    Hey Ramsey Siblings !!!! Your Dad is like everyones Dad or I would say Uncle !!!! I listened to him for 20 years on the radio when I used to drive a semi truck and your Dad helped me retire by the young age of 39 and 6 paid off houses now !!!! LOL !!!! Your Dad rocks !!!! He took me a 15 year old high school dropout and made me very wealthy and I take the wealth and start up clean and sober living rental houses that are called Oxford Houses. Your Dad is helping 33 people in 4 houses now !!!! He probably helps more people than you know. Great video and story and thanks for posting !!!!

    Money gives you confidence. I mean look at Daniel's demeanor, the way he sits with his legs crossed....He has this aura about himself that he knows he never has to worry about money simply because he knows the principles of money. I absolutely love that. I hope to one day have that aura...That money confidence aura of knowing I can afford it but don't need it. It's coming💕

    • @jaybee6382
      @jaybee6382 3 года назад +3

      The confidence likely came from his upbringing; money is not a good foundation for confidence.
      It can be helpful in building dignity of being able to not depend on others though.

    I worked my way through college. What little my parents could do went to help my older sister. I continued to live with them and they paid my car insurance but I paid for school, clothes, other vehicle costs, most of my food, etc. I also continued to do chores to earn my keep. I had a job on campus during the spring and fall and a more lucrative hot, sweaty, summer job from which I saved to pay tuition and fill in the gaps for the rest of the year.
    I went on to grad school and continued to work and go to school. Six years for my bachelor's and four for my first master's. I did all ten years debt-free. I already valued work and I learned to value my education in a way I don't think my sister does.
    I got a second master's on student loans. Biggest financial mistake of my life. I wanted to get it over with because we were wanting to get married. My wife also had student loans when we got married. It crippled us financially for the first few years.

    Our kids blew us away. We were teaching them about money and they had to give 10%, save 40%, invest 40% and they could immediately spend 10%. Now the were pretty little. Our daughter was only 6 or 8 and losing her baby teeth. Well one night the tooth fairy came to visit and the next morning she gave half her tooth fairy money to her brother. We were shocked. We were scrambling to make change because it wasn't going to come out even. They made us very proud. They continued to do that for each other. And we in turn made sure we could divide it equally from that point forward.

      I believe that is a system where a parent matches dollar for dollar what their kids have saved for their first car. I don't know whether Dave and Sharon did this or not but they may have. Ken Coleman I believe did mention using that system with his kids when he was on an episode of Rachel's show.

    On the topic of kids' chores, is it better to give them cash or money on their debit card? My kids are 9, 10, and 15, and the oldest two have Greenlight cards which we love. Is it okay paying them through the card instead of cash?

Then when she gets cash it’s from a relative that tells her she wants her to spend it all on a gift. I have to then explain how we do money and be the bad guy.
