If the console is turned off for a while and I turn it on the display will turn on as well but after a few minutes -> blackscreen again...... Any idea what to do?

    I know that your procedure for chip replacement is to use leaded solder to clean up the old solder. Then, in a "balling" type chip surface, I don't see you adding new solder to the board.
    Though you wick up the old solder, are you showing us that there is still enough solder on the ballings to make a good connection?
    I mean it is obvious that it was as the device worked after your chip replacement but I am still confused as you didn't reball the board's surface.

    • @NorthridgeFix
      @NorthridgeFix  2 года назад +4

      The new chip already comes reballed. You don't add solder on the board

    I have a Samsung 850 evo 2.5 ssd. That works and then randomly reboots essentially. Causes os on it to bsod or data writing to it to say drive disconnected try again or cancel on file copy. It does it at random.... took the ssd apart and only thing I see is a cap with a whitish V in center of it. No other cap looks like that. So I'm assuming I have a defective cap causing unstable power.... thoughts?

    My Switch does this. I have to let the battery die and then charge the switch and my black screen is gone. So I'm not sure what you did actually fixed the problem. You were working on it for so long the batter could have finally lost power.
    The power button doesn't even work on my switch so it's always in standby. I think this is why I have this problem, but I think the switch is trash so I am not paying anyone to fix it.
