Original Video Animation, also known as just Super Street Fighter IV in Japan and by its unofficial fan name Super Street Fighter IV: Juri OVA, is an OVA Street Fighter film. It is the second animated film based on the Street Fighter IV games, after The Ties That Bind. The film is directed by Fuminori Kizaki (of Afro Samurai fame) and produced by Gonzo. Initially released as a DLC within the "Collector's Edition" for Microsoft Xbox 360 in Asia, it was later released in the U.S. in 2012, inside the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary - Collector's Set, where it was referred to as Super Street Fighter IV Original Video Animation on the anniversary website.
Plot
The OVA, set just prior to the actual tournament during Super Street Fighter IV, opens with a woman emerging from the S.I.N. lab; the Korean Taekwondo fighter Juri Han, Seth's new hatchet woman replacing C. Viper from the previous game. Juri is empowered by her possession of the Feng Shui Engine (implanted in her left artificial eye socket), which makes her seemingly unstoppable, raring to "go kill something", she heads to an amusement park, hunting down some former S.I.N. personnel; despite being heavily-armed, the thugs don’t stand a chance against Juri's skills.
Though Juri targets and kills off other bad guys as well, she clearly doesn’t care at all that there are hostages or innocent civilians around as she uses her Feng Shui powers to lay waste to everything around her. Soon, the Interpol team of Guile, Chun-Li and Cammy arrive just in time to see the park go up in purple flame. They storm in and split up, with Chun-Li being the one to encounter Juri right away; the ensuing fight proves to be one-sided as Juri beats Chun-Li to near death. Before she can finish her off for good, her eye malfunctions plus the cavalry arrives, so Juri makes a quick exit.
Later, some info from a mysterious source (C. Viper) reaches the team on Juri's whereabouts. While Chun-Li is confined to the hospital, Guile and Cammy set off in pursuit of Juri, now on a mission to capture the Shadaloo Dolls (M. Bison's elite guards) at a secluded lab. Cammy and Guile arrive just as Juri finishes with the last of them. As Cammy tends to an unconscious Juni and Juli, Guile fights Juri. While faring better than Chun-Li, Guile struggles to gain the upper hand, to the point where Juri mockingly mentions Chun-Li and asks if she died; this enrages Guile, and he unleashes a furious onslaught that unfortunately does little except agitate her. Despite Cammy's efforts to warn Guile of an incoming attack, he is unable to dodge Juri's Fuharenjin, and is defeated. Cammy is left alone to leap onto the escaping S.I.N. craft, where she and Juri fight once more. Despite her efforts, Cammy is overwhelmed by Juri, who then shoves the unconscious Juni off the plane, taking Cammy along with her. Luckily, a nearby mountaintop and a mound of snow breaks their fall.
Juri flies off and is congratulated by Seth upon returning. She licks her lips in anticipation, sensing that S.I.N and Shadaloo will clash in the very near future.

Juri is the main female villain(and first) in the street fighter universe as of right now. And as for her gameplay in the game itself, she be a very difficult fighter to battle against or to use, it just depends on the skill (and patience) the player has to pull her off. Take Vega for instance, it's pretty much the same deal there too; weak stamina for both, tricky controls and combos to master, but two very rewarding characters if pulled off right.

Know my point is I dont like Juri for the main reason of her "beating" Chun li, guile and cammy of all people in the damn series. She is just a character with some eye giving her all that power making her seem like some sort of interesting character. The whole going psycho after parents dying has been long used for many characters so theres nothing to open up to for a character like this.
I'm glad to see someone that has an intelligent mind on here. It's cool you understand it's interesting to see other character development and I think it's also more fair to other fans who are into characters other than Ryu, Ken, Akuma and Gouken. My original fav was Blanka (because he looks like a mutant) but then Capcom had to go and make him sillier and sillier. So sad

It is done by the same animators and directors of Gundam Zero, Afro Samurai, and Basilisk series. Not sure how good any of them are but apparently their artwork is quite nice, very gritty,darkish, and subtle. a massive improvement from street fighter 4 the ties that bind's artwork(also in the plot department as well)
Plus NO ONE, I repeat NO ONE has a major detailed story in a fighting game. They got too many characters to deal with and only have so much time to spend on each. I've never seen Ryu have a major detailed story either and that's the breaks for stuff that's marketed for kids like Transformers for example. I never said it was supposed to be a Shakespeare tale.
For some reason, every street fighter anime i watch, i imagine Ryu coming out of no where and beat the enemy.

Oh gimme a break. He had all of the Alpha anime given to him on a silver platter. It was disgusting and rude to the fans of other characters. All it had in it (I'm pretty sure) was Ryu, Ken, Chun Li and Akuma! I'm not running down you being a fan of him, but I was happy to see him left outta one of the anime's for once! He's given waaaay to much attention. I know he's the main hero and everything, but it's a multiverse storyline and I've seen Spider-Man show up less in his own comic! LOL

Interpol was unaware of Juri and FSE before the whole incident at the beginning. C.Viper has the technology to track down Juri. Chun-Li inquired who was able to provide such accurate information on Juri, and then the snippet of C.Viper clearly demonstrates her role in this plot.
What character development did we see here? Juri is crazy ok? We see this from start to freakin finish. Big whoop. We didnt get a back story on how she grew up, how she became a fighter, nothing of the sort.
@monksters1 mean like SFV? the full length anime talks about how ryu learned the hadoken and learned to control it? a bit more then that but yea have one involves ryu and ken.

It doesn't seem choppy to me. In fact, it seems much lessy choppy compared to the other Street Fighter IV movie, I guess I must not be paying attention to the details enough.
This is going to be continue as it follows on with the storyline from the game of SSFIV. I wouldn't be surprised if Ryu and Ken shows up in the next part.
It only happened twice and it can only be a running gag if it happens more than two times.

I DO see your point and I agree it pissed me off too. All I was trying to say was (no disrespect intended for Ryu and Ken fans) is that Ryu and Ken's story has been done to death. It's been revisited enough times to make George Lucas seem mild with his revisions of the old Star Wars. I'm just saying it's nice to see other characters and not just hearing more of the same stuff we already know about Ken or Ryu.
But I guess that wasn't the point of all this-to touch on another commentator, this was just to show off a new character the creators' favored/had high hopes for. I'd also heard there was a bit of an uproar from South Korea over there not being any Korean world warriors introduced to the series yet. I was just pleased as punch to see Cammy on screen for more than a minute & actually contributing.

Ray Incredible well neither of them accomplished what they set out for, which was to kill bison and destroy shadowlaw. so you could say that them failing in this movie is a pretty acurate portrayal of them.
You can say that but you can also say that Capcom will not allow one the of their flagship franchises to die so easily. Guile, Cammy, Chun Li and by extension some other characters want to kill Bison but he is too powerful for them and too valuable to Capcom.
I still love Juri.

Im sorry if i sounded one sided for Ryu and Ken. I have this thing about new characters if they are bad ok, but to have them beat on well known characters of a series when they are way under the main bad guy and is carried by some outside force that is not based on their own talent and brags about it I tend not to like them cause I feel it is a half ass effort. Bison I can understand but even still there were times someone like Guile put up a good fight against him even though he would lose.

Your kidding me right first off, I find it fresh also to see new characters but ones that are only strong through technology oh please been there done that a thousand times so uninteresting. Only thing is she is crazy...WOW -_- Also Ryu and Ken have been training their whole lives and Ken got married something most of the characters even Ryu go through which is called a normal life but anyway you clearly forget the Satsui No hadou surpasses that even the Psyhco drive

I like this but I hate trash characters that gotta use artificial powers. They don't rely on their own strength. Without that eye she'd be garbage and everybody would've kicked the crap out of her!
The only reason Cammy didn't win that match, was because of the height restriction nerf to her TKCS. =/

And it DOESN'T have to be Cammy either (my personal fav) if they wanted to do one about Fei Long, Dhalsim, Vega or somebody else, that's cool too. It's just ENOUGH with the Ryu and Ken stuff already Capcom! We know everything there is to know about these guys! lol

That is true if you consider the game and the OVA as one entity - but standing on its own, what happened here is that the villain was such a dire threat that the protagonists could not defeat her. And, well, that's fine in itself, but then they should make their defeat interesting, not just show the villain kicking the protagonists' buts over and over again without resistance. That is repetitive and boring.
What's a Street Fighter OVA without good fights? THAT is what wastes the viewers' time.

@monksters1 they did 1 about street fighter and it is only available in arabic and english languages but it is hard to make an anime a good show when it is developed from a game, it needs a good director to make it looks great

It's a GOOD thing to see other character development. They teach you that in writing and literature classes.
Talk about ridiculous. It's fine that they want to show off Juri's "awesome powers" in this OVA, but they make it look like she's some boss character when in the actual game she's pretty far from it.
Juri having a much closer fight with Cammy in the end wouldn't have changed the outcome, but would have provided a much more satisfying closure to the story.

Watch SF4 Prologue's and Endings. Then Watch SSF4:AE's Prologue's and endings. Theres clearly a timeline.
example Balrog. Prologue SF4: Bison contacts him, SSF4 He's told about the mission. Endings SF4 he finds a kid in the base SSF4 he leaves the base with the kid.
They overlap each other but its different parts to the same story. All SF games do this I mention C.Viper because she didnt matter in SSF4 but did in SF4
What does it Matter :) Maybe its just a running gag indeed...and Sakura is beaten and Hospitilized in one movie too..i think it was in Alpha...its called Street Fighter and theres always a nemesis and a Hero called Ryu or Ken, and the support characters which ChunLi just is in a Medium outside of the game however Awesom she is:)..in DBZ for example major heros get beaten or destroyed ALL the time crawling till they get a bean or wished back:)like our Popular Vegeta hahaha its almost funny:)
