When my father was working to build his business we would not see him for days on a stretch while he was still coming home every night. School and work hours never let us see each other. Somedays he would keep us home from school to see our faces and still remember what we sounded like. I am forever indebted. If there is love kids see it. The room full of presents on Christmas morning can not give them the happiness that knowing "my parents worked for me because they loved me "when they grow up.
This right here, A lot of the things that upset and make us angry at our parents when we are kids/teens. Tend to be the things that you respect an adult, when you mature enough to recognize the sacrifices parents make.
I am raising my siblings, i am pre med, my brother is going to be pre med soon and my sister is going to be a lawyer soon. Everyone in my family will be doctor or lawyer. I make sacrifices to so they listen to me but its worth it.
I wish I had a dad like Dave Ramsey. It would be amazing to have an involved dad who is continually there even as an adult to bestow wisdom and be proud of you.
I just started listening to Dave, and I am absorbing all of his wisdom. I wish I had begun listening years ago but it is never too late to start from this point. Everything he talks about is true to the heart and it resonates with everyone. Am so glad I started listening. My ears are thankful!!!
My life has changed because of Dave!! This guy is amazing btw they look alike :) beautiful relationship he is so smart and truly uses common sense that sometimes people forget about
God bless you Dave, min 2:56 is really what I needed to hear, sometimes I'm dealing with the guilt but by the grace of God and Dave's wise advices through his shows we paid everything off including the house!
I don't know if you read these comments later, but I have a followup question for you or your Dad regarding events expanding in a kid's mind. Do you think the same is true for negative events?
D Andrews I'm not Dave, nor am I a psychologist, but I can write to my worldview. They are pretty resilient. I think kids mostly grasp onto the good experiences, even if the bad outweighs the good from an outsider's perspective. Kids only know their day to experiences to be true, and I think to a certain extent, they think most every other kid's experience is nearly identical to their own.
The "wooden spoon" ah yes, how I remember! Any kid who has ever gotten the wooden spoon, turned out to be pretty damn successful! Parents need to use the wooden spoon again.
I don't agree with that wooden spoon theory. My son's step mother had a mental illness and beat my son with a wooden spoon...not everyone has the mental capacity to whip anyone. And that is why we have laws to protect kid's
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
What if one day Dave Ramsey woke up to find out his identity has been stolen and he has credit card debt! Stay tuned for next weeks episode to find out how Dave tackles this debt situation...

Yeah his kids are so lucky! my mom had nothing to do with me she was always out with her new bfs and never around and my dads a major alcoholic.
@@Division1xerox hopefully this isn’t offensive but sometimes it builds character in you. Also Dave. Had struggles in the beginning

I love your show!! One piece of feedback, the mint green color is hard to see your show logo due to the hue or brightness of the color.

Wooden spoon works well. Kids are born with no manners, parents need to show the how to behave.
I don't agree with that wooden spoon theory. My son's step mother had a mental illness and beat my son with a wooden spoon...not everyone has the mental capacity to whip anyone. And that is why we have laws to protect kid's
Why they don't share the last name?
Must be married to a Hispanic man

Wonder what Dave's net worth is?

Would for sure give Rachel my tip
liam Duvall 😂😏😏
A kid just needs a space to sleep on and do push ups, some times it can run outside from the pedophiles.
Step 1: be wealthy.
..thats it, thats all it takes lol especially in the caste system the US has created for itself
my take is how about not having kids? problem solved and easily done. yes or no?
David Ramsay’s primary god is money.
Lol I was raised by a narcissistic now I am one too. Not my fault.
