two weeks ago I started giving him your supplement, 1 scoop a day, he has stopped going after his rear and I think his shedding has reduced and his coat is even shinier.
Thank you for your caring and compassion-you got a raw deal, glad to see you have come through it just fine.

Such a cool discilined approach to a common issue. I miss being a vet tech, my body is broke lol! Happy birthday friend, I turned 60 this year! As we age, we are a bit more able to approach issues rationally. We ARE looking to start curcumin & have some good EFA supps as well. They ARE good dogs!

Hi, I use your supp. They are doing well on it. Because my dogs eat their food fast, I am adding warm water to the mixture of food with the supp. powder. This makes a nice broth and they don't inhale the powder while scarfing down their food. Thanks.

I just went through all of this with my dog. Around mid March the incessant itching started. He was itching so bad that he was biting and chewing on his sides, wherever he could reach to the point of puncture wounds. I already had him on a homemade diet that I made in my pressure cooker. I started changing out the proteins and carbs hoping to figure out which one(s) were the culprit(s). After 3+ months of this, I decided to switch from a cooked diet to raw. After 2 weeks the itching reduced considerably. His fur and skin were in bad shape from whatever was irritating him along with the scratching/chewing so I then began to add a couple of teaspoons of coconut oil to his breakfast every day to hopefully sooth his skin. After 1 week with the added coconut oil, the itching stopped...completely! His skin cleared up and his fur has grown back in and is smooth and shiny. I'm still not sure what environmental element set him off but I'm so glad he's doing 100% better!

My husband kept nagging me to take him to the vet but I was determined to figure it out for myself as I knew he'd be put on some sort of steroidal treatment which I didn't want to do at all. My Romeo gets regular baths now with a homemade anti-itch shampoo that includes coconut oil. He's so much more comfortable! :)

@@RaechelleBennett782 did you find your answer? I have itchy dog that had pancreatitis 2 years ago. Seems like the answer lies in good fats

    • @RaechelleBennett782
      @RaechelleBennett782 2 года назад +2

@@robrenhar Yes, two fold though. Diet was one culprit. Food allergies--chicken, watermelon, cucumbers were the main. She had a good diet, no junk, but allergies and food intolerances can affect even healthy dogs. I did supplement with a small amount of coconut oil from then on and it seemed to help her skin settle. Three years ago she was really bothered by itchy feet. Drove her crazy. I had to put booties on her so she couldn't get at her feet, mostly hind feet. The vet said to keep them clean and dry. Within a year we found a lump in her abdomen, small but noticeable. At this point, and it was sudden, she spiked a fever, I noticed loss of appetite and lethargy. Not like my furry kid at all. After running tests, it showed she had NO blood sugar. Mainlining a glucose drip had no result. The lump was a pancreatic tumor and we had no alternative but to put her to sleep. She was 14 yrs 3 months. We were blessed to have her that long. I did some research afterwards and the itchy feet were caused by the pancreatic tumor. A real eye opener. I guess my advice is to consider all possibilities when our furry kids have symptoms. Diet, allergies, disease, etc. My best to you and yours. 🙏🐶❤

I watched another of his videos about dogs constantly scratching, and he recommended omega 3’s and curcumin there as well. So, I added those to my three dogs’ food. Only one is in the same room with me, and she hasn’t scratched since I put both supplements in their food. Hopefully those supplements work. I had gotten them another “supplement”, (it’s supposed to stop a dog from itching, it’s good for their fur, if they have oily skin and/or an odor, it’s supposed to stop that, too), but it didn’t get a chance to work, because the dogs are picky about their food, and they would eat just half of their food, so they weren’t getting enough of that supplement from their food to let it work. I’m surprised they ate their food today, though, because the omega 3’s smell like fish, and when I tried feeding them fish, all 3 dogs snubbed their nose at it.

So, Doctor Andrew, Dave here again for Bella. What can I use topicly for yeast that has spread to her eyelids without damaging her eyes. As I mentioned in my previous comment I've been using Selsun Blue shampoo on the whole of her body and Patt Otic in her ears. I've been working on addressing her diet and trying to eliminate carbs and sugars but that's been recently though I've always tried to feed her healthy foods. I've been giving her white meat chicken and sardines packed in water (loves fish!) and when she gets canned food it's a no grain brand called, 4 Health sold by a company called Tractor Supply. I'm not sure what else I can do. I'd like to see you do a video regarding yeast and it's causes and particularly the treatment of yeast about the eyes and other sensitive areas. By the way, I'm still waiting (almost ten hours) for my vet to return my call. You responded to my last comment within roughly one hour! That's awesome. I wish you would come to Raleigh, North Carolina. I have no doubt you'd be well received and highly valued! Thank you.

Dr. Jones I hope you are doing well. We have used your advice to help our dogs flourish. We do use your canine health formula. Thank you for that. However, my oldest dachshund has been sick lately and we have taken her to the vet four times now. She had a bladder infection. We have resolved that issue, however, I have noticed that she on occasion is leaking a small amount of black (yes black) thick tar like substance from her vulva. I have asked the vet and she has no idea what would cause black tar to come out of her. I read that she may have a yeast infection. My get didn't believe that a yeast infection would cause it. My vet has brought her back into goof health and now doesn't feel that she should be concerned with this issue. In all your years have you ever heard or seen this? Do you know what this could be? I thought maybe you would know since you do know so much. Thank you for all your videos and help. God Bless you and your pets. Sincerely, Andrea Singletary

I make a paste with turmeric to make it more readily absorbable to the body. Heat 1 cup of water to just boiling, then turn it down to a simmer. Add 2 T. of dried, ground turmeric and whisk constantly until there are no lumps. Add a pinch of ground black pepper (this helps with absorption too), and continue to stir until thickened. It should be a similar texture to mustard. If it's too thick, just add a little bit more water and stir again. I give my 100lb lab/golden mix 1 T per day mixed into his food. Store the remainder in a tightly sealed jar in the fridge. :) Don't be surprised if your dog's poo is a bit yellowish after eating it. :D

Feed your dog raw or cooked human grade food, check out barf diet on-line and here are several Drs-Pitcairn, Dobias, Becker as well as Jones here. They also need essential oils and in their diet no processed foods. Use holistic oils down the back, holistic shampoo, DE soap from Dogs Naturally Magazine and Holistic Tag, it is so worth it, no allergies for you dog or you and they smell nice. Since I have done this routine along with staying out of the long grass and keeping our grass short I have no problems at all. Before that the ticks were driving us crazy, Also check The Outsider on evergreen tea with raw honey, good for you and you only need 1 tablespoon for 2 days for a 50 pound dog, for humans drink the cup of tea, this is super high in nutrients and for us killed tick diseases in 2 days. We ran the labs to show it. My dogs have white teeth with no tartar, healthy and don 't smell bad like before. Also, consider MSM with glucosamine for joint health, and only use good vitamins like Dr Dobias or check Jones here in detail, if you use them. Basically human grade provides a better guarantee.

Yes, the older you get, the more you need to scratch your skin. Use your nails and scratch your whole body. Feels great to us just like the dogs. Exfoliates the skin and breaks up the bound up fascia underneath the skin to create tension release.

Vitality Massage I have a American lab. He is very high energy and although we get lots of exercise the winters can be tough. Are lifesaver is I give Luke a full body massage twice a day from the tip of his nose to the end of his toes. This includes scratching throughout. I know the massage is finished when he turns into a noodle LOL. I've had large breeds all my life but never as energetic as Luke I went to massage just out of Common Sense. It's surprising how many people don't think of this. Why would people not realize that what is so relaxing to a human would do the same for their fur baby. I Can Only Imagine how comforting this would have been to my old girl that I lost 3 years ago. The last two years of her life she was blind and sadly although I was petting and loving her all the time I'm sure this thorough massage routine would have been very comforting to her. I actually as I'm retired now have considered opening a business for pet massage. Definitely something to think about. Best wishes BTW whoever grows old with you is very fortunate.😊💞

Dixie Rae; I think your lab is very fortunate to grow old with you! :) A massage twice a day....how fantastic!

helpfulnatural that's very kind of you to say. I lost my hubby 10 years ago and had a lovely Golden Retriever for the first seven years that he was gone needless to say we were very very close. When she passed I was absolutely lost until I brought Luke home and if it wasn't for him it would have I surely would have had some very tough days. So we balance each other out pretty well. Once again thank you for your kind words. Best wishes.
