Sounds like a 😿
like our federal government ?
If people only knew what port of NY/NJ employees make, You would be mad as hell they want this percentage of increase. It's insane..
Whats insane is them keeping humongous profits.. most of us work well over a normal work week.
Yes they make $39/hour straight time while working containerized cargo. They work in all weather conditions and all hours of the day, youre right, everyone should be mad because that is horrible. If you only knew…
@@MattMortoranodo you believe the mailman doesn’t work during “all weather conditions” or the truck drivers that pull the containers. $40 a hour is amazing pay and most people in this country don’t even make half of that.
@jventura1987 so because most don't the few that do shouldn't any longer? Instead of punching down, like you are, punch up and more people would get paid like they should. You're damn right that mail person should get paid waaaay more than they do. Working people should stop being our worst enemy and instead lift each other up. All Power to the people.
@@jventura1987youre comparing placing envelopes in mailboxes to standing up on top of a ship in the wind and rain while handling 30lbs lashing bars, etc…? Are those mailmen going into work at 12am or putting in 16 hour shifts? How many mailmen do you know that have lost their lives while doing their job? You have no idea what youre talking about and dont understand the importance of the longshoremen but you may find out the hard way like this video says if the strike happens and the supply chain gets disrupted worse than what you saw during covid when you sat home while the longshoremen went to work everyday to keep the world moving. Maybe a few years ago $39 sounded good but the cost of living has gone up in part due to these shipping lines and container terminal operators that have been raising their prices and making record profits off of the backs of the longshoremen that they have been underpaying the last few years.
Send those ships to Mobile, Alabama
To breach the Master Contract with your automation & no clerk?
Yeah it's the whole east coast, smart you are 😂😂😂
@@henryvalentine4976 semi but with clerks
What can you handle, 2 ships a week??
I'm assuming you're not ILA, because you clearly don't understand what's going on
Sweet !!!
