I have a richard I can sometimes chat with guys in Georgia... I even chatted once wit an old boy from New Zealand. But then sometimes I have no response (?) Thinking about purchasing an amp but not sure which direction to go. Any suggestions. I was also thinking maybe a better antenna might help(?). Right now I have a 6 foot fire stick.
Hey great video , I just ordered one of these and was wondering if I'm ok to run it wide open all the time on am ? It's in a cubby , so not sure about heat on this thing ? And also will I be wearing out parts inside quicker having the RF power cranked all the time ? Also did yours come out of the box with the 11 metre or did you do the mod to it ? Mine shows up tomorrow and I'm curious how yours came ? Thanks in advance !
It will get hot if you got it tucked in a cubby hole. Yeah if you if you chat for a long time it will get hot. If you can get some ventilation to it a fan, try to mount it horizontally so that the heat sink is away from the body of the radio. Ideally if the radio has a lot of swing IE amplitude modulation at a lower power setting the radio will run cooler
Good Day Sir, I got a president richard from you some time ago. I have a question I have a BAOFENG UB 82 DUAL BAND RADIO feom amazon Can I tune the same frequecy in the Richard that I use on the Baogeng?????
It's interesting that President believes the Mic gain control is frequently used. I set and forgot; even the my Astatic Road Devil gain control is hot glued in place 😆. That being said, that is a nice radio. Have a good weekend Rooster.

Where is the Watergate feature ? How can they call it a Richard without it? I hope President corrects this oversight soon . They could call it the President Richard M or President Richard / Watergate . It would be epic ! I would buy one and I bet many others would too . The Watergate don't lie !
