I didn't see any armed officers rushing to check the reins of the horse. Many thanks to the tourist who spotted an issue that we might not have been able to see from the video.
Re: the headline. Nobody was "swift", nobody "RUSHed", and nobody pointed out that this poor horse was in obvious distress. SHAME!
Stop being so afraid of doing your job.
Those horses are treated better than most people.
The guards always make sure they protect the horses with every person that goes near them. You can hear them over and over telling people not to touch the horse, don't feed them, don't touch the reins. For the people who can't read the sign.
God bless everyone and the guards who not only protect the Royal family but their horses also.
👉 The training and patience of the horses is always astonishing !!! 💙🐴💙
I was so grateful, in 1980 to see the Queen at Horse Guards Parade, will be with me forever, these men are the Epitome of Soldiers, thank you. greetings from Ex-pat in Cyprus. 🙏🙏🤗🤗
Where on earth did this happen? Tourist rushes to show there's something wrong with the reins??? At what exact point in the video???
At 10:10 a civilian with a beard and pushing a lady in a wheelchair approaches and points to the side of his own jaw while talking with the mounted guard. While the tourist is speaking, one of the armed police officers walks up, assesses the situation, then backs the crowd away so horse and rider can leave the area. It may have been in response to the comments by the tourist, or it may have simply been time for them to exit for the end of shift inspection. Regardless, it was "immediate" in context with the tourist, and this is when it all happened.
I'm a minimally experienced equestrian, so I'm not certain, but it appeared from the horse's body language that there was a problem with the fitment of the bit...or the horse might have needed more training. Either way, the bit/bridle was definitely bothering the horse to the point of making it agitated. This "tourist" seemed to be trying to communicate the same idea to the mounted guard. It is easy to miss because the "tourist" is being somewhat low-key and keeping his distance in an apparent attempt to show respect for the location and situation.
@@NT5RA_Still_Learning Thank you so much for your explanation 👍
@@NT5RA_Still_Learning I noticed that the chain that goes up to the bit was behind the leather breast collar, unlike that of the other horse's tack. It might have made it feel odd for the horse. In the inspection the officer talked to that Guard more than the other Guard. The officer might have noticed it too.
The guard should of realised that the horses “ bit” had moved…luckily it seem the horse managed to relocate it back in place….🇬🇧👍
I’ve noticed the horses quite often are biting on the bit a lot in quite a lot of the videos I’ve watched, that’s a sign of nervousness or discomfort. Why are these horses constantly put in situations like this? Who wants to be hounded by tourists 24/7, we as humans wouldn’t want that, so why put a horse through that?
Or its just a horse playing with the bit like many do when standing still tacked up
The horse isn’t out 24/7, why on earth would you think that?
@shirleyanneyoung955 how would you know are you there 24 /7. No you are not this horse is clearly stressed about something.
@@user-ld4xq9nh3s Bless your heart sweetie, it’s so cute that you think I’d need to be there 24/7 to know that each horse isn’t out there 24/7. 🤣🤣🤣 Fact - the horses are changed every hour in front of anyone and everyone who happens to be watching at the time. Fact - no horses are out all night, so no 24/7 duty. I think the last horse comes in at either 4 or 5 pm. It’ll all be documented on google somewhere, you could have found it out for yourself since you were so concerned for this fictional horse who was on duty 24/7. And you thought I’d need to be there 24/7 to know what goes on, oh dear. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
They are on duty one hour per day......and I don't know if it's daily.
I have always been a sucker for dapple grays. They can be stunning .
I call them rocking horses 😅 beautiful 😍
Those horses are magnificent 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Didn't see any " rushing " and there was nothing wrong with his reins , the lady Trooper is one of the most experienced and a superb horsewoman if anything was wrong she would know .
I agree with you.
Welll this lady Trooper is having an "off" day then; because shes making some rookie mistakes. Ill fitting tack is the issue. The bit is way to large for this horses mouth. 8:46, 9:10, 9:17 time stamps show how big the bit is. Its causing the horse discomfort. He keeps chomping at the bit and moving around because he's trying to get it positioned better in his mouth, in the center of his mouth.
The bit keeps moving side to side. A smaller sized bit will not allow side to side movement like that. And then you can hear metal clanging together. Thats from this large bit clanging against the snaffle bit behind it. With this being a double bridle, it's crucial that proper fit and proper sized bits are being used. If not, this can cause sores and blisters inside the horses mouth and around the lip area.
And then the next thing is that her swords sheath was getting in the way of her left spur. She was trying to back him back into the guard house and he wasn't reponding to her leg cues on the left side. When she does get him back inside, you will see her look down at her left boot a couple of times, baffled why he wasn't responding to her cue. These are all basic things that even least experienced riders should know.
When those people mentioned the reins, what was happening was that the bit slid all the way to the riders right side, causing the ornate metal cheekpiece on the left to go into the horses mouth. Thats the whole reason why the horse was being fussy and agitated.
Something IsWrong with the tack .... the martingale strap connecting to the headstall is NOT connected properly , it should be connected to the same ring the silver chain is. Someone goofed and the horse suffered. I suspect that someone will be read the riot act 😢
Didn't look like the inspection caught the problem either..... not good....
Looked ok to me. He was chomping at the bit and ready to get off duty. Known the feeling.
Could anyone tell me why they dont use rubber shoes i know they exist and it seems like being on hard surface it would be more healthy for the joints ?
Os guardas da Rainha estão sempre impecáveis.
The lady trooper was trying to reassure the horse until the police eventually arrivied and the tourist who asked if the trooper needed help. Looks like it was a tack problem the horse had. The Captain or the Lieutenant asked questions more than anyone else. A nit late in the day. But the lady trooper is very experienced with any horse she rides.
What is it about that left hand box that upset some of the horse when using that box.
Uniforms shiny and clean, sword same, but the building needs a coat of paint and filler, not to mention the shit in the arch the horses have to stand in! What sort of display is it when dirty in front of public? So many times these horses play up, and no wonder in these conditions and often with a wrongly placed bit, as in this case. As with any horse, if a rider is on it, it is more comfortable for the horse to walk about than to be standing almost still, for some time especially an hour! If you try carrying a load on your back, in proportion to your size , of course and stand still it wont be as easy as walking , circulation and alternative muscles in use.
Now if they were to have rottweiler guards, not the riders although some sound like they are, they would not have to remove them as soon as a protest came along, nor would any visitor go near them.
The buildings are not painted .
There had to be something wrong that horse was very figgity and kept chewing on something like it was bothering him.
Those bits are rediculous
The ring on one side of the bridle was in the horse's mouth, rather than along side it's face. Poor thing!
You can😢see he's in pain. Pawing and chewing and shaking his head. Poor horses. 😢
Some were saying nothing wrong
He might have something minor wrong, yes.. However they have the Kings best animal Vets on duty and are taken in at any minor sign of discomfort... All these "experts" who actually know *nothing annoy me as a British person. The assumption and negativity shows the state of their own minds!!
@@emmsue1053 so agree.
I think they should have someone come around more often to clean the horse shit from the guard post poor horses have to stand in that to long !!!!
I did not see any swift Acton ?
There is a small cadre of video makers here. It is not uncommon for them to take note a mount giving it’s trooper a hard time and tipping off the police about it. The same is true foe Gates-man too, I know John of London City Walks is a frequent aid.
❤ all these posts makes me want to go to London for a weekend
He had his tongue over his bit the rider should have noticed this its very uncomfortable for the horse
Why I prefer bit-less ..
This may well indicate the bridle is too loose and needs to be cinched up a notch on the strap going down the check. Also checking that the bit is in the mouth properly in between the teeth.
What exactly is wrong with reins. He has a martingale on. But I don't see it. It is not your job.
This program is always a mess as they never show you what is supposed to have happened. It's a scam always.
So much yelling. Such an easy solution. Paint and half circle with a beautiful Crest. The Tourists are not to cross and horses have something to look at.
I did NOT see any officer RUSHING over to help with anything. What a crock of $&(t. That horse was obviously upset about something, it seemed as if the bit might have been out of place. But the poor horse got NO help!
Something is wrong with the bit in the horse's mouth
Why do the troopers wack the necks n sides of horse .... sometimes seem quite a hard wack
I think it's not necessary, the horse knows the routine when the rider will dismount, sometimes it's a whack and three quarters.
Part of the routine,
"Hey, horse, I'm getting
off now.."(loud whack
on hotse's neck)🤚.
Horse : " Yes, yes,
I know ! And stop
whacking so hard,
please !
Struth, that was a
boring hour in that
smelly box.. Trojan's
peed in there again....."
See you back at the
stable, get this metal
thing out of my mouth ..😠.
how would you like it?"
Are the oats ready ?
I want berry granola..."
🇬🇧🐎🌹🐎💙😢🐎🇬🇧
Great to see ty for your service 💂🐎🌟🤗💖
Why are they not fixing the mouth piece you can see its bothering the horse
why do they slap the horse?
To let the horse know the weight is shifting (I'm assuming you're referring to the dismount?) Cheers 😊
If you blow up the picture. You can see the chain coming down around horses chest, is caught under the rein that attaches under the horses neck.
That's not a rein its the breastplate that is attached to the saddle to stop it slipping , the chain is a tether chain used to attach the horses to a line in campaign days so they could be fed and watered safely together . It will cause no problems .
@@kathellison8084exactly its a tie down and is not causing any concern
Nice clear day. 👍
Thanks 👍
🥰❤ Looking forward to your next live! Miss you! 🥰❤
Tonight
Seems that the big beauty had an issue and was a wee bit stressed about something. Brilliant control by the guard
Yeah, good question. Why do you keep shutting it off and turning it on stop?
Poor horse, how long do they have to stand there in little cubby hole thing?
They are only there for one hour xx
Where are the horse's blinders? He's seeing way too much activity and it's freaking him out.
Can't they tell the horses hate those bits! ... I don't know if they don't use them right or what. But you can see they are not comfortable with them, ever!
I love all the comment from people who never stood a duty watch in their lives .RCN Ret.
The man said something was wrong with the positioning of the bit, not the reins.
Why do the Household cavalry not have their ranks on their uniforms, they have trade badges so why not ranks it would be so much easier to identify them than the shoulder cords which confuse the hell out of most people?
WHAT DID THE ARMED OFFICERS DO? THE HORSE IS VERY STRESSED,
Nothing, as per usual!
The horse was getting restless! Poor horse...
RIDER Should have realised horse was in distress ..most riders would, im surprised he didnt.
The reins are caught on his chest .but there was no one rushing to help and no one pointed anything out. They weren't to far from changing the guards . the horse is fighting the bit. Ready to go . the guard was more worried about his boot being scuffed than his horse being in stressed as they were getting ready to go
The reins are not caught up on his chest, thats a tie down that goes from the throat latch on the bridle to the breast collar
There definitely IS something wrong with the reins set-u[p. Those bits they use seem like theyre 10 times too large for the horse and they actually gag occasionall when
The horses know when their hour is up and get restless sometimes.
That horse is obviously in pain. Producing excessive saliva is a clue.
The chain is a garbled mess. It is caught on the breast strap.
Why did the female trooper smack the horse’s neck and side before she got off of him?
At last it is 4pm i can get out of here
Thought the dismount was a bit sloppy by the second guard.
The horse that was acting up had the chain behind the leather breast collar. Could that have cased the acting up?
are theses Met Officers ? if so how do you know the difference?
Horses dislike standing for so long, nether would you.
It would be so nice to have a bit of commentary as to what is happening. Especially for people who are not present.
Why smacking the horse before getting off?
Beautiful video. 💜
Omg they didn't care about thenpoor horse just putting on the ritz
His tongue is over his bit.
Just a bait to click on the story
Its the horses bit piece , not the reins.
I thought they closed the king guards
This is not the first time these horses have resins problems. These horse are always working their mouth in distressed.
That horse is in pain, what are you talking about, something is definately wrong because he is trying to get his bit out of his mouth...
Some really stupid comments from people who know absolutely nothing about horses! These are expert riders, and the horses get the best of care. Some overemotional soul wanted them all turned loose! Lord protect us from that mentality!
They are not the real king and queen they are impostors
Look like the bit is upside down or backwards
Horse hiding to the side.
No Union Jack, no sub. UK better wake the F up.
Ele ou ela chega a se esconder , quando os responsaveis vao entender que eles não querem ficar de atração pra turistas😢😢😢
I don't know horses at all. But the horse was a bit irritated. When he went deep into the box, he looks a bit calmer. But not for long. But I must say that the horses are awesome and beautiful and the guards are great
Horse bit not right and he still don’t go in right away now his mouth will hurt. And the cop don’t get anyone still to help horse
Some people truly love excitement what is their problem
Why do you lie , officer did not rush swiftaly .
Is the guard purposely trying to make the other guards laugh?
The horse is uneasy, but other than that I did not see anything wrong.
The horse is counting!!!
These Guards do a Wonderful Job.British Army you cant beat them.THEY ARE Men with a Capital M. Good Luck to them all.❤❤❤❤❤ 7:32
& Women
Why do the guards hit the horse when dismount
To let the horse know that the weight is going to be different
@@raeleneastell1059 thank you that makes a lot of sense. They are such beautiful and well trained horses
You are more than welcome , yes they are beautiful horses. Big gentle giants , even the guards look like major teddy bears,
@@raeleneastell1059 Are you saying that the horse cannot tell when the guardsmen dismounts that there is no human on its back? I highly doubt that the animal is that oblivious to a 160 to 180 lb human is weighing down its back.
Of course the horse knows the weight is different. But for some reason it's the way they are trained, my horses always had a gentle pat on the neck after a ride .
I enjoy watching these, buy so many times the title is misleading. 🤨
PP: when I was at Guildford I had to bully the shoes of my NCO's, when I became an NCO I still did my own bullying!! ❤❤
What was the point in all this?
I know next to nothing about horses or tack so I don't know if there was anything wrong or not. I just know this video was as long and basically boring as most of the others of it's kind, and also, most of the titles are exaggerated.
Poor horse, has a bad hair day, acts accordingly and gets laughed at by the Kings Armed Guard.. 🐴❤
It does look like the bit is wonky
Don't make up titles to get views. Where was the rushing?
Horse is ready for some exercise lol
I’d love to take a lawn chair and just sit for a whole day watching the guards.
🐎💂🐎💂🐎💂🐎💂🐎💂🐎💂
I dont like this slapping bit that they do to the horses
At 10:18
that rider was not paying attention to his horse the horse was in pain and it took a tourist to point it out..i hope that rider/handler is sent back to horse school and learns how to spot the issue's and signs of the horse in distress and if that rider does not learn he should be forbidden to ride horses
I feel so sorry for these poor horses, a life in bondage!
looks like he might have colic
I really wish they would stop using these horses like this. They obviously are not comfortable most of the time.
Would you rather they plow with them? 🤣
Clickbate
What a bunch of HORSE CRAP!! All that money wasted on such NONSENSE.... only in Britain!
Poor horse, he's letting you know something is wrong but no one is listening. I feel so bad for these horses.
This sideshow for tourists sucks. WTF is the government thinking? Looks like a cheap version of Disney meets Chuckie zcheese.
