- Hey guys!
Here's the last episode I've prepared on my Korean family's visit to the Philippines! I got to introduce to them the trendy MANAM as it is one of my favorite places to go to when I'm craving Filipino comfort food!
Sayang that I wasn't able to bring them to the restaurant itself due to time restrictions, but I'm glad they got to try it! Enjoy! 💖

It killed me constantly hearing 'river flows in you' play while Harry is talking. It's like he's reminiscing to his childhood like he had a tough upbringing in the philippines 😂
The editing of that is funny as heck 😅😆
Then switching to that 'Hambog ng Sagpro Crew' song. 🤣
Harry is so cute, I wanna be friends with him hahaah
I think Harry should start his own RUclips channel trying Filipino food! His experiences with Filipino cuisine is beyond his years… 👍🏽💯🫶🏼
Bakit dito sila nag stay nung bata sila?
I love how Harry is just there all the time, in his own little world, Jessica's buddy/defender, enjoying the food and not being a picky eater, and likes what Jessica likes. Chill kid
Harry might be a Filipino already, he's an expat to korea 😂
Jessica as a sinigang lover, hindi talaga sya papayag na hindi magustuhan ng family niya ang sinigang 😂 I had similar experience with trying out Kimchi the first time, it taste like spoiled. But eventually, it grows in me. Aquired taste.
same. didnt like kimchi before it tasted like beer to me but now i like it, the crunch of the veggie is life!
Your grandma is a natural at this. I wish we had her more often. 🥰
Pwede na mag vlog si Harry dahil marami din syang experience at info na binibigay😊
Filipino food is usually salty because it helps preserve food and prevent it from spoiling easily due to the hot climate. 😊
also, it's eaten with rice
lol what? afaik, it's salty because it's supposed to be eaten with rice. Eating it with rice will lessen the saltiness.
@@robotaku2419 yes. There is that, too. 🙂
its salty for them kc karamihan sa korean food ay matabang pero masarap. i worked there for 5 years then pag uwi ko every food are salty especially jollibee chicken joy. it took a year bago nakapag adjust ulit ang tastebuds ko sa mga pagkain natin.
Also when you ordered in manam, go with kare-kare . 100/10
The editing is funny esp when Harry talks bout his exp the aspect ratio changes lol. Love the honesty, I do agree that pancit sometimes tends to be too salty or oily, champorado is an acquired for many as we eat it during our childhood esp in rainy season, its sign of comfort and warmth.
Jessica's enthusiasm when talking about Filipino food is heartwarming...
Salamat po Tita, Tito, and Lola for visiting Philippines. Nag enjoy po kami mapanood ang inyong vacation vlog dito sa Pinas. Balik Po kayo ulit. We love you po.❤
I see you everywhere in Korean vlogs.😂
우와! 제시카님 가족들의 영상 보니까 저도 한국에있는 가족들이 생각나네요. 저희부모님도 필리핀 방문하셨을때 필리핀음식 맛있게 드셨거든요😊 영상 즐겁게봤어요!❤
oh wow the hello philippines gang, i knew you are watching jessicas vlog she started vlogging like yours too small but consistent and after almost 10 years of creating videos she grew her channel and i bet you can do that too hoping to get your silver button soon and i hope you can collaborate with her, lyn and jess have so much in common too coming from bacolod... keep safe beautiful family ❤
Lyn is as beautiful as Jessica..
@@marcsayson8026 hello philippines gang? what do you mean? gang ?
@@mathamour he meant group. "Gang" can be used to refer to a group of people or a group of friends. He didn't mean it negatively. Like I call my family "my gang." It's commonly used here in the US the way I explained it.
Sinigang is really like that for beginners. I didn't like Munggo also initially. Coming from a sweet tooth as a kid, I hated those at first. My taste buds eventually adjusted into my teens. By that time I disliked drinking Milo.
bentang-benta saakin si Harry. 😅 Tawa ako ng tawa at the same time, relate na relate sa kanya. Nostalgic mga pagkain sa canteen.
The edit on Harry's part got me-- 🤣🤣🤣 But really glad that they loved the food! Thank you and balik po kayo ulit!!! (I will now have to try eating at Manam)~
Love this family. Tita was a great addition to the trip. Different perspectives always make it more fun to watch.
The best si Lola talaga. Nakaka aliw din sya. Sya ung nag enjoy sa mga foods. Heheheh thank you Lola. ❤🥰 Okay lang sa kanya kahit sweet or salty ung good tinatry nya parin.
Ang galing ni Jessica😊 Kudos!
This is the most authentic food taste I've seen so far and a "SIGHT" why foreigners hate our food.
Filipino palate is an acquired taste and it's one of the reasons why it's not quite popular on Asian or Western cuisine.
You'll see a lot of Chinese, Koreans and Vietnamese restaurant in America but it's rare to see a Filipino one.
Some of food in Philippine is salty talaga minsan kasi rice is life talaga, you always need rice mapapakain ka ng marami. Sa sinigang naman maraming different types ng singang isda, hipon, manok atp pero pinaka the best talaga na sinigang is pork sinigang. 😊
Your Lola’s cheerfulness is delightful to watch.
Hi Jessica,
It's amazing how your families are very well adjusted to the Filipino foods, especially your auntie.
Love watching all videos.
Just a friendly suggestion, try coming over to Toronto, Canada in the summer ( June _ Aug) and experience the Filipino streets food festival, I'm pretty sure you'll love this vibes.
Cheers 🎉
Abe in BGC is the best Filipino restaurant 💕
YOUR GRANDMA IS A NATURAL AT THIS. I WISH WE HAD HER MORE OFTEN. 🥰❤️
i suddenly remember myself in Uptown mall BGC, eating in Tim Ho Wan while across me were koreans in Manam hahaha so comforting watching foreigners liking Filo culture and food!
What Filo? There's no such word as Filo. If you want to shorten the word call it Pinoy.
If they did Sinigang with fish with less salt and added sampalok. Then let the fat of the fish soak in the soap with the kangkong. It tastes so much better. Auntie will love it because the taste is mellow and warms your heart. Anyone will love it. It is a nice hearty soup.
the problem with a lot of people who cooks sinigang nowadays is they use those artificial ingredients that's why the siningang becomes salty.
Jessica should just be Manam’s ambassador at this point 😂
I like how Harry shares his own experiences about the foods. ❤
Hi Jessica, wishing they shall be back soon for more and salamat sharing their good times in the Philippines.
your granny is such an adorable lola, i wish i could meet her, cook pinoy foods for her and feed her... ang cute ni lola.. ♥♥♥
Salty and sweet mix well together. We like to mix things altogether. Just like champorado with tuyo. Very sweet rice chocolate porridge with a salty fish. But ofcourse foreigners will find it weird but honestly it is just our culture and we are used to combine those food. Lately I have realized that some of our food is really salty and over sweet.
They will also find it weird if they taste kare kare. When I was young. I used to hate kare kare cause meats don’t blend well with peanuts. But I got used to it. And it is heavily reliant to bagoong which has a distinct taste. Again we filipinos like to mix things. Bagoong is salty and kare kare peanut is sweet. Why are we like this?
I like all their reaction and opinions, Lola is so funny.. I love ur family Ms Jessica ❤
your lola is fun to be with during food time. as you probably already know filipinos love foodtrips, the more the merrier
Hahaha Harry’s so cute! He had lots of fond memories in the Philippines!!
did he study in the Philippines?
Same question
Pansit when it's salty.. Squeese some calamansi..when u buy in store. They include them in plastic bag..
these videos with your fam have been so entertaining & heartwarming!! glad tita grew to like sinigang hahaha, lola is always so funny and animated!! watching harry reminisce about his childhood and enjoy the food at the same time makes me feel the same way, and tito being so down for almost any food even just the kangkong is so cute and funny. hope to see them again soon!
I am having goosebumps seeing Lola enjoying every dish and fruits here in the Philippines .. hope to see more videos of you with Lola.. she's so adorable 🥰🥰🥰🥰
for them to enjoy champorado better, u have to add evaporated milk on top of it so its not too sweet for them... evap milk or fresh milk is also okay
I love grandma 😍
hope your family have enjoy their wonderful stay here uncle aunt cousin grandma your mom sister yiur family about beautiful places and pilipino food glad they love may they comeback for another great vacation good job jessica yiure great and kind
Omg!!! Look at Harry!!! So grown up! He was just a kid the last time I saw him!! Miss you all so so much!! ❤❤❤
Your videos on sharing Filipino foods with your family are great as always. I wish you could also share more Korean foods with your Filipino friends. Either traditional or more exotic Korean foods. Thank you for this Jessica! ❤
Waiting for new season of paborito and trabaho series!!! Try Cuisina Sabor in Manda ❤ ube champorado and spanish style tawilis are my personal fave.
Manam has long been an established Filipino resto~ even way way before pandemic! love their sisig and gising gising!!
Super enjoy this series! 😍 Love that Tita finally liked a Filipino dish. ❤
Cute Ni lola😊
hello jessica watching from dumaguete
Jessicaaaa, you should have a blindfold tast challenge between, menudo, caldereta, afritada and mechado hahaha
I love that you have to explain to them every dish when you and grandmama are the only ones that really understand how the food works, it’s taste better when you’re hungry. Food wise sinigang is delish.
Ang cute ni Lola 😭😭😭 I love her na. She reminds me of my Lola as well🥺
I’m always cheering for Lola to like the food😊
Cheering for Tita too esp with sinigang
I'm loving the content 🥰 I can't wait to go back to the philippines and have food with my familia
Wow. Its so nice to hear that they love so much on all the foods served. Finally finally jessice. This is nice...
I love ur lola bigla ko namiss lola ko
More videoooooos with them
Please??
Im so glad you picked good foods for this. I agree Sinigang na Hipon is not for everyone they really should have tried the pork first. I bet they'll like giniling or mechado and even filipino chicken curry
Let them try bicol express..it's spicy and milky (coconut)
Love their honest reactions ❤
i love how Jessica was like having a thesis defense while explaining all the dishes 😅😂 super nag crave ako sa sinigang now! ❤
I love your Lola, she's down to try everything. Champorado is usually a little sweet, and the locals pair it with fried dried fish.
all of those are good and i hope they try pork nilaga, beef tapa, bicol express, potchero, afritada, puto, and lechon manok next time too and i hope they'd like it 😁
your aunt at your right is the best, she can be a top actor in any country just being herself, shes like a lax Hiroyuki Sanada!
love the reaction, so authentic no sugarcoating, all honest reviews
ang ganda talaga ni ma'am 😊😊
I love your lola. ❤ She is so cool. I hope she is my grandma too. Hope more vlogs with your lola. 🥰❤❤❤
I love the sharing, so sweet
Try Sarsa kitchen & bar also Pamana restaurant & barrio fiesta restaurant
Awwww 🥲 a happy Korean fam enjoying the stay here in Pinas! 🇵🇭❤️ Salamat Ms. Jessica napapunta mo sila dito at na-try ang mga foods dito na talagang patok sa mga turista at staple pa natin!
i love how lola is such a filipino food defender 😂
i love that they are honest on what they think of the dishes as they try them.
props to your family for being so open to trying our food! salamat po 😊
Try the Ginataang Langka . One of my favourite food. Baka magustuhan niyo po. Jessica lee.
Seeing your lola eating her food makes me happy too😩 she knows how to eat I love her
I hope you can do a vlog for the biggest Korean cafe in Angeles City or maybe even in the Philippines, Lala Garden Cafe. Thanks and much appreciated
I miss this kind of editing Jessica 😭 this is why I love your videos. Your editing is unique
They're so appreciative ❤ I'm really loving all these vids with your fam 😅
Ayoko din ng champorado, para sakin weird sya lalo na i pare sa tuyo.
Mas gusto ko kasi savory kaysa sweet na pagkain. Tama sila sa monggo, sa lahat ng pinatikim mo, I think ang monggo ang pinaka healthy, lalo na if may ampalaya.
I really love jessica lee.😊😊
*Lovin your Tita's initial disgust of sinigang slowly turning into her love for it.*
my heart melted when i saw lola happy about the Philippine food 😊
Should let them try bicol Express, knilaw, kare kare ox tail, arroz caldo, and dinuguan next. 😁
Omg i love your family vlogs there really cool and your so pretty❤
Grandma is s cute And her maja2 😂comment is so cute. I really enjoyed your family’s food review🫶🫶🫶 finally your aunt enjoy the sinigang
Power sayo palagi Ms. Jessica ☝️
Kakatuwa naman panuorin ang family mo sa pagkain ng filipino foods Jessica.🥰🥰
Champorado, sinigang, Lumpia 😍💖♥️💖😍💖😍♥️💖😍💖♥️💖 yesssss ♥️💖♥️💖♥️💖
I love your grandma ❤❤❤ Filipino heart ❤️
Wow.. Masarap sana all.....
the best way to eat champorado is with evaporated milk 😋
Sinigang is like KOREANs kimchi.. I really dont like it at first.. but when I tried eating it more often, I started getting addicted to it and now I can eat kimchi pairing to any dish... love it
Love this series ❤❤❤
Filipino food or ulam needs to be mix or put on top of the rice so it won’t be too salty. I can’t eat without rice. 😊
Your lola is so cute. will miss this vlogs with your korean family
grandma is the most excited eater ❤😊.
가족분들이 다 선해보이시네여 ㅋㅋ 보면서 편안해요 ㅋㅋㅋ제시카님 한국어 하시는거 첨봐요😂ㅋㅋㅋ
You have a great family.
I’ve never even heard of Filipino cuisine until I I got with my wife and I must say it’s quit delicious!!!
I love how honest they are😂
Grandma is such a foodie!! I love her>
