See, the goal of faith is to be... faith. That's the one thing that separates faith from what we are talking about - opinion. Faith does not require opinions. Nor does faith require facts. Don't ever listen to the "faith without deeds is worthless", it's a paraphrase of "call to arms". So, in fact, if you believe in god - you don't need to care whether some asshole does not. You don't need a religion that brings you the best literature to describe a god. And you do not need some historical proof of Jesus' existence of the scientifically confirmed existence of miracles. Now back to the opinion, and to the problem of it. While it is true that freedom of opinion has recently caused a lot of shit and it's not blameless itself. But philosophy existed before the freedom of opinions, and while I admit - your description of it is "sharp" - your goal is unclear. See, if you like wiki, then here you go: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philosophy Opinion, as basic as it gets, is ultimately an argument of a colorblind person with a normal person over how does a rose look. Philosophy, on the other hand, seeks the reason why they even argue. And since, I assume, what triggered you was the wording of the line "Seth's philosophy on humans" - let me explain: Seth's opinion would've been "you suck, because you are a coward and cowards fear power". Well, could be said in a more rhetoric tone, but the point would be direct. Seth, on the other hand, talked exactly about why does Ryu seek power, how do humans live, what to do with power. Yes, technically philosophy could be called an opinion. Any philosophy. From pseudo to the most prominent. But that's why I said it is dangerous to discredit these terms - you lose the point of it all. As I said in the first post - everything can be brought down to opinions. Yet some opinions emerge as laws. Some as morals. Some as scientific discoveries. Some as doctrines and standards. That's the bane of XXI century - what used to be set in stone - is turned into opinion and devalued. So while a normal person automatically, instinctively defined Seth's monologue as philosophy, the "overt perspective" of something - you degraded it into opinion. I could assume you simply disagree, but I suppose you are above such tactics. You probably thought that his "opinion" is nothing special, despite what people tout here as something "interesting". And this, ultimately, is... I know I'm derailing too much, but point is a point... the reason why not everything can be an opinion. Think about democracy, why was it so popular, yet so false. People believed they had a voice in it, they had their opinions and they mattered. Yet it only turned out into social war. Because if some opinions end up winning - this automatically means the others are wrong. Just because of the numbers, not facts or principles. This is why there exist other terms, philosophy among them - to mean something else, to be more than just "opinion". It's your choice of how to perceive it, granted, but it's not your choice of how to call it. Civilization has evolved, because some opinions stood stronger than the others, for good reason, and if we start calling everything "opinions" - we'll be no better than monkeys screaming at each other in a zoo. P.S.: If anything, I support your position about facts. That's the difference between an opinion and... everything else. In this context, for example, how this thread went from the beginning - while Seth has spoken clearly and, like you, very sharply, it was perceived as philosophy. Ryu, on the other hand, blabbered something "evil, protecting good, ultimate power" and got a power-up. That was... well, it wasn't exactly enough to be called an opinion.
Interesting speech and great voice work from Seth. Ironically, the power to move forward is what Ryu finally attains with the "Power of Nothingness," the COUNTER to the Satsui no Hadou, and the power that defeats not only Seth, but his creator M.Bison. Both Seth and Bison have the same philosophy that "power is power," but neither realized they picked the wrong power.
Ken: Don't worry ladies, he's fine. I mean when has being brutally assaulted while your head is lodged in a metal rafter ever been something to worry about?

Seth by far is one of my favorite street fighter characters to date! Not to mention how cool it is to play as him. Plus that copy move thing that he/she does.
I heard both Seth and Ryu's point of view on power. Seth sees power as this thing that can be used to be better than someone else. That humans have the need to have power in their lives. The poor seek riches. The deformed seek beauty. There is some truth to what Seth is saying about power. It's true that poor people would like to be more financially stable. It's true that people with deformities want to look like everyone else. But the way you go about it matters from a moral point of view. Resorting to violence when you don't get your way is destructive to yourself and to the people around you. Ryu had the right idea. Because you can get power, but you have to get it the right way. The poor can work to become financially stable. The deformed can get plastic surgery to improve their appearance. I understand those things aren't easy for them to get, but, when there's a will there's a way. I've heard a lecture on philosophy and read an article about power. And they taught me many things about power. But the most important thing I've learned about power is that what you do with it, shows how moral or amoral you are, depending on what you do with that power. If you use that power to manipulate and trick people into giving you money that shows your amoral. If you use that power to help people become doctors or lawyers or help them lose weight if there obese, that shows that you have morals. Power is a social construct in our world.
Strengthening Your neck is one thing, but Ryu was not only hanging from his neck (which by itself is very bad) he was also being punched and kicked while he was still hanging. His body is constantly twisting all over the place from the constant barrage of attacks. It doesn't matter how much strength you have in your neck its not designed to twist all over the place without it breaking. We aren't owls dude. Ryu should've been dead just from that. But to make it even worse, Seth Kicks Ryu in the head HARD while he's falling head first in mid air, breaking his neck for sure (you can even her the snap of his neck from that nasty kick). Like I said above there's being tough and there's just plan stupid. And this has got to be the biggest example of stupid and WTF mixed together >:(
Ryu has been wondering why he keeps travelling; he searches for strenght but rejects the strongest power in existance; he wants discipline but he doesn't know what he'll do with it; he wants to do good but he can't help anybody if he remains by himself; he wants friends but the satsui no hado makes him a danger to them. He constantly struggles with this vicious cycle while seth simply does what he wants because he has the power to do so and believes this to be human nature . As he fights him he realizes that he needs to have the discipline to continue his journey so that he may find his own strenght so that he may teach others to find their own and maybe that way he can do some good. Patience is a form of strenght.
You understand Ryu's character very well, and the battle here is shown What epic words from your friend, it is an internal struggle that Ryu is in search of strength, to do good and to free the world from evil. However, first on his journey he must be the one to free himself from internal evil and his demon Akuma.
+Phillip Romar bruh don't u get it they stood back because they knew it was ryu's fight and stepping in would be an insult to him and what he fights for

Vega: I Bring You A Message From Lord Bison. You Put On The Fantastic Show. Seth: You! Vega: He's Been Watching You All Along. He Has Another Message For You As Well. S.I.N.'s Success As Come Only Through The Manipulation Of Shadaloo Working Behind The Scenes To Ensure You Good Fortune. He Wanted To Know That.
Good thing Ryu resolved NOT to use Satsui No Hadou, but instead the Mu No Ken (Fist of Nothingness). Ken called it earlier on when he rescued Eliza, Gouken taught Ken well. The Metsu Hadouken Ryu used was infused with the Mu No Ken, explaining as to why Ryu started to grow out of league.
But the Metsu Hadoken Ryu used to defeat Seth here also was fueled somewhat by the Power of Nothingness, but just a small portion of it since Ryu hadn't learned to master it just yet.
Wasn't a metsu hadouken, wouldn't make sense since metsu implies Satsui No Hadou. I think this was a shin hadouken; it has the ability to disintegrate evil power, just like ryu does in SF5 to bison.
Umair Butt Thing is, Umair, the Metsu Hadoken Ryu uses in Street Fighter IV is him channeling the Satsui no Hado, BUT without succumbing to it thanks to his also partially tapping into the Power of Nothingness, so the Metsu Hadoken also doesn't use the killing power of the Satsui no Hado. But it DOES put some strain on Ryu's body when he uses it.
I agree with Umair, the Metsu techniques derive from Satsui... it also shows a purple colour to it... But then again, Shin Shoryuken and Denjin are Mu No techniques. He's reverted to Shinkuu and Denjin in SFV so hope they bring back Shin Shoryuken too!
You must know that you're in trouble when your enemy LETS you hit him. I would worry if my enemy lets me hit him. It's the same thing for "Dragon Ball".
Damn I got chills and goosebumps. That is the power of anime's storytelling. I dont get why people hate on "weebs" when anime has more quality than modern day cartoons, movies and tv shows? I mean hell we get a new horror movie EVERY WEEK and only a certain amount of movie can measure up. But there's something about anime that actually has QUALITY to it. It actually entertains, has effort and sure some of the plot is basic and yet it delivers so much more. Ryu's speech gave me goosebumps and I rarely get like that. Anime gives me a feeling of entertainment and its just annoying that people hate on others just because they watch it.
This battle is deeply epic along with these dialogues. My favorite movie, only I like SF Alpha the Animation Movie 1999 and SF 2 Animation Movie from 94 more and then this one! Legendary Street Fighter, its franchise and its animes, Capcom should continue releasing movies or better yet an anime now that SF 6 is being a success in sales and in terms of competition.
I guess I can see from both sides of Ryu and Seth. Seth believes that power comes from violence and domination over one another. Ryu believes that power comes from within yourself, the will to do what is right and to make the world a better place. Not only were their fists colliding, but their believes on power were colliding too. That made the fight more intresting.
Love him or hate him, his speech about his goals was pretty damn powerful...

@Dauntless Warrior found the kid
Love the end comments when Seth and Ryu fight.
.
"That is why I fight. To rid the world of such diabolical power".
This battle is Epic and legendary
This battle is deeply epic along with these dialogues.
Seth by far is one of my favorite street fighter characters to date! Not to mention how cool it is to play as him. Plus that copy move thing that he/she does.
2:04 Seth cuts better promos than most superstars in WWE today😂😭😂
Sadly that's true
Extremely true.
100% correct
Roman reigns
So true its funny
Summarizing, the correct way to use the power is to protect the weak.
What about ryu thanks for explanation
i like in 4:30 speech of Ryu of the power i like it
How the hell did Ryu survive hanging by his neck for that long?
Because he is ryu
Well I mean have you seen how buff his neck is?
Because he's the poster boy of Street Fighter
Neck is a muscle I know a guy who do martial arts and hang themselves to strengthen their neck.
And this has got to be the biggest example of stupid and WTF mixed together >:(
I kinda like it when fighting games and anime wax poetic like this. I'm just that guy.
1:57 Ken: Stay back! Ryu's being beaten to death. We can watch safely from here.
Seth supposed to have low health. Lol
Seth is back in SFV! LET'S GO!!!
TBH , Seth's definition of power is more real in our world than Ryu's version.
6:15
“How could this happen to me?”
“I’ve made my mistakes”
“Got no where to run”
“The night goes as, as I’m fading away”
Ryu struggled with seth.
Ryu is presumably the best fighter.
Juri one shotted seth.
juri lost to a fcking schoolgirl.
ok...
Which schoolgirl?
+NinjaWorldWarrior16 sakura?
feliciano ibon jimenez I don't even remember Juri fighting Sakura.
At this point. Ryu was by no means the best fighter. There were still a lot of people stronger than him.
PAKISTANW LOGIC!!!!! :D
That was awesome after many years this scene is still cool seeing ryu with the power of nothingness.
Can Ryu win this battle?!
SURERYUCAN!
shouyken
He was making a joke obvious
That joke is so old now
good one
@Jordon Yearwood I see what you did there
Lmao I love how Ryu is getting fucked up and everyone is like "Let's grab some seats"
Its fight!!
Even my friends know not too get involved with my fights!! Nit many people would understand!!
You understand Ryu's character very well, and the battle here is shown
What epic words from your friend, it is an internal struggle that Ryu is in search of strength, to do good and to free the world from evil. However, first on his journey he must be the one to free himself from internal evil and his demon Akuma.
I like how literally everyone knows about the Satsui no hado
That thumbnail is every man reaction when they seen seth in sf5
Ryu's cheerleaders team aren'tt doing anything. They are watching him getting beat up like a bunch of cowards.
Dude, they came from the side of the stage then got a seat. Lol. His friends suck.
+Phillip Romar bruh don't u get it they stood back because they knew it was ryu's fight and stepping in would be an insult to him and what he fights for
+Mario Duncan Mario, if you was my best friend and you was fighting somebody who was trying to kill you, I'd step in if you looked like you was loosing. Especially if you was about to get killed. Not to double team him but to at least stop the fight.
i guess i see what u mean there but sometimes I like to think like Zoro (one piece) no better how bad I'm losing don't step in no matter what u see what I mean
+Mario Duncan Yeah. Lol. I feel ya. That's respect. A little stubborn but respectable. That means you're going out like a man. That's tougher that me.
8:26 , Sakura: *S E N P A I noticed me!!!*
5:56 looks like Ryu did a kamehameha
RafyMKX Someone got some training from roshi
onda vitaaaal
More like galick gun
nah dude, thats a black kamehameha
It is be a hadoken
Oh hell yeah. A tactical genius that can take care of himself and inspire people to eat nachos in a penguin suit.
Ryu: I fight to rid the world of such diabolical power! I'll show you what true strength.
Me: Now that's what I call a true warrior! 🥳🥳🥳
Seth: How.... How Could This Happen? You Actually Hurt Me!
3:40 wow, talk about projection (as in psychological projection) from seth...
Ryu defeating Seth is pure epicness!
Too epic!!
Ken and ryu had the biggest bro moment in the whole series
Where Seth seeks power at any costs Ryu seeks the power beyond that, to have power the right way and for the right reasons.
Seth is the cell of street fighter tbh
Glad I’m not the only one who thinks that.
Ryu: I’m not finished.
Seth: 😐
Ken: No girls, we cannot get in! He is the protagonist, please!
You have to say ryu is better written in the sf games than in the comics and stuff
"If money does not work we resort to violence!"
Love Seth Or Hate Seth
we admit that this fight was the best of the OVA
😊 Great to see an old classic.
Me: "If you want his power, beat up Cammy to awake Ryu's Satsui ni Hado again, Seth... Lol..."
Best story writing since 85..
Freakin AWESOME!!! Intense Movie and the dialogue for the movie was awesome!!!
Ryu:wise words,
A true lesson in life
I cant believe hadoken can destroy wall, but it can't break a damn car
It’s that strong ?
Well that’s 8 minutes and 44 seconds I’ll never get back
That tech throw into ultra 😍
why do ryu's eyebrows go over his headband?
Ikr. How does he do it?!
It's just like how Goku's hair is always flipping sides XD
Its the power of nothingness!
cos it's anime, and anime is Japan
I think his eyebrows end before they separate and then it branches out and separated
03:50 to 4:51 ryu had awesome dioluag
YES ❤
5:58 Seth: What.....Is......This.......POWER?!!!!
THIS IS SPARTAA!
+Juses Crust (Teh Messaya) hezus crust trn mai piss entu whyn plz

Juses Crust hezus plz. y u do dis?
Dinzel Walker-Smith bcuz Spodermen sed
seth nonstop talking reminds me on agent smith
1:48-1:55 imposible that ryu can be still alive xD his head should be fall of cause its endless twisted xD
Ryu: "SHORYUKEN!!!!"
Seth: "No, you can't."
Good voice work and the script is awesome as well.
He mastered power of nothingness after the events of sf4 and in sf5. This hadoken was simply a metsu hadoken.
He's reverted to Shinkuu and Denjin in SFV so hope they bring back Shin Shoryuken too!
when RYU begins monologuing, you know the end is near....
Lol at the end the hadouken made me think kamehamehaaaaa
Well Kyle Hebert voiced Ryu in this game and adult Gohan in Dragonball.
Agreed. It's a rundown of what TRUE power is.
You must know that you're in trouble when your enemy LETS you hit him. I would worry if my enemy lets me hit him. It's the same thing for "Dragon Ball".
I still have yet to find why critics hate Seth. This video just made it harder to find out.
the morale of this episode: DONT MESS WITH RUY :D
*Ryu
true friends never help you out when you are in trouble
this was a pretty good movie, i was like damn at the ending and i hope they make another one
just play sfv story mode
@@gamefails743 Since my comment 13 years ago, I definitely have played SFV story mode lmao.
I liked how he was hangin from the ceiling.
"He wanted you to know that." Dang, Vega makes that sound really cool.
I'm mad they never brought the Collectro's edition here X(
Thank you for uploading this. This is delicious.
2:00 This puts away everyone's doubt that Seth was a great villain.
This fight was = An ass kicking, 2 speeches & an ultra LOL!
He wants to absorb it. Akuma wants to fight it to test his and Ryu's strength.
Mun!
