Hello, Today I am reviewing the Bosch Silence Plus dishwasher. I purchased this with my own money and I am giving a honest review about how well it cleans my dishes.
Best dishwasher I have owned. 6 years now. Bosch Ascenta. Easier to install, easier than a Whirlpool or Hotpoint and such. Drys fine even with the plastic bottom.
Glad to see someone has had success; have had mine for over six months, tried EVERYTHING, just unloaded, a typical load...RESULT: 5 Bowls, 1 Spoon, 1 Cup, and 2 Plates have to be rewashed, i.e. HANDWASHED...that's about average! I'd show a picture/video if I knew how. I know it looks good, but bottom line...at least the 500 series…SUCKS.
Alison, i really like the instrumental guitar song you have in tge beginning of your videos. Can I get the name and composer of the song? By the way, I think the actual model you are reviewing is called the "Bosch Ascenta"
Is this your first dishwasher? Your soap dispenser always opens on its own so that the soap is deposited in the wash at the correct time and the soap is washed out of the soap dispenser. This has been a feature of dishwashers ever since a dishwashing powder/liquid/pod container was invented.
My previous dishwasher had to be reopened at the end of the cycle. The soap dissolved through an opening but you had to manually open the container after it finished its cycle. It was an extremely old dishwasher, though.
The crystal dry equipped bosch’s do. I was shocked at the difference between the Bosch we had without crystal dry, to the one that replaced it that had the feature. Even on plastics
Why would you care. You take the dishes out on a rack and let it dry or just leave it inside over night. Or god forbid, wipe one plate with a cloth because you ran out of plates to eat from.
Bosch Dishwashers? All kidding aside, worst god damn dishwasher I have ever owned and I'm 67. On AVERAGE 1/3 of dishes do not get clean, regardless of how or where they are positioned...after six month of practice you can still count on rewashing 1/3! Second, NOTHING fits! There are too many tines, all going different directs, all slanted and too close together. Seriously, after paying a grand, my wife wants it out and back to our old $400 Whirlpool. The Whirlpool Quiet Partner out performs, easier to load, etc. Tines are all vertical and in simple rows and widely spaced...makes it a breeze to load. ONLY advantage, it is quiet...I've heard that if you buy one your eligible to get a "SAP" tattoo across your forehead!
Sir, not sure you will get this but here goes: I believe it is a 500 series. The front has SilencePlus 44dBA; however I think that is universal. The Model # is: SHPM65Z52N/20...I think it was about a Grand at Home Depot, installed myself, sturdy, stainless steel, makes NO noise...BUT that's the only good thing I can say. IF you want any more info, picture, etc. just let me know. @@zenbyo
Maybe u need to clean the filter? I hear their easy to do & also use powder detergent if your not already & use prewash dispenser also. Hope that helps
If you have any dishwasher tips to share leave them in the comments!

Is it plastic inside at the bottom?
There is a plastic piece at the bottom.

Stainless steel doesn’t dry at all. No Bosch’s dry
The million dollar question is: Does your Bosch dry the dishes? Answer: No, none of them do.
The crystal dry equipped bosch’s do.

Yeah but at $1200-$1300 you really have to shop all the options before deciding

Which Bosch model did you buy? I'm looking at replacing my current GE which is kaput.
