this was fascinating. Fifty years ago we got a forty five, an old wooden nightstick - and well, that was about it. One post I worked at had two or three cars on the road, spent many nights sitting on a couch in front of the desk drinking coffee till the patrol sup came along, threw us out and said go find something to do. Then I got Ft. Hood for a couple years, like going from Mayberry to a pretty good sized city where they expected real work outa you.
Great video Army. I did MP WORK in the Marine Corps. Days from 1987-1991. My MOS was 0317 Forced Recon sniper. 3 Marines 3rd Battalion 124 INF. Stealth unit! Call sign Shadow Man! Used all Vietnam era Allis Web belts with suspenders with shoulder straps. I had my M-12 holster, M-12 mag holder for my Colt 45 ACP 1911A1. 2 M-14 mag pouches for my AR-15. Calapsable stock. 2 SMITH AND WESSON CHAIN 100 AND HINGED 300 CUFFS. MACE POUCH. NAVY SOG RADIOS, SOCOM! 5 WATT. P-24 AND MY K-BAR! COMPASS POUCH AND MAP OF THE ZONE I WAS PATROLLING. FIRST AID KIT IN MY ROOK SACK CLEANING KIT. GAS MASK AND PLENTY OF ROUNDS! LOL! SEMPER FI.
He set his aimpoit up wrong. You need to push that all the way forward, so that his iron sights can deploy. If he leaves it like it is and his aimpoint stops working for whatever reason then he is screwed. You should learn that pretty early on in the army but apparently national guard hasn't caught on.
When you are signing up join military you are asked on paper yes or no if you would like to go overseas as for choosing where you get stationed that is wherever army needs you
"New US Army applicants will be able to chose their first duty station upon signing at a recruiter." You can chose exactly where you want to go for your first station if there are jobs in that field there. Lets say you enlist as a 31B and want to go to Japan; you will be able to either chose Camp Zama with the 88th/901st Company, (which also includes the Netherlands, Germany and South Korea), or Okinawa with the 247th Company. You wouldn't do much there other than guard duty but I used it as an example.
MPs in Iraq were just glorified infantrymen. They were conducting convoy escort and dismount patrol. No tickets or traffic stops... at least that is what I saw there
These videos deserve so much more recognition
these are great

Can we get a video on how you achieved Sgt 1st class as an MP?
Blue falcon probably
Drink games take a shot every he said detention and riot
I took a shot everytime he said “for”
What’s that intro song?
love the video
Carried similar as infantry, MP has more though for difference in missions
Like for those eyebrows
And those, boys and girls, are things you will never get as an MP.
I wonder if a person does military police can you choose to go overseas or not, or can you just stay within the 50 states

@@srm946 Not entirely true. They allow you to chose your first location but there has to be a spot open for you and there has to be a job available.
@@nitroxylictv wasn't aware of that thank you for information
@@nitroxylictvthis is incorrect. i’m 31B never got a choice. you don’t get to choose all the time. it depends on the needs of the army
Is this the same for active 31b or are they different?
NG will likely have better equipment. AD also does not really do disaster relief or riot control off base. But about the same equipment.
Cant wait
