He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I worked at a casino and heard that this comedian was performing there, I saw him on TV and thought he was pretty funny. I don't know who specifically, It was a guy that Gabriel Iglesias knew, one of those guys. Anyway, sure enough I worked as a busser and he was in our restaurant. I really wanted to stop by the table and say that I liked his comedy. However i made my way to his table cleaning as I got closer, and he was in a horrible mood. He was in a quiet argument with I'm assuming a manager type person. I got to his table and asked the usual question "Hi, are you finished with your meal?" What Zach says is something all the new generation of kids that want to be influencers should hear By all means, if you want to entertain people, go for it, even if you show your face and people recognize you, focus on the core message of what he said and only surround yourself with people that treat you as a person BEYOND that "celebrity status"

Zach is very entertaining outside of just his body of work in animation. I hope he understands that and feels comfortable with people celebrating his appearances in podcasts and let's plays as his "work" as well. I do get the grossness of people being judged just on their laurels and not just getting to be treated like another person, though.

Zach and Mick are 100% right about clout chasers. Just the LA clout culture in general is fucking gross. I good display of that cancer is Ice Poseidons group.
this bizarre situation was more likely caused by most of these guys refusing to show their faces in almost more than half of the videos they post, at least that's my little theory on the subject .
asking for photos is so weird to me.. its like you want this evidence of you interacting with a celebrity to post around the internet but you know the interaction lasted for so little time it had no significance and will not be a good memory to you or the celebrity. a waste of time for everyone.
This is reminding me of the time i met a semi-famous person at a bar and pestered them in the smoking area for five minutes and awkwardly took a photo with them. Never again will i do that. Looking back, it was the most cringy thing I've done in my life.
I enjoy watching my favorite youtubers and streamers, but during conventions, I would never go out of my way just to meet some of them and waste each others time. I go to PAX South to play new upcoming videogames, and enjoy shows, I don't really have time to wait in long lines or go search around just to meet my favorite youtuber or streamer. I enjoy my time, they enjoy their time is all that matters. Then you have to think what to talk about with them. Nope! i have no time for that. ProJared is my first and last famous dude i got to meet. He's a really cool dude, but i felt bad afterwards for bothering him. He was looking at tabletop games before i went up and bothered him.
I feel like after every one of these stories I’ve seen and heard The most I’d ever say or do if I ever saw a youtuber or celebrity I liked in the real world I’d probably just try to be like “hey man I really like your work”
UNPOPULAR OPINION: I'm tired of celebs whining about their fame. They enjoy influence and probably a good amount of money and they act like their lives are so hard with all their fake friends. If you don't like someone don't talk to them. This should be mildly annoying but they act like It's the end of the goddamn world. I don't know if Zach really makes all that money but my comment still stands for celebrities as a whole.
Idk if youre implying that your statement applies to zach and them but 99% of the time a celebrity complains about fame they are just being fuckin stupid
Well now zach everyones gonna be like hey its that voice from rick and morty but dw the first time i heard that sexy voice i knew my boy had made it in leagues
I'm a big fan of Monty python and I saw Michael Palin walking around in the Tate museum on a college trip to London and I avoided him specifically because I didn't want to bother him on his day out
I probably wouldn’t ask anyone’s autograph because i might think they’re not the person, so i might guess nervous and won’t ask just in case they’re some stranger.
I fucking hate the idea of going to a convention full of people who could either be nerds still in secondary school who can't control themselves or people with special needs who still live with their parents and indulge in shit like anime. Watching them open their mouths to ask a question about cartoons or nerdy shit would be a pain in the ass because I would already know where they'd stand in the social stratus of society if the question they asked was "Do you watch the Dream SMP" or "Who's your favourite My Hero Academia character?". And I've been stuck with people like that in secondary school who don't shut up about whatever nerdy shit they like, so that would just bring back some major PTSD.
Peebles: I don't really feel like I deserve a picture, I don't really put my face out there I want people to appreciate my work not the person behind it. Also Peebles: they didn't even care who I was until they heard what I made, and then they were all happy about it and talking about how cool it was. It was the slimiest I've ever felt.
Yo, life as a celebrity of any sort sounds kind of crappy to me. It must be frustrating and exhausting to not be able to go places and be treated like just another person, such as the case for Jontron. It makes me appreciate being just another nobody.
I'm pretty sure everyone aspires popularity at least on Kardashian level but I wouldnt mind a small fanbase like early oney that I could interact with and not feel empty inside
I don't think that many people do honestly. I'd want the money and enough contacts to throw some banger parties with it occasionally but otherwise I want nothing to do with that shit.
I think there should be a movement to physically tackle and beat people who try to approach celebrities, even e-tier ones, like a sort of vigilante bodyguard thing. If you're walking in the street and see a celeb you should shadow them and watch out. If you see any creepy weirdos try to go up and talk to them, you should full on double leg takedown and ground and pound them with poisoned brass knuckles. Then when they are KO'd or dead (who cares), if the celeb tries to say anything you should scream I'MNOTCREEPYIDON'TWANTTOBOTHERYOU really loud and run away really fast.
Mick being offended that high schoolers would rather hang out with and date a fit, outgoing guy when they didn't want to hang out with and date a quiet little fat kid irritates me every time I listen to it.
I mean he started out saying how he had friends that changed their tunes after he lost wait which should never be the case when it comes to friends and because that it developed into mistrust of others

It still bugs me to this day, but overall I appreciate the perspective. Like Mick I try really hard to be genuine with people and not put on some sickly sweet persona out of pity or something.
Mick is exactly how i feel rifht now at 24
I would love to have a casual average conversation with zach
Tragic fate of celebrities is, they can never return to peace without a eye over their shoulder watching their moves
mick's story is badass in this
Are you fat
The losing weight thing is too real.
I had the exact same experience, went from being fat and ugly to skinny and attractive in a short period of time and yeah everyone is so fake
Its like actors being recognized for only one role.
This Sock has been on my Bed for 4 Years.
Zach and Mick are 100% right about clout chasers. Just the LA clout culture in general is fucking gross. I good display of that cancer is Ice Poseidons group.

I searched up … on RUclips by myself at 3 am and now I’m scared
WHAT IF I USE THE WRONG PRONOUN
this bizarre situation was more likely caused by most of these guys refusing to show their faces in almost more than half of the videos they post, at least that's my little theory on the subject .
im too self aware to approach celebrities because i just know it would annoy them and also what else would you say other than "hey! youre that guy!"
I would probably just say “Hey, are you _____?” And if correct i would just say “Cool, love your stuff” and then continue
"Jon's not a fat lesbian, not yet" -Zach "Psychicpebbles" Hadel
asking for photos is so weird to me.. its like you want this evidence of you interacting with a celebrity to post around the internet but you know the interaction lasted for so little time it had no significance and will not be a good memory to you or the celebrity. a waste of time for everyone.
What's the song in the background
‘I’m not a celebrity’
Millions of people have watched your work. Like it or not, you’re a celebrity, Zach.
no, celebrity is a reach
I feel like after every one of these stories I’ve seen and heard
The most I’d ever say or do if I ever saw a youtuber or celebrity I liked in the real world I’d probably just try to be like “hey man I really like your work”
UNPOPULAR OPINION: I'm tired of celebs whining about their fame.
This one I like
I fucking hate the idea of going to a convention full of people who could either be nerds still in secondary school who can't control themselves or people with special needs who still live with their parents and indulge in shit like anime.
I’m pretty sure EVERYONE knew who Chris was and wanted to fuck with him
Like a normal person. a normal peerosn. a pornam merson. a ploram blurson. a balapram piloplop
Peebles: I don't really feel like I deserve a picture, I don't really put my face out there I want people to appreciate my work not the person behind it.
Also Peebles: they didn't even care who I was until they heard what I made, and then they were all happy about it and talking about how cool it was. It was the slimiest I've ever felt.
tbh i never want to meet anyone i watch on the internet for these reasons ngl
Yo, life as a celebrity of any sort sounds kind of crappy to me. It must be frustrating and exhausting to not be able to go places and be treated like just another person, such as the case for Jontron. It makes me appreciate being just another nobody.
I'm pretty sure everyone aspires popularity at least on Kardashian level but I wouldnt mind a small fanbase like early oney that I could interact with and not feel empty inside
I don't think that many people do honestly. I'd want the money and enough contacts to throw some banger parties with it occasionally but otherwise I want nothing to do with that shit.
Holy shit, I do that to people I don't know to fuck with them. I can't imagine the mentality of someone who does that for real
Cats
Yeah, getting brushed off by blokes who think they’re hot shit ain’t fun. That’s why I prefer books and a small circle of tribe friends.
wow, i now see i may have sounded like a dick when i chatted with Zach on Discord in the past.
Celebrities are there for you to hound and harass. Never feel bad about inconveniencing some egomaniacal fame-monger.
you work as a paparazzi?
Wait hold the fuck up that weight thing happened to me to. T for t man I swear
Mick being offended that high schoolers would rather hang out with and date a fit, outgoing guy when they didn't want to hang out with and date a quiet little fat kid irritates me every time I listen to it.
that wasnt his point but go off i guess
@@nikkovalidor4890 that wasn't the point he thought he was making, I'll agree to that.
I mean he started out saying how he had friends that changed their tunes after he lost wait which should never be the case when it comes to friends and because that it developed into mistrust of others
I actually interned at Comedy Central last year and got to meet Zach. He told me to put my mask over my nose. I am generally opposed to masks and the plandemic, but I just obliged him and didn’t make a scene. The executives there basically treated him like a demigod so I thought it best not to tread on his toes.
Did you get to talk/interect with him at all besides that?
Damn you got alpha maled, I can't imagine being a beta like that but I guess not everyone man is as strong as me , if I was in your shoes believe me things would have been a lot different
Gay
everyone please like this comment into the heavens
I powerbottomed the shit out of Makemebad35 back in 2009.
Is this true? No. Will I continue to tell people about it? Yes.
You silver-tongue devil
I love Zach but have no idea what he looks like tbh
Scroll through his Twitter and you'll eventually find his face. Either that or, there are a few panels on RUclips with him in it where you can see his face.
Looks about how he sounds
Only was just in the Twilight Zone for a little while
