I stopped by early this week and had him set up my president Richard radio and I've had nothing but great comments about the radio on the air. Thanks for the great work.
I actually just got this radio, it was between the Stryker 447 hpc2 and this. The price is what did it for me, all the features and way smaller price tag , love it
Right Wayne It has all the gimmicks found on high $ "Export" jobs at a better $ and it's a 3 final rig so you can run an amplifier easily with it The dick is the best deals out there right now Imo.
When you turned it up it didn't fall back at all, it has one of the best receives in the business I checked it against my old school Galaxy running a 1 x 4 amp with a pre-amp on and it was actually better I bought another one just to have a back up if I need SSB I have the old Galaxy and several different size amps. The Dick is the best radio at this $ out there right now.
@Fast Freddy Muldoon I agree. He knew it did not have it before he posted. This radio seems to be a bargain converted to 11 meter. I will buy one of these any day over an overpriced Cobra 29.
Great video, looking for the mod video now. Also wish you would continue producing videos, I appreciate you're no exaggeration way of doing things!! 7 3
Just bought one the other day GREAT radio the smoothest receive on a ?? CB I ever had and I have had them all. No SSB if it did it would be a home run anyway on the road you use AM almost all the time anyway. Features you forgot to mention it has settings for DYN mics or ELE mics and a swr system that works great turn it on and tune your swr with the volume up from outside the truck at the antenna to get a flat match. Also the auto squelch works perfect they should patent that design. Also a vox control don't know why they put that in I suppose some will use it. The roger beep isn't very good don't use it anyway never did but for the money and the 50 plus watts out and the SMALL size of this radio it's very hard to beat. Since it isn't SSB they should have put CW in it with a wide clarifier control at least on 10 Meters you could use that their isn't much FM on 10 these days. But in other country's they use FM instead of AM for their CB bands so it makes sense I guess.
As far as I know some countries / Germany/ trying to stop drivers using cb on the move hence Vox because they won't allow driver to operate microphone. Still it's ok to use everything else around them in the modern vehicles with some of them needing you to go 4 levels deep in the menu for temp control. Greetings from Poland
Not sure how to convert but mine came with the strange uk frequencies put in one bank. 100% doesn’t need a power mic. The audio booms out like a tube radio!!!
The conversion to 11 meter ( CB ) requires the soldering of a small bridge wire on the board. This allows the CB band to be added via the digital menu. There are several clips here on RUclips that show that. Once that’s done the radio operates in channel mode so there is no longer a way to tune it like you can when it is a stock 10 meter radio. So even if it had SSB I don’t know how you would tune it. It’s not advisable to be tuning a radio when you’re mobile anyway. Not for nothing, but who needs SSB when you have an 11 meter radio that is 13 watts on all 40 channels and 50 watts PEP?
Just got this radio and having some trouble. Have super high SWR, not receiving anything on AM (did conversion) signal all the way up to 8 or 9 but just have static. Don't know what's going on.... Can anyone help?
umm... snip that connector off and replace with a Uniden 5 pin and that microphone looks like it could be a good replacement for the HR2510 and variants.
Oops! Did some further research on this mic idea and this is not the mic for the older radios. I think this radio uses an electret element w/phantom pwr. and the HR2510's, etc. are not providing any phantom pwr. Found some Dynamic up/down button mic's on eBay for around $25.
I purchased one and not happy with it, no talk back the microphone feels cheap can't figure out the echo setting with no talk back. Unless I'm not working it correctly just hooked it up real fast and took it out, I'll mess with it more then make my final decision.
i have mine converted to 11 meters has great recieve, But has no modulation sounds like im talking threw a sock. i tryed 3 differt mics including a D104. i was told the modulation limiter needs to come out.. any ideas? has no swing what so ever..
Echo on a 10 mtr radio, Ha .... its a glorified cb radio, And not even a patch on the original Richard that was based on the PB010 chassis thats used in the Cobra 148 gtl-dx and the Superstar 360-FM, President seem to take one step forward and three steps back !
The FCC needs to update the rules and these radios wont have to be built anymore. 11 meter is the most widely used band but limited to 4 watts. FCC should allow a channel expansion and 200 watts pep. Then these radios would be fcc certified and you would not have "exports'' anymore

Could this be converted to run 11 meter and still run 50 watts??

10 mtrs ... No SSB, Surely thats an April fool joke .

So how do you convert it to a 11 meter radio
I’ve bought one of these and it’s an amazing radio. On the air it booms out better than its rivals 🔥

This radio is lot of bang for the buck for a CB guy. I am going to buy one.
I dont know what all this means too much but it like your vid where you say its good and bad after all the stuff your checking out. Thanks
Is it possible to hook up a rfx95hd with the president richard????

Does this radio cover 26.905 and 26.915 after it’s converted? That’s where we talk here locally
What do the 10m mean? I have a new truck and tis is build in,
How do you do the conversion to11 MHz, and would you say the stock mic is equal to or better than an amplified D104?

Will richard I bought off you guys still do fm
@CB Repair Guy where's the Modulation adjustment area and the AM Power Adjustment at in this radio??
These won't be on the market very long without adjustments.
So Dave white I have one and need to convert it to a 11 meter radio so I can use it in my tractor and trailer
U have to pull up the secret menu, all the adjustments can be done w the covers on from the screen
i bought one of these and i cant get if to do 11 meter i bought 2 others and they came on 11 meters what can i do to get this one on 11 meters
How do u convert it to a 11 meter
how does one unlock it to do the mod to get onto 11 meters/? I can not find any info to open it up… thank you...
@Tony Tyler its very simple to do. All you need is A 100 Ohm resistor. Once I stalled go to your menu opinion and look for PD and add the code
@@jbuloke thank you so much for your help...
@@DAVE_WHITE thank you dave .i appreciate you too...
Watched Lester's video it has 27.2050 on it, so I would assume it can do 11m AM.
its just a jumper you have to add, their is a video on it Google president richard modification . it will give you a diagram

i have mine converted to 11 meters has great recieve, But has no modulation sounds like im talking threw a sock. i tryed 3 differt mics including a D104. i was told the modulation limiter needs to come out.. any ideas? has no swing what so ever..
Try changing the mic input type in the menu it swings to 50 watts easily that's pretty decent.
in the title you said its a 10 meter but ur on 27 Mhz
They should do a version of this radio in AM/SSB. Who the Heck uses 10 meter? Don't you have to have a license to use 10 meter?
I like it
