- Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore is available now, and it's a surprisingly fun and earnest love letter to the Philips CD-i, specifically those two Zelda games. Limited Run Games was kind enough to send Kris a press kit for the game, and its contents are super cool, especially the CD-i replica controller. How does it work? What else is in the box? Is the CD-i back... in POG form?!? Let's find out!

That’s pretty stinking cool! Going all in to pay homage to something so incredibly niche is crazy.
It really is!
It's so refreshing when game developers truly understand their audience.
Right? The amount of things this game gets right is almost unbelievable.
I'd guess the CDi style controller would also be great for visual novels.
That's a great idea! Going to have to fire up Phoenix Wright to try this out on.
I had that controller for my CDI, it definitely made Zelda play a lot better… But still didn’t make it a good game… but it did make it a lot easier play space ace and Dragons Lair one and two
I'm actually excited to use the spoon controller for some visual novels and RPGs! And Vampire Survivors? Uh chyah!
Lucky guy, those controllers don't ship for a long while.
Out of love from the early ytp days with the CDI games I just had to buy this and so far it’s probably my favourite purchase of 2024!
Plus with game prices going up in Canada it’s nice to see this being priced at $25.
A great pickup for those looking for something new on a budget ^^
It's a really cool and weird thing!
This is so awesome, thank you for showing off the spoon controller in action! I'm loving the game so far and I have to get one now!
I hope they consider doing some releases for retro consoles, I'd throw so much money to have this on my PS1 on CRT TV!
I bought this game day one and later that week ordered that super special edition.
Not gonna lie, I'm jealous of those pogs XD
The pogs are super cool, but not as cool as the game itself. I hope you enjoy it!
I've never seen that CD-i controller that you have before. Mine was almost identical to the one that came with your press kit. The only difference was that it had less buttons.
Count yourself lucky you've never used the wireless one. It's the hottest of garbage.
@@stoneagegamer The wired controller was challenging to use, and I can imagine that the RF one you had would have been down right impossible to use due to the lag caused by RF.
You nailed it. The only way I was ever able to finish those Zelda games was with a SNES controller adapter my friend built, though now we have this bluetooth adapter which works great too. stoneagegamer.com/all-in-one-bluetooth-controller-adapter-for-cd-i.html
Honestly, most into the Pogs. They look really cool, especially complete in the card like that. Bummed that regular consumers can't order them at all.
It is a shame the Pogs aren't more widely available. Maybe if there's enough demand that could change?
Awesome video. I wouldnt mind getting that controller someday. I know that LRG made one for the switch version. I had ordered the physical copy of the game for switch and xbox series x. It shipped. Can't wait to get it this week. Plus I wanted to tell you that I bought a evercade game from your site. Amazing experience. I plan to order more from your site😊. Ok I'm seeing that the controller that you have works for switch. So that must be it.
Yup, this is the Switch controller. It's flippin' weird, and I love it. Thanks for watching!
this is a really cool video! crazy how all out they went for this game, especially the acuracy and all
I agree. It's a really wild game, and I'm so glad it exists.
@@stoneagegamer would you recommend getting it on steam or on the switch, conflicted about which one to get
I'm pretty sure they both play the same, so I'd say whichever platforms you like to play this kind of game on. I got it on Switch.
We need a CDi ODE! If one ever gets made, then I will get a CDi
I keep hearing rumblings about it happening, but I haven't come across anything yet. But someday!
@@stoneagegamer exciting to hear!!
I missed out on this preorder!! Are you going to carry this at the store or at least the controller?
Unfortunately, that doesn't seem likely.
Darn that’s too bad. Thanks for the reply
