NEW Leica D-Lux 8 vs D-Lux 7 vs Leica Q3 vs NEW Panasonic Lumix S9

- In this video I introduce the just announced new Leica D-Lux 8. Market launch for this camera will be the 2nd of July. I compare the new D-Lux 8 with the Leica D-Lux 7, with the Leica Q3 and with the also just announced new Panasonic Lumix S9 which is a full frame sensor system camera in the L-Mount Alliance. The video explains everything you need to know about the new Leica D-Lux 8.
Additional note: the new Panasonic Lumix S9 has no EVF - likely not a problem for videographers but certainly for photographers. This is the big disadvantage of the new Lumix S9. Its possible that there will be an accessory EVF available in the future like we have it in the Leica world (Visoflex 2) but for the time being image composition will have to happen via the rear LCD screen if you shoot an S9.
What material is the Leica D-Lux 8 made of:
Full metal housing: magnesium die-cast, leatherette covering

Finally a channel that has the Lux 8 and provides a comparison to the Lux 7 and the Q3. Well done. Thank you.
My pleasure!
@@mathphotographer Who makes the D-Lux 7 and D-Lux 8? Is it Panasonic? I have been looking for a D-Lux 7, but Now I am up for a D-Lux 8.
The design is amazing, the simplified menus and the true mini Q vibe is alluring. I'm ok with the lens but I can't accept a 6 y/o sensor given the gigantic leap that panasonic did with the 25mpx phase detection capable sensor. This is nuts :(
Let's see what the sensor really is about, as said in the video, Leica has not yet published an official specs sheet. At least its a CMOS sensor whereas the D-Lux 7 has an MOS sensor.
@@mathphotographer Image quality and ISO comparison would be great... The megapixel are alright but it would really be great to have image quality improvements to make me upgrade from the Lumix LX100 II
@@marckyokay I'm in the same position and have the same question... did it improve on IQ??
I think that Leica has missed a trick here: if it had an APS sensor, it would blow the Fuji vi out of the water and I would buy it. However, MFT is IMO not quite enough. Otherwise it looks excellent. Perhaps it is the ideal camera for e.g. a cycling or hiking trip.
Mft is way more than.enough...for most
I agree, for people in sports, reportage, hiking, etc. this is a small lightweight camera you can take with you everywhere and will get good photos with good enough image quality for larger prints ... this camera will find its buyers, I am sure :)
@@Tigerex966 I accept that but my main point was that the Fuji e100vi which has an APC sensor, seems to be sweeping all before it at the moment. Imagine if Leica had made this camera with an APC sensor and the equivalent zoom lens. I suspect that it would be selling like hot cakes.
@@AndyKevill well you maybe right but at their prices I don’t think any Leica will sell like hot cakes.
It is true apc sensor is the perfect balance between full frame and m43.
Ironically critics think Panasonic should have made the s9 a m43 camera.
Thank you for sharing! Always appreciate your POV. The demand for this "old" camera is amazing! Of course, I'm now on the waitlist!
I had a bad experiance with D-Lux 7 in regards to sensor dust that gets in and cannot be cleaned, I hope they are able to resolve this problem.
.
This is the main reason why I have stayed away from the DLUX 7 and LX100mii. Dust ingress on the sensor is an inevitable fact of life. Better to get the GX9 in this regard as it is easy to take off the lens and blow away any debris that happens to get on the sensor. Not really excited about the DLUX8.
@@daviddb4858 The LX100 has a far larger reported problem than most with this. I have had many compacts and a couple of Panasonic zooms the only ones that had dust problem. One had dust in it from new. I think it rather unfair to damn all compact cameras with this problem. I have a Casio compact and Canon SX620 which are pretty long in the tooth with no trace of dust visible.
The problem with the S9 it has no EVF !!! (Sun???) Good explanation and comparison 👌🏻
Exactly my thought thats the reason i own the A7cr…. Same size but with grip and EVF and better AF and better lens choice and yes 60 MP means i got with my 35mm 1.4 also a 50mm 2.1…. Option i like it
Thanks. And yes, the missing EVF of the S9 is a problem.
Man I love the D Lux 7 and Lumix LX100 m2 so it makes me sad to see so little effort put into an upgrade by Leica/Panasonic. No 4K 60? Still has a significant crop in video? Still with 49 area contrast detect AF? It is no wonder why no one is talking about the specifics of this camera.
We will see finally everything when Leica publishes specifications, so far its not clear what the details are on this camera.
My point exactly! There really doesn’t seem to be anything compelling about the DLUX 8…Nothing at all. The best thing is that the price on the DLUX 7 should go down now that the “newer” model is out.
Thanks for a useful review. BTW, all MOS has been CMOS for the past 40 years. MOS started in two flavors, PMOS (made with P-type transistors) and NMOS (made with N-type transistors). By the late '70s, most of MOS was NMOS. But around 1980, the industry started transitioning to CMOS, which included both P and N type transistors. By the mid-1980s, pretty much all MOS was made in CMOS, and since then, MOS and CMOS have been pretty much synonymous. Both the DLUX7 and and the DLUX8 are made with CMOS sensors, as are all other digital cameras today, ranging from smart phones to the Phase One IQ4.
Very good comprehensive review. Agree also - the Q3 is best camera I have used as an all rounder. I will be getting a d-lux 8 based on your review. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
But what about the specs? They haven’t released the specs for the DLuX 8 yet? I’m not impressed (disappointed) with what I’ve seen in the DLUX 8, as I really wanted to see what they were going to come with. I like the DLUX 7 better. I don’t have a DLux 7. Maybe the price will go down now that the DLUX 8 is out. There doesn’t seem to be anything earth-shatteringly better about the DLUX8 over the 7.
Agree completely. Camera is for people who value the consistency of the interface. Like photographic “b” camera. And, let’s not forget, the entry camera into the Leica brand.
Thanks, fully aligned.
I love the D-lux 8. Exactly what I need as a second pocketable camera. True, the price is a bit steep, but it's nice to work with, it's pretty and solid. I am not too worried about newer technology or more MP. It does what it says on the tin and looks good while doing it!
The dlux8 is underwhelming to me. I would probably choose the Fuji X100vi. Q3 owner here
Stay happy with your Q3 :) Does not fit in the pocket of your jacket but is one of the best cameras you can get and shoot!
I have seen shops quoting 7 months delivery for the X100VI... 😞
The x100vi is 1000 more for places that have it in stock.
@@andreaskaphengst8121 I think so too, even the jpgs of the 109 are very, very usable.
Great video sir. Managed to order one today to replace my griiix as my EDC. My Q3 ❤ is too big and expensive to take to work everyday……it will accompany me on hols with my SL3 and a few lenses and will come everywhere with me. Hope I’m not disappointed compared to the GRiiix…….!
Its nice to see the physical differences between the two. I would be interested in what the reason was to increase the size in all dimensions. If it is better materials/better sealing/build quality, that would be a nice addition. I was using my Dlux-7 today and was appreciating how fun it is to use.
We will see finally everything when Leica publishes specifications, so far not all details are clear yet. Curious in the same way as you are :)
Dlux 8 would be an option with the new 25 MP Sensor..with effective 17 Mp and the old Sensor its outdated
+
It's just a re-rehash with panasonic LX100ii.
Lost opportunity for Leica.
Shame that there is not much of an upgrade here. Same old 17MP 4/3 sensor! Really? Give us a 24-70mm (35mm equivalent) with a 33MP APS sensor, please!
Very nice review, I bought D-lux 7 in mint condition for $700, 4 years ago from a local seller, I still have it and it’s still mint condition like the day I bought it, honestly I’ve been neglecting it and mostly using my iPhone pro, even a small camera is still to big to carry around unless I have a specific purpose, I also think my balck and silver D7 just looks better like an old school film camera, I personally see no reason to upgrade at all, I’m quite surprised Leica did it at all.
Will you be making any future videos on the D-Lux 8? Videos on it seem to be few and far between, and I enjoy when you go more in depth with cameras and their accessories.
Thanks for your first rate reviews they are the best. I was disappointed Leica didn't include a tilt screen on this model as in the Q3. I was looking forward to buying a compact Leica like this, especially as I already use Micro 4/3. I definitely would have bought this camera on the strength of your review but have decided to wait a few more years for the tilt screen....
The D-Lux7 viewfinder is the old (2013) sequential line Panasonic viewfinder which is 16/9 native and process RGB one refresh per time. Same as on all the GX7/9 and on the LX100 line.
The D-Lux8 has a standard 4/3 Oled which means the frame resolution is the same except cropped on the sides, which is completely inconsequential on a 4/3 sensor
Very informative thank you. I have a Q3 and a D-Lux 7 and I use them excactly as you said in the video. I am attracted by the ‘mini Q3’ because I always have to think twice when using the D-Lux and hate Micro USB, but are the changes enough to get me to upgade? Not sure they are for the cost involved (including having to buy a new grip).
Thanks for your positive feedback on the video. I will upgrade from D-Lux 7 to D-Lux 8 for sure but some time later when Leica likely launches another special edition like they did for the D-Lux 7 - I showed both special limited editions in the video :) Then its even more fun to upgrade.
Wonderful video review as always. You speak English very well, and I appreciate that you are well manicured as many people don’t consider this important aspect in their videos.
I would have wished that Leica would have put a little more new stuff into the 8. Sensor is so so, IBIS... Lumix S9 lacks just an EVF, then it would be perfect
Great review. I had the original D'Lux type 109. Compared to other digicams of its time, it gave great image quality and was a pleasure to hold. However, I sold it because it was a dog of a camera to use. It was very sluggish in use, slow focus lock, proned to freezing. When reviewing images in quick successing, on reaching the 5th or 6th, it freezed and had to wait for the buffer to recover. To prevent this, I used to count to 5 before moving to the next image to review, seriously.
To see that after almost ten years and how little they did against the enormous strides in other technologies such as cameras in smartphones, it is unforgivable. It is for Leica devotees, a little like Apple devotees, who would put up with any shortcomings of their preferred brand and pay for the asking price...
Having said all that...I must say that the aesthetic is lovely, just like a mini Q3, an object of desire...like a Rolex watch.
Thanks for your comment. I like in particular your last point which is spot-on: this one is beautifully designed, still capable enough for serious photography and feels a bit like an iconic piece to own, as you said, an "object of desire". Very well said!
One thing not mentioned: The cable door has changed from a solid, spring loaded door to a rubberized, hinged flap.
Thanks for pointing out.
Just for the upgrades (usb-c and menu structure) I ordered one. If only they would deliver... still no deliveries in Belgium 18 days after launching!!
Very good review! I loved my LX100 until it sucked in a dust bunny that impacted every image for then on. I hope Pan/Leica has resolved this issue - but given that the camera is not touted as weather sealed, I worry. Still, may just cross my fingers and order one. Ticks so many boxes!
Nice review but astonishing you don't mention the huge difference on the top that you have the manual stop adjust on the DLux 7 which is then missing in Dlux 8. I have mixed feelings about this....its wonderful to have this there as a manual disk avoiding having to go into the digital menu again ..but i could never understand why this didn't have a lock as countless times i knocked it by accident. ...
Super review - thank you. We are now seeing rumours that Panasonic will be announcing a MFT camera on 5th June. I wonder if this will be the LX100iii - DLux 8 variant?
Most likely you are right :) And thanks for the positive feedback, much appreciated.
Maybe Panasonic will release the specs on it.
Thank you for the comparison! What is the body of the D-Lux 8 made of? Is it magnesium alloy, or some enhanced plastic for the body and the lens?
Thanks, please find this information in the infobox of the video, I dropped a comment there so everyone can read it :)
@@mathphotographer- Thank you!
Great review ! Very well explained, with clear comparaisons between the 3 cameras. Thanks alot for sharing your thoughts with us. Take care, greatings, Roger.
Lumix 20->60 lens is very handy, but Lumix S9 camera has no flash synch.
Isnt this basically the samw as the Panasonic LX100 II ?
Can you set a MONOchrome set-up (EVF and screen), in DNG, and the color space in Adobe RGB? Can set-up different custom profiles like the Q3?
As the lens didn't change, is the image-quality (lens-quality) the same with the D-Lux 7 and the Lumix LX100II ?
Is there any improvement in image quality, does it have a new processor that may aid in that?
We will see finally everything when Leica publishes specifications, so far its not clear.
No….. no in all aspects. Exactly the same as 7 years ago. It’s just another outer, for those in need of a ‘Leica dot’. The camera market is rotting…. Badly.
@@drs-Rigo-Reus Not sure why one would go,with the DLUX8. Not really impressed.
I have 3 batteries for my Panasonic GX85 that are the same size and specs of the D-Lux 8 batteries. I'm sure I will be able to use them in the Leica.
Thank you for the comprehensive video. Does the Leica D-lux 8 have the same AutoFocus as Leica Q3 or still the same old AutoFocus like D-Lux 7? And does the Leica D-Lux 8 have the Film style/Leica Looks like Q3 or none at all?
I also notice Dlux 7 was made in China but D-lux 8 is made in Germany.
The big factors for me would be the Autofocus, picture quality, and dynamic range.
We will see finally everything when Leica publishes specifications, so far its not clear what all the details are, Leica just did not disclose the details yet.
Thank you for your great comparison and review.
Very thorough and informative. Thank you! (I giggled a little when you called the Q3 a compact camera though :) )
Too many points dependent on Leica publishing full specs. It wold have been better to wait until those specs are available. Also, what is the image quality like? Not enough to say that it's very close to the D-Lux 7, I didn't follow those reviews at the time. Sorry if I seem harsh, but this could have been a much better review.
An excellent comparison. Thank you.
Thanks for this useful comparison. Beyond the scope of your video but please can you help. When I press the shutter of my D-Lux 7 more than one photo is taken. Bracketing and stacking are turned off. The longer I press the shutter the greater number of photos are taken. I can find no solution and the problem is tempting me to sell the camera. I'm probably missing something. Gratefully Gerry
I had the D-Lux 7 when it was launched in November 2014. Unfortunately, the Leica D-Lux 8 is a little disappointing compared to the D-Lux 7. You would have expected more technical advances, but the new features are hardly worth mentioning. Instead of real improvements, it seems as if a few steps have been taken backwards. Too bad, I had hoped for a real upgrade! And I can't see paying €600 more for it. You'd be better off looking for a Lumix 100 II. It can do the same. The only plus point would be the new “Leica Like” menu.
I do wish Leica would have put a little more effort into this camera. I own the original LX-100. I love the camera but if you don't use it often the menu system is awful to navigate. This is one of the only reasons why I would upgrade to the D-Lux 8. A few extra MP is nice as well. I really want to know about wireless transfers which was poor in the older cameras. But the possibility of a direct cable connection to an iPad could be another great buying point for me... But I'd be 1/2 the way to the price of a used Q2 ;)
The two customizable buttons a the top of the back of the camera: Can one of them be customized to be a back focus button? I have loved using back focus on Canon and Olympus cameras, with which you can focus and the camera maintains the focus distance until you choose to re-focus.
you didn’t mention that the shutter speed on 8 only has 1/2000 and 7 got 1/4000 plus T mode.
is that going to make big differences?
New sub here. The D-Lux 8 looks very nice but might be hard to purchase as i already have the D-lux 7. Great video!
Let’s hope this gets Panasonic’s new PDAF lol
Let’s hope ot doesn’t. PDAF is sacrificing image quality for focusing. I’d rather have manual focus only and 100% sensor performance instead.
@@TomWangArt I'd prefer get less quality but perfectly focused image to perfect quality misfocused image
@@duhbiyung I have no issues at all using manual focus only on my M11 but I also don't listen to RUclips influencers who are forcing you to believe that you cant't take a single picture without a buttload of computational aids anymore. Apart from that contrast AF is actually more accurate than PDAF without sacrificing image quality, it's just not quite as fast... 🤷🏼
Mine D-Lux 7 after two and a half years started to show spots on the pictures.
Although the Guarentee was for two years, Leica Germany didn't hesitate to clean it for no cost. Yes, it's a problem, not just from these cameras, but at least Leica gives full support to fix it.
Now I use a leather case, a very nicely made and wonderful smelly and I hope it will help to keep the lens more protected from dust during transport.
Before I used the grip, which was absolutely necessary to handle comfortably, now with the leather case, there is no place for the grip, but as its depth increased, there's no need anymore.
It is not perfect, if ever there's such a camera, but it's high quality, very well built, and gives very good results. A pleasure.
And although the main characteristics are the same, I intend to trade my 7 for this new 8, because it has small but important upgrades.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
What upgrades exactly??
To me, there's nothing wrong with the sensor resolution. Also, I never get a blured picture, so there is no problem with IBIS. But a tilt LCD would be an important upgrade. Nevertheless, Leica made quite a number of small upgrades, which, on the whole, make a very positive development.
- exterior cover - premium look
- back and buttons - premium look and more user-friendly
- EVF Oled - better use
- USB-C - practicality
- LCD resolution - better use
- Shutter release button for cable release
- CMOS sensor - maybe the same results. Anyway, it's an upgrade.
- Bluetooth 5.0
- Menu structure and design
They didn't just change the name. Watch the video
It would be nice if a lot of pictures are included, tired of specifications
So the D-Lux 8 with small sensor or S9 with no EVF, both seem to miss the mark for photographers.
Just a rebadged Panasonic LX100 ii introduced in 2018. Same sensor, same controls, etc. And the Panasonic was at a MUCH lower price.
Great video. Keep up the good work. You've probably said it before but wat is the brand of the matte screen protector you use on the d lux 7 and other Leica's?
Hmmm... 17 mp vs 60mp....what to pick?
The port cover design is quite different, and has ridges. Is there any gaskets which would suggest better weather sealing?
Need to check, thanks for pointing out.
I need a second camera, I hesitate btw this D lux 8 and a ricoh griii, prime lense but apsc sensor, and smaller size…
Thanks for another informative video. I have the Q3 and three other recent Leica bodies plus a D-Lux 4. But the 8, S9, Fuji's VI all are what can be done in a small form factor. Toward that end, I recently got the Xiaomi+Leica 14 Ultra with photography kit, which I'm finding very interesting. It has four Sumilux lenses on the hardware side and the software side seems to be a Pro channel that seems to be influenced by Leica and the normal side which is consistent with the mobile phone community. Each side can do things that the other can't. But it can produce some great images, often in situations that I would normally think a mobile phone couldn't handle. There are many RUclips reviews of this phone, but none I've found are done from a Leica perspective. I've seen enough to believe that the photo technology included in this phone in particular, but also other mobile phones, is going to find its way to cameras such as the ones you've featured in this overview.
.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience, much appreciated.
Design is great with the exception of the play button position which seems to me to be too close to where you will place the thumb. Very nice review as always.
Thanks a lot for the kind feedback.
Hi. Thanks for another informative video. Oddly enough I have been using the Nikon Zf for a few months now. I'm in the market for something smaller to complement my Zf. Several days ago I pre ordered both the S9 and the D-Lux 8 because I believe that they both could be in short supply. I'm primarily a photographer so the lack of an EVF on the S9 concerns me. But I've read where the screen has a very bright setting. On the other hand the full frame sensor really appeals to me.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much really informative and well presented video, I am going to get one in July and super excited, thanks again from Lincolnshire uk
Glad it was helpful!
First, hope can see some accessory in the video.
How Leica will keep the compact camera line with big coms, and maybe 16-50mm F1.4-2.8 lens version, and 24-280mm F2.8-5.6, RX-10 type version (with M43 cmos)
I posted a link to all accessories in the infobox of the video.
@@mathphotographer thx
Will the small flash that the Lux comes with be compatible with the Q3?
Good question. I will find out, thanks for asking.
Can the lens focus ring be used as manual zoom when in autofocus mode?
Will the added hand grip of the seven fit on the new eight?
I don't understand why Leica doesn't put the adjustable display, stuck in the body is not good for macros!!
Does DLUX 8 have a hyperlocal scale so one can zone focus?
Cool Video. Machst du noch ein Video mit ein paar Bildern? Beziehungsweise hast du ein paar Bilder gemacht? Das würde mich echt noch interessieren. Für Street finde ich die ziemlich cool.
I also heard the body in the 8 is magnesium.
My first Leica camera was the D-Lux 2! It was a great, great little camera and I shot the hell out of it until I got my Leica M8. However, since then Leica has lost its value to me. However, I have to say this little D-Lux 8 has a lot of very nice features, especially the MFT lens which is very similar to the Olympus m43rds system I now use. I could see how this would be a great all round second body.
Thanks and indeed, exactly for what you said the D-Lux 8 will find its buyers, I am sure about that :)
@@mathphotographer I have my pre-order in. I just hope Leica make enough of them and don't make us wait a year to get one.
Hi, can you make a video for hasselblad X2D and 907X the new version 3.2.0
Can you check, if it´s possible to use the Grip from D-Lux 7 on D-Lux 8. Thanks you
Too bad it is only M4/3 and not aps-c for example. I need my small depth of field sometimes
Sounded like it is a D-Lux 7 with a few minor upgrades. Picture quality is the same too.
We will see finally everything when Leica publishes specifications, so far not all details are disclosed.
@@Kids11111 Pointless to test image quality, its exactly the same image quality as I get out of my two D-Lux 7 cameras since nothing material changed w.r.t. lens and sensor. I had to give the camera back to Leica, had it only for a short time.
f you own a dlux-7, please do some side by side shots. thank you
Thanks... very informative.
Pity we didn’t see the telescopic attributes of the lens. A critical factor in choice…✌️
Which “RED” shutter release are you using
Its from a non-brand, definitely not from Leica. It was a side gift with some other unrelated order and I forgot where I got it from, sorry. Leica sells more fancy ones, maybe worthwhile to explore in a Leica boutique.
anybody know, if the camera is dust and weather proof?
New updates today ?
Nice job! Thank you
I’m sorry but no flip up screen is a deal killer for me.
Always a highlight of my weekend
Thank you so much!
The fact that it is made in China is a deal breaker for me.
Nice camera for 2016.
S9 is much interresting with 26mm lens is very compact and - 1497 $.
D lux is more like leica - its nice... But, seriosly...
I whant 24-70 lens with New 25mp sensor with full lens cover, with phase detect, better battery. That will be cool! But this... No... Thanks.
great video my friend :)
No specs publicized? Why in Oskar Barnacks stool not?
‘You can take your photos, no one will notice’. Jeeeez.
The lens should have been upgraded, this smells of selling old warehouse stock…..
It's a D-lux 7 with a facelift. A very expensive one. I own a Q3 and an x100v for street.
Leica D Lux 8 = Leica D Lux 7 = 👎🏻
So order an x100VI. Bigger sensor, larger resolution, IBIS, ND, leaf shutter etc. far better value and quality….the D8 is a basic Panasonic….
D lux 8 design looks nice but the spec quite a let-down
Why was the Baby Q Made in China? They couldn't be manufactured and assembled in Germany? So why pay $1600 US that's made in China? Great storytelling but what is your great tie-down to purchasing a camera? I am not sold on it. it's just a beautiful new camera. You would think that Leica might reach out to Canadians to assemble a manufacturer of this beautiful camera in North America.
Fair comment. Thanks for sharing.
Love all the negative comments on D Lux 8 so maybe i can afford to buy it in few months before the stocks go sold out ahah
Lol :)
@@mathphotographer However I hope Leica doesn't use the "Fuji-strategy" of stock shortage.
@@Kids11111 Haha - so much emotion for nothing :) I did not pay a single dollar for the camera since I got it as a loan from Leica, its back at the Leica Store by now :) And by the way, "suckers" is not a word we use on my channel :)
Imao, less buttons and a different menu, laughable 'update'
Hmmmm spec of the camera on the left side is same as on a right side , altough you don’t need to wear camuflage uniform when shooting on street. No one will notice you in camuflage uniform on street , so I’m worried with black version. Is there any plan at Leica to remove that ugly red batch and make camera more stealt?
The lack of a tilt screen kills it for me. I want to take street photos from waist level
Fair point.

thank you for this..oh wow why did they go down to shutter speed of only 1/2000th? on the Lux-8 when the previous model went up to 1/4000th..thats kinda disappointing....no built in ND filter?.oh man I didn't know this is a micro 4/3 camera going in to watching this video or any info on this Leica D-Lux8...wow..its a no for me bc it is a micro 4/3 camera..lol at least I was hoping this was an APSC camera..lol to compete with the X100 bodies..lol
Thanks for sharing :)
Besides the new clothing on a 7 year old design, what exactly has this camera have to offer that the previous version couldn't do? The provision of the DNG is not enough, and if we believe that this camera is marketed at the kids with mobile phones on social media, an almost irrelevant feature. This camera reminds me of Hollywood actors who go under plastic surgery to rejuvenate their appearance, but underneath the hands of time has done what it always does and the age is showing. The S9 is a full frame, 25 MP camera with full phase detection AF and also low light capabilities, and it is almost as good looking as this ' new ' Leica D-Lux8. What is the point of this camera, but to cash in on the sudden popularity of the ' red cicrle '?
Missed opportunity by Leica. I hate digging through menus for settings. Hard pass.
